Bamibello:
Unfortunately what you don't understand is that these stops are not carried out for the purpose of apprehending criminals, they stop people with only one agenda at the back of their minds...bribe money!. We all know how it works, don't deceive yourself. There is also no real evidence that these bandits have in anyway helped to reduce crime..all they do is wild guess criminals and destroy the already rotten image of the NPF by engaging in torture and all sorts of disgraceful practices including jungle justice. If you want to confirm this, borrow a tokunbo car from a dealer, wear gucci, hold an iPhone and drive by a SARS checkpoint(which is banned and illegal BTW). Once you drive by, I'm 100% sure they'd stop you and search you and the car thoroughly without a warrant. When they finally see there's nothing incriminating on you or even if they find something really stupid like "why do you have instagram on your phone", the next thing they'd do is get desperate and look for any stupid way to asl you for money...ways like "Come wash the car for us na". "I would shoot you and nothing would happen"etc. Criminal outfit with notorious criminals as members.
A typical statement of a Nigerian.. And who told u I dont drive pass these guys? The last time they stopped me, it was due to my dressing. They felt I was a yahoo boy. They stopped and asked some questions.. I never care to worry my self with all the stories about these Guys. Why? Becus there are bad guys everywhere.. In military, Navy, etc. And there are good guys. I comported my self. I had no skeleton to hide so whatever they like, they are free to check.

Internet fraud is high in nigeria and it is normal for security men to go even beyond normal to check.

Could u believe that in Abaraka, over 70% of boys there who have money are fraudstars? Worse part of it is that they now kill humans to practice their fraud. Internet fraud is almost a way of life for many youths..

It is not bad if officers questions your source of income. The last time they stopped me, that was their major concern and I had to prove to them that what I told them I do is what I actually do. U don't blame them, fraud and crime rates are high here.

As for if they help reduce crime.. I just wish this can be done.. I wish they can just allow police go on strike for just two days. Maybe u would understand better. The last time police went on strike here.. Just few hours of strike, it wasn't funny. Ask those who can remember

SARS should continue its work.

I am a law abiding citizen who has never been treated badly or falsely by SARS.

They've always been in operation and appear to be even more effective than ever.

There's a lot of room for improvement but SARS must stay.
Thank you o. Same here.. I abide rules and regulations.. I av never been maltreated by any security unit in this country.. I have no bad business to hide.. I talk to them politely and soundly.

Someone even asked why they should SARS should stop and search a car driven by happy young men and women.. I was really shocked to read that.

Abeg they dey write armed robber for person face? SARS must stop and search any car if need be. In many instances across the country, stop and search has helped to catch ritualists who looked happy and innocent too..

Nigeria is a dangeeious society, many look innocent but are ritualists, criminals, fraudstars etc. SARS must stay.

The SARS i knw are drunkards and weed smokers....
well, it is normal.. their job is not easy bro... and those people get killed and ur useless govt forgets them and their family members. It is not easy for them..

how many times av u seen them with ordinary bullet proof ? Ordinary safety kits, this country cant provide for them. Their job is extremely risky with low motivation.. they just find way to motivate themselves.. I think our request should be for Nigeria govt to do the right things to improve the standard of living of security men.

Thank you jareee.. I av lived in this country and traveled to many parts of the country.. I av encountered so many road blocks.. I av met SARS officers.. I av never had any sad experience with any security officers.. It depends on how u carry your self..

Most Nigerians always want to intimidate police men. I was at a city centre in Ibadan few weeks ago and I saw how a civilian was pointing finger at a police man and was insulting him badly. The policeman was calm. Most Nigerians only respect corps outside nigeria.. I av never had any negative experience once.

I remember the day I was stopped by SARs guys.. They stopped me because of how I dressed.. It was embarrassing but I stopped and allowed them ask me their various questions and I answered politely and intelligently. It is a matter of how u approach them.

And Nigerians don't know how bad yahoo yahoo has become in Nigeria.. We are being pushed to accept it as a way of life.. It is almost becoming a way of life here. Sad.

well, it is funny how most of us cant read inbetween the lines.. what the white officer said was not that the police is the best in the world in terms of real and calculative performances.. however if u are to judge the Nigeria police based on their poor salary structure, poor equipment, poor promotion and motivation and the risky nature of their job, they are still doing fine.

