I disagree with the DG.

The damn NYSC should be scrapped and the money be invested in other useful things.

Na the useless NYSC dey carry some people go another state and on completion, refuse to go back to their useless states.

Lagos, Ogun, Kano and Kaduna are dominated by people from other places and in their own states they come from, you pay for even the air you breath and therefore, nobody stays back there. 

You will be seeing prospective Corp members from places like Lagos, Ogun, Kano and Kaduna attempting to work out ways of serving in their states but same cannot be said of some backward villages. 

If the scheme should continue, it should modified such that corp members will be serving in their states. Enough of these migrations.

NYSC is really not a waste of time, there have been recount of how the program has made some folks save and by the end they got some amount(tho not much) to start smtin probably a petty business and on the long run has established lotta people, so many met their destiny helpers thr this program, so many discovered their self, some the love of their lives, some made a tremendious connection for life thr this same program.

I hate Lagos with my life. I can't spend two nights there. So, get dey fvck out of here.

To me scrapping it shows a level of foolishness among these law makers. The only reason they want to scrap it is cuz they're paying corpers and want to cut it short nothing more. Useless people

That is why you would hear them say "ipob boys" "die in the lagoon" "jihadists" people are simply being programmed to a certain narrative. Unfortunately very few people see fellow Nigerians first as human beings before adding the ethnic and religious coverings.

Lastly it is funny when I see the hate being propagated towards Muslims because of Boko haram and in my mind I think "These people -presumably christians - actually read the passage on the good Samaritan"

When Libyans took up arms against the Libyan state, they thought they were doing the right thing. They thought the solution to their problems then was getting rid of Ghaddafi, and there was nothing anyone could have told them to dissuade them from continuing with their campaign.

Today, Libya is by far worse off than it was during the time of Ghaddfi. The country is now fragmented, with warlords ruling over the fragmented bodies.

Also, their country is now a training ground for terrorists all thanks to that mistake they made that no amount of counselling would have stopped them. If they had known what would become of their country as a result of their action, I am sure they would have done something different.

In Nigeria, we are gradually taking that route. Thanks to politics, we have refused to look at our problems from an objective point of view, instead we choose sentiment all the time. The same sentiment that drove the Libyans to self destruction.

When someone says there are external forces whose interest is to destabilise the country behind what is happening in Nigeria, despite having several countries to make reference with, educated people will shout him down and call him a liar, because like the Libyans, they don't want to listen to the voice of reason until it is too late.

We have Syria, we have Libya and a host of others to take example from, but we are closing our eyes.

You have just said the truth. And I have been bashing ibo too. The elders need to be washed down publicly to reformat their brains. If the likes of Joe Abah, Nnamani, and some other good guys can lead ibo, nothing will stop the southern region. Igbo is the weak point of the south. But take my words, if ibos can unite and bull crap financial rewards for Judas, (one or two of them always take from the north during presidential elections) and they can negotiate with others, nothing is stopping the south. I so much love the unity and love thrown towards ibos during this out cry. Ibos are too much. Very adorable people when United. But when that "mentalo" called "self pride" enters them...they are something else.

Let Ibos join the race and join the other southerners to face these useless northerners.

I am still amazed as to why a top General in the place of Chief of Army Staff should be flying in a old small turbo prop beechcraft 350 aircraft manufactured in the 70s. Is it that there re no modern aircrafts in NAF or NA fleet??

If the accident was indeed weather related, modern aircrafts wouldn't have just gone down like that..

I don't subscribe to this logic, if avoidable deaths of our brilliant minds is your reason why Yoruba must hold on to a seemingly failed marriage, then, you don't mean well for Yoruba race. Instead, their loss should be a motivating factor to want to opt out and form a country where their safety is guaranteed and their values highly respected.
