Is everything about u guys competition? Why do u hate igbos so much? The movie wasn't to compete with anyone. In fact these movies u mentioned, I have never heard of them. U need to understand that people have different taste.

U mentioned Yemi, the VP, he is yoruba na. He will watch his movie and promote his content. There are top igbo leaders who will choose the lionheart and other igbo movies ahead of the ones u mentioned.

Movies have Target market. Lionheart market is the igbo culture and lovers of igbo. It is not competition..

Perhaps you saw another movie. The movie I watched was predictable, bad cinematography, bad directing, bad scene play and lack of substance in the story. There was virtually no conflict. It is the conflict that make good movie stand out. The actors were great, no doubt. Still, you should admit that the movie would have been better if Nkem Owoh played the villain.

Some actors are good in some roles. It doesn't mean they are below par with others. Is is how best for them to showcase their craft. She should cast Nkem Owoh as the villain.

A talented actor doesn't translate to good director. Forget what you saw in the on the credits. Genevieve Nnaji was practically involved in directing the movie. It was a bad job. Kemi Adetiba would have done better. Kunle Afoloyan as well.

Everything here in this county shouldn't be about yoruba vs igbo na..

I understand the movie lacked script content.. No much action, suspense was lacking.. Yes.. But the cinematography was okay bro. Best I av seen so far.

Her idea was to promote a culture and to show the enterprising nature of her people. At least I love that. I was tired of marriage crises movie, runs girl movie, ritual and armed robbery movies.. This was unique.. Give her credit for this and there is no need comparing. Everything no be yoruba vs igbo kind of thing..

The movie is bad. The script is bad. The D.O.P was below average. The scene play is bad. Excellent acting from Genevieve, Pete Edochie and our very own Nkem Owoh.

The story doesn't has much conflict. Everything was predictable. I think Genevieve should just concentrate on acting/production. Almost all the actors gave good account of themselves. The problem with the movie is lack of content, bad directing and screen play. And bad scene play as written earlier.

With this, I believe the best director in Nigeria is Kemi Adetiba. She would have done better. I think Wedding Party is better.

I understand where u are coming from. I share same sentiment too.. But wedding party suffered the same fate. The problem is usually lack of action. I watched wedding party and I was angry with the storyline. Kinda same I want to marry u, her family no like me, his family no like me but we ended up marrying last last..


Unlike the lionheart, this story line is about business. Though I understand the script lacks suspense. Went too fast and scenes are predictable. But for bringing something quite new to us in terms of business enterprise of the east, promoting the culture of east and north in a modern way, I love that. I think that is what she wanted to achieve. The problem is with the lack of suspense and action.

But on a serious note. What we do not need now is another change of government. When you are on a cliff edge in a bus about to tip over into the abyss, the last thing you want to do is jump to safety. You rather tiptoe. If Nigeria enters into another round of uncertainty then recession is the most likely scenario. Things are desperately bad now but we may not be able to survive another politcal surgery right now. The Buhari led government may be the safest bet for 2019.

When I think of a country like Italy and the way it changes its government like traffic lights at the slightest hint of citizen disapproval, it is no surprise they are one of the non performing euro economies of the last half millenia. It may be better that we keep this government for another four years but strengthen the Legialature to act as a counter weight and performance primer.

But see the issue. Nigerian leaders are too selfish and they take the masses for granted. Bros, just look at how much GEJ and OBJ will be paid this year alone, 4.6 billion naira. That is how all these ex leaders earn and finish us.

Your suggestion could have worked if only we have leaders who have conscience. Unfortunately, we dont. The best for me is to make them know that we can change them anytime. This will make them to begin take the country serious. Maybe over time, we can consider leaving them for long.

Buhari may not be interested in looting but his friends, relatives, family members are using this opportunity to loot bro. Finally, he is quite a weak leader who is too sentimental. I feel he maybe under heavy jazz.. What could make his wife to voice out twice about some cabals running the govt no be ordinary. Also, how can u order ur IG of police to attend to a mission and he refused and u couldnt sack him?

Na, u see, he may have good intentions but he is so weak to rule Nigeria. Now, a change of govt will teach others lesson that they should up their game. We just av to create that trend. These leaders have taken the country for a ride for too long..

Also, these other parties are stupid. They could have simply merged together to fight both pdp and apc.

I am not really a political guy, I have seen obi as governor, he didn't really do anything out of the ordinary. Same with atiku as vice president.

But my greatest fear is celebrating mediocrity. Allowing the current government to continue is nothing short of that. In a sane country, I would be voting sowore or Hashim but we all know weren't living in one.

I am voting atiku not because he has an excellent record - no Nigerian politician does. I am voting him to create a trend in the country. A trend that all unperforming leaders will be booted.

If atiku fails to perform before 2023, I am definitely voting him out too. My loyalty lies not with any political party but with Nigeria

Same here, I wish we could create that trend. It will help us a lot. Politicians will sit up but if Buhari wins next election, nothing for us. Politicians will continue to take us for a ride.

On a serious note, I examined pdp 16 years and I realized taht the party didn't even do much for the south east and south south.. GEJ did even more for the northerners than he did for south south.. Or east..

I have also realized that aside east and south south, no other major region is willing to vote for any party without having their son or daughter running as a mate. Yaradua was from the north, the igbos voted for him. Obasanjor had plenty votes from the east too even though he is from west..

I think igbos just care much more about the economy more than appointment or ethnic interest.. They just want policy that makes business move. I want to careless about the country jareee.. I await until the day Nigeria will catch up with ordinary south Africa.