Try and pay ur senators poorly like that and see if they would even work. Try and pay ur governors poorly like that and see if they would even come to office..

try and treat ur lecturers like that and see if they will not shut down the uni forever. U see, an average police man cant even buy a good car.. We even laugh at them when we see them..

we are really funny in Nigeria.. we expect police low rank officers to dress so well and we forget that they pay for their uniforms and kits with poor salary and family to take care of.

An average police man cant even build a house because he is poorly paid.. no life insurance and their job is risky. The police force lost a gallant officers who was among those who nabbed Evans, he was shot because there was no bullet proof with him.

Look at that Mopol who was shot multiple times at a bank in Owerri, that was possible because he had no safety wear at all..

Come-on, we are too harsh on these guys.. we hate police so much and we even celebrate yahoo boys.. I really dont know how we got it this wrong in Nigeria. The same pains we claim that police cause to us, is what yahoo boys cause to their victims. we really expect those guys to perform miracles with the current state of things//

Have u gone to the barracks to see where those men live with their kids? Nigerians are unfair to these guys. I really pity them. Nigeria is not worth serving for any reason. They just die for nothing.

Lol! The point of my right up is that western world ll Bleep up your life with debt despite all your efforts. The whole hustling in Canada ll give you the same life you r running away from in Nigeria.

Have you ask yourself this question, Why do white people commit suicide? Have you? They do cos they are tired of the system.

What’s the point of working like a Slave and live like a pauper.

What’s the point in cold weather like freezer year year out with nothing to show for it.

The average money you ll earn ll be $1500, the one flat you stay ll take $1100 to $1200 of that. The rest of your bills ll take at least $200 apart from food and miscellaneous.

A lot of citizens not immigrants who are unable to find jobs go on county benefit which is like what Almajiris get on the streets from philanthropist. The money is as bad as Nigeria #5000 welfare Money.
No wahala, I go like live there.. life expectancy is still higher than all black african countries.. life span here is short.

Never ever wish yourself what you don’t know much about

I am a citizen too and i am telling you what a normal dreamless Nigerians wouldn’t tell you about western world.

Yes, 100% excellent social infrastructures are available but trust me, it comes with it’s own price which you might find repulsive later.

I ll use another thing you have really talked much about as another case study, and that is education.

If anyone tell you anything different from what i am about to tell you here, that person is your enemy and a dreamless person who is unknowingly selling the future of his grandchildren just like a lot of Nigerians who had their children in Canada, USA, France and UK etc. Trust me, i ll make my explanation simple for you to comprehend. You can say success in life depends on universities you get your certificates from but trust me, it doesn’t matter except few universities(Harvard, Cambridge, Stanford, Oxford and MIT).

Education in western world is all ruse and trap to keep you in the perpetual debt from generations to generations. In an average(any) homes in all western world including Canada, you ll get a loan of £10,000 each year in university. At the end of your degree program, your destiny is already laced with debt worth about £40,000($68,527 as today exchange rate). Let’s covert that to naira, that’s about #20,000,000million.

Please, take a look at that debt of 20,000,000 being forced on you by your own parents and the system you called excellent. In this same vein, your potential girlfriend/fiancée is laced with the same predicament. In combination, you both ll be owing about #40,000,000million on the stupidity of parents who fail their children woefully through a system that has been created to keep you like that for life. Jobs are not equally available but better than what we have in Nigeria. Some even end up in somewhere similar to Shoprite after graduation grin grin.

As if that it’s not enough, after 3 to 4 years, you want to settle down with your fiancée and start raising kids before old age set in. You begin to plan towards mortgage instead of renting. The average home in these countries ll cost you about £250,000($428,000). Let’s convert that to naira, it’s about #180,000,000 million. This debt including that one you and your wife had while in university ll spread over the next 25-30 years of your lives. Now, flip the coin to this part of the world-Nigeria and Africa as whole where your loving parents and wonderful governments save your ass from everlasting and sorrowful debt by charging you little which your parents ll pay and get the same certificates with the rest of the world except few outstanding Universities. If you in doubt, check the names of Nigerians and other Africans who are in top management roles in multinationals organisations and other international institutions with their first degrees from Nigeria universities while those from your almighty countries are hardly found in these institutions.

Please, with this little revelation, do you see the likes of Aluko Dangote, Otedola, Alakija etc in Nigeria communities around the world? No No No.

With their system up there, you see how the lives of your counterparts born abroad are even worse than yours back home in Nigeria.

