PoliticsRe: Insider Account of the presidential Pardon by PrettyRita(f): 6:21am On Mar 14, 2013
Its Unfortunate that peoople are reacting like this. Perhaps we no longer remember the that tacit concent applies. Before Council of state meettings are held, notifications are issued and agenda circulated. This is to give the mmembers ample opportunity to study issues and ccoome up with a well thought out ideas. That some were not present doesn't mean they are against the pardon. They should have been there to challenge it. Often times, members that would be unavoidable absent often communicate their position or support in advance resolution of the members. Let's not deceive ourselves, they all concented. Gej didn't pardon them the council did

PoliticsRe: Northern Governors And Elders Secretly fund Boko Haram From Saudi Arabia by PrettyRita(f): 12:45pm On Mar 12, 2013
I have always suspected them. Their silence and insincerity towards the resolution of the crisis supports this. I just hope our security agencies will keep a closer look on them and address the issue once and for all. But history has already recorded it against them
PoliticsWhat Has The Dialogue Between Borno Governor And Boko Haram Achieved? by PrettyRita(op): 12:41pm On Mar 12, 2013
The once celebrated ceasefire that greeted the alleged dialogue between Borno state governor and a faction of Boko Haram appears to have yielded no result. While nigerians and international Organisations celebrated the move and even nominated him for an international ward, his efforts now appears to have been a decoy. After the announcement of ceasefire, several blasts have been heared, many people killed, govt facilities attacked, banks robbed and so on. The question then is, what has the massively celebrated dialogue achieved? Where are the sect members that were engaged by the state govt?
Or did Borno state governor call them to fund their operation in the guise of dialogue? How much did he give to them?
PoliticsRe: What Efforts Have Northern Elders Made In Addressing Terrorism ? by PrettyRita(f): 12:31pm On Mar 12, 2013
Their effort has been to sponsor the BH from the backdoor, make the polity and state ungovernable thereby leading to Gej's failure and ultimately demand for amnesty for their lazy youths. Misplaced priority. I pity them
PoliticsRe: NPF Spends N2 Billion In Games, Yet Their College Is In Shamble. Advice Police by PrettyRita(op): 6:22pm On Mar 11, 2013
take dat: There is nothing bad in the police force, organising a special games for its men and officers. Olympic medallists like Chioma Ajunwa and Sunday Bada, were discovered from these games. If our complaint is over the amount allocated for the games, then it can be reviewed but to say its a misplaced priority is misleading!
I'm afraid U ignored the vital issues raised. How can U reconcile the 2billion voted for the games and the perceived deplorable condition of the police colleges? How can U reconcile this with the absence of technical equipment in the force? How can U defend the idea of hosting a sport jamboree/festival with over 4000 officers when innocent nigerians are begging for security in the North? Which should be prioritised?

PoliticsNPF Spends N2 Billion In Games, Yet Their College Is In Shamble. Advice Police by PrettyRita(op): 3:55pm On Mar 11, 2013
Nigeria is a funny country. Few weeks back, ChannelsTV stunned the nation with a revealing documentary that shook the Police Force, it's Ministry and the presidency. The documentary highlighted basically the deplorable state of the police college Ikeja. Live images of facilities at the college were clearly captured, leaving many with a provoked thought. The question then was, is there any budgetary allocation for such institutions? If yes, who manages it? Although GEJ later visited the college and we hear that something may be done soon, recent information about the ongoing Police games taking place at Port Harcourt is more worrisome.
The IGP told journalists in Abuja that over 2billion has been budgeted for the games. N500 million for prizes, accommodating and kits, while 1.5billion was set aside for insurance. The question then is, why spend so much when your college is in a deplorable state? Why send over 4000 personnel for sporting festival when hundreds of innocent Nigerians are being killed in the north? What is the IGP insuring with 1.5billion? Is this prudence? What is the relevance of the games to the maintenance of law and order? Shouldnt they use such funds for training, retraining, and purchase of security equipments? Please advise the Nigerian Police Force.

