Congratulations kwentjules. If not for the greed of typical Nigerians, the scan people are supposed to tell you 6 weeks is too early to see the fetus in a pelvic scan. Go and get prenatal vitamins, register for antenatal if possible and eat healthy. Above all, don't put a driver in trouble with your walking on the road and not looking mbok.

I don't think seeing a foetus is the issue. .At 6weeks, They should have at least seen a gestational sac with or without fetal pole...

I believe she's pregnant though. . She should do a TVS to calm her nerves. .

Pls I need an urgent suggestion on dis my case.... saw my last AF on 13jan.. waited for dis month didn't see it.. did blood test, confirmed positive. I evn did stick it showed 2red lines.. den last week Wednesday I went for scan(6th week).. dey didn't see anything in my womb. Dey keep indulging her and she keeps making things worse.........and now my wide is spearheading a pack out when her oda siblings are kinda withdrawing.
Just think of it,........i feel if the woman is really tired of her home, she can call a cab,pack her tns herself and leave d house. like I said before,matriage shouldn't be a do or die affair!

I understand you. . But going by what you said her sister' s situation is: a situation that could trigger suicide. .. it wouldn't be right if they abandon her because she moved back before. . You don't the know psychological effect the whole situation has had on her...
They should take her to a counsellor when she's brought back..it's lack of self esteem/self worth that makes her keep going back to danger. .. she needs to get her life back...

As per the prenatal vitamins, me sef dey skip am o. The first one I bought made me sick, my doctor prescribed another one that has B6 tablets to curb the nausea, it still makes me sick sometimes. So whenever I don't feel like dealing with nausea, I will just skip it o. Not often Sha. I heard skipping once in a while is not that bad. After all out mothers didn't take prenatals and they gave birth to us healthy.

Our mothers may not have taken drugs but I think they took some herbals prepared for pregnant women which served same purpose as drugs we have today... Also, some mothers did take theirs. .then, it used to be given to them at the hospitals free, just to encourage them...

We have many malformed kids in Nigeria esp in the north because the babies lacked the basic nutrients they needed to form well...

I was skipping mine until my friend told me about a baby born with a hole in the heart at their hospital because of the mother's carelessness. .she wasn't taking her drugs. ..
Many doctors even advise you start folic acid before conception. .importance of prenatal drugs esp folic acid can't be overemphasised. .. Except you want to be running from one hospital to the other with your baby upon birth. ...
May God protect us and our babies as we do our part..