If its an exams, the NPF already have a carryover. This exams is obviously too hard for them. Very unreliable, corrupt, ineffficient, with enshrined lethargic attitude to work. They are our number 1 wahala

PoliticsRe: Soldiers find rifles, bomb-making items in Kaduna politician's house by PrettyRita(f): 5:50pm On Mar 06, 2013
Buhari is just making good his promises. He feels what he cannot get through voters card, he could get by intimidating nigerians to submission. If he likes, he should go and pile up missiles, he is perpetually unelectable. And the blood he has promised to shed will be that of his kindred. No amount of bomb factory in his followers apartments will make us change our impression about him, neither will it bring back the lives of corpers and victims of boko haram.
PoliticsRe: Buhari's Speech At Africa Diaspora Conference London by PrettyRita(f): 12:58pm On Mar 06, 2013
The cry of an unwanted man. A perpetually unelectable man. He made reference to the 2003 and 2007 elections, but forgot the 2011 elections because the audience had earlier praised Gej that the election was d fairest in nig history. Come to think of it, does the man that truncated democracy have a moral right to complain that he is being rejected in a democratic arrangement? Is he now democratic? Well we won't forget Elrufai's advice in a hurry. Obviously he was invited to show his pitiful, shameful, and irresponsible self. He didn't betray his audience.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Police Games Amidst Insecurity In Nigeria by PrettyRita(f): 7:51am On Mar 06, 2013
Bunch of clowns, can't even protect themselves. I'm sure there is an opening for embezzlement that's why they won't suspend the games to mourn their fallen commissioner or face the security challenges staring them in the face. I heared 500m and 1.5b, hmmmmm! Fools.

PoliticsRe: The Hypocrisy Of Amanpour And CNN by PrettyRita(f): 4:40pm On Feb 05, 2013
Wadeoye: Why is Jonathan lying to the world that he has revolved power problem in Nigeria. He said power has improved in Lagos, Abuja, etc. Where is the improvement and what can we call power improvement? The same epileptic supply despite the huge tarrif?
GEJ didn't say he has resolved power. He said that is one sector that has improved and Nigerians are happy about it. He also mentioned that there is room for improvement. Where is the lie here? How many megawatt did he inherit? How many do we have today? You do the calculation.
PoliticsRe: The Hypocrisy Of Amanpour And CNN by PrettyRita(f): 4:38pm On Feb 05, 2013
I've never changed my opinion about the US and their antics. When you are in their good books, they use both local and international media to portray your good side, but when you criticize them, the turn against you with all available arsenals. Few Nigerians were shocked that power failure could also be experienced in the US, and in their amazement they tweeted. Amanpour and her crew hadn't the time to justify the power failure, or lament the poor preparation that preceded the super bowl. They resorted to blackmail and propaganda. It's just like saying: why did you abuse my mother? Your mother nko? grin grin grin grin
Bunch of clowns. we that are in Nigeria know that power has improved. Wherever she manufactured her comments from, whoever she paid to recite her already written comment is non of my business. She is just a liar. A big one.

PoliticsRe: The Hypocrisy Of Amanpour And CNN by PrettyRita(f): 2:39pm On Feb 05, 2013
berem: Is it possible for her to loose her job simply because she made a report about Nigeria and her epileptic power supply? Oh please spare me that crap! she only made a report and i don't see any hypocrisy in it.why attacking the woman anyway? na she be oga for nepa? probably ACN and CPC paid her for the report. smh!
If I read and understood the post, it maintained that the documentary was a sponsored propaganda, whether by opposition or CNN, to sway our attention from their deficiencies e.g power failure during the super bowl. GEJ is trying especially in the power sector. I may disagree on many other issues, but on power, I will give it to him. Amanpour should go beyond the protection of Americas image to realistic reporting that is based on objectivity.
PoliticsRe: Amanpour Interviews Nigerians In Lagos About Power Outage by PrettyRita(f): 10:40am On Feb 05, 2013
The truth is, power has improved in Nigeria. I bet you, if we were as old as America is today, light won't go off for one second, especially with the structure GEJ has put in place.
Amanpour could not stand the shame of power going off in the states, and in defense, she sieves, selected those that will suit her mission to sensationalize the matter. Atleast Nigerians now know that america isn't what we think. They are not what they claim or portray. Nigeria is improving.
PoliticsRe: The Unforgiveable Political Sins Of GEJ by PrettyRita(f): 4:31pm On Feb 01, 2013
confusion247: What is the most important thing? Exposing corruption or fighting corruption?
You don't fight the unseen. The fight against corruption is done in stages. Exposé corruption, then fight it. Of course we are beginning to see results. Farouk has been taken into custody, police pension thief rearrested and so on. Did all these start today? Obviously no. We are aware of them today, because GEJ has decided to expose them. Lets give him credit atleast for once.

First to comment.
The man wants to die in the presidency. Me think that is his wish grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
And Elrufai is busy fanning the unrealistic dream. How does he intend to lead the country into prosperity?
The only appointment he would have enjoyed(Boko Haram Appointment) he turned it down. We can't help him, me too need power.
PoliticsRe: Oshiomole Wants Police Probed For Auchi Attack by PrettyRita(f): 8:21am On Dec 06, 2012
an attack and killed one of the bandits, some of who attempted to bomb a private residence where the soldiers reside.
Osho has said it all. “I was not happy that the police had to park the Armoured Personnel Carrier behind the Area Commander’s office, instead of being at strategic location in Auchi town. It shows that the police are not using the funds given to them maximally. I am not impressed because the APC ought to be in operation.
It is unacceptable. “They should begin to account for their negligence of duty, incompetence or both.

“I believe the police will have to do investigation to reassure us that we are safe. The fact that they can attack two police formations and do that kind of damage show the need to revisit the role of policing and their operational order.”

This IGP MUST BE INVITED TO THE HOUSE. THINGS APPEAR TO BE GETTING WORSE UNDER HIS WATCH
PoliticsRe: FG Okays N2.2bn Party, Events Hall For Aso Villa by PrettyRita(f): 12:36pm On Nov 29, 2012
Why are people being abusive over what they don't have control over? Instead of attacking the issue constructively, they are busy attacking personalities. Who no like better looks? Who no like security? Make una leave jor. Also Rock is the seat of Govt, it deserves the best facilities. If N2b will upgrade it to meet international standard, then the proposal is not out of place.
PoliticsRe: Oyerinde: Kudos To Police by PrettyRita(f): 10:39am On Nov 22, 2012
Let them show us Sani Mohammed first. I heared they have also released the notorious Boko haram commissioner of police, Zakari Biu. They have never been thorough, committed, or credible.
They said they paraded 18 persons, the first paragraph says 6 persons for murder. So the police is now parading two sets of suspects abi? Of course the SSS parading their suspects, got confessional statement, brought out recovered items, and linked the items to the crime. This report tells us that the police have paraded the suspects without evidence. Innocent people. The whole police structure is fraud. N20

Those who think Ribadu report can be hijacked to heat up the polity have failed. GEJ is committed to transforming the oil sector and no amount of sponsorsored protest by indicted subsidy scammer and Dino Melaye can stop the ongoing revolution. The transformation agenda is a moving train, it will not stop untill it gets to its destination.

PoliticsRe: El Rufai Accuses JTF Of Killing Gen Mohammed Shuwa by PrettyRita(f): 4:52pm On Nov 05, 2012
Each time these terrorists are aware that their victim enjoyed people's goodwill, and their attack may affect the support they enjoy from illiterate community, and religious leaders, they claim that they are not responsible. The Mubi case cannot be forgotten in a hurry. Their denial may be to divert attention of investigators. It may also be to eliminate the problems that would have greeted the attack e.g reprisal, condemnation by some of their supporters and so on.