They live their lives in debt and die in debt.

If i dig more for you about western world, you go fear fear. It’s all poverty in disguise, it takes smartness to see this and help your children future out of this trap.

Peace.
This is my point so far: this was said by a senator during the Senate session on the 2018 budget.
Excerpt)*
Senator Bruce said: “If you look at the budget from 1960 to the present, you have agencies that were designed for 1960, agencies that were designed for the Nigerian civil war, agencies that were designed to suit some certain conditions in life. 60 years later, those agencies still exist in the budget. If you look at the budget, you will see that some agencies get recurrent expenditure, they pay salaries, they get houses, computers, cars, but they have no money to do any work. Some agencies are so bloated. It defies logic but these agencies exist. So, we have 2.4 million people consuming 60 per cent of the recurrent expenditure of Nigeria. It doesn’t make any sense.”

About 2.4 million people consume 60% of the recurrent expenditure of Nigeria..

That is where the issue lies.. We have money to fund education but we spend it on stupid workforce while the masses suffer..

My brother, keep me in a country where I can work and get paid well and pay expensive stuff and not in a country where I work and get lowly paid and get cheap and poor quality stuff.

The price of that one bedroom in Canada is for average flat just like what you stated up there about Nigeria.

Trust me, make a Dollar to Naira today and see all Nigerians returning home.

All Nigerians in those places are only managing and consoling themselves with exchange rate. Take this away and see how quick Nigerians ll pack their bags and leave.

Like i said to you earlier, In developed countries just like Canada, their own poverty is as bad as what you have in Nigeria but well packaged.

I don’t argue with you cos i know you wouldn’t listen until you see it yourself. Even if you see it and your dreams are limited to food and Owambe, you won’t see what i am saying.

Typical is this, at Xmas, Igbos usually return to the East to celebrate that festivity with their loved ones and show their success throughout that year. Nigerians love life and the whole knows that. Why do you think only 5% of Nigerians come home to celebrate this special festivity with their loved ones? Take a look at that and the answer to your misery is right there.
okay ma brother.. no wahala.. make Nigerians begin to pay extreme high school fees in public universities while millions are live below poverty level. I dont understand why u are making this blind argument. There is no way u can compare Nigeria with Canada.. No country is perfect but the average live span in Nigeria now is 47 for female and 45 for male.

U dont know that many factors such as financial stress, hunger, poor medical facilities, etc cause this. My brother, u keep forgetting that what an immigrant is entitled to is not what a citizen is entitled to..

No one is saying that when u get to advanced countries, u begin to pick money from the floor. I am only saying that they have policies which can help anyone live a better life. My friend of over 4 years is a canadian. she is just an average canadian who does average job..

But u cant compare her as an average citizen in Canada to average Nigerian citizen. That is my point. They can easily afford such expensive school and there are countless scholarships and grants to assist their citizens go to good schools..

My main point here is that we all know that millions of Nigerians live below poverty line.. we know that millions are still uneducated, we also know that millions are grossly under paid, we also know that Nigerians pay for electricity and also pay for expensive fuel just to generate electricity. we also know that millions have to source their own water here and transport is expensive compared to par capital income..

u are talking about Canada, have u checked their par capital income and compare that to Nigeria? I cant believe u are making an argument on this..

Tell ur leaders to cut their salary and allowances, cut down on the number of aids they have, invest heavily on electricity and education. We dont need to punish the poor masses further to achieve this..

Go to market and see the number of old women and men who sell stuff on the street to survive.. na those people go pay high to train kids in school abi?

Did he equally told you that a one bedroom flat ll cost you nothing less than $1,200 without gas, electricity and other expenses?

They live in disguised poverty too.

The average salary in a month is about $1,600.

Do the calculation yourself?

If it’s that easy, millions of Nigerians in USA and Canada ll be coming to Nigeria for a visit year in year out.

Stop deluding yourself.
Bros, no where is easy.. Things are expensive there, yes.. But u can always work the money out..

There is no way u can compare nigeria and Canada.. Pls stop this blind argument..

Tell your leaders to cut their useless expenses and channel the money to building and developing public facilities..

That is what is done somewhere else.. Also, to get a decent apartment in nigeria, u would spend between 500 to 1000 dollars without gas, electricity, water, cleaning services, etc.

A country where more than 50% of fresh graduate earn less than 50k naira per month..

Nigeria has the highest rate of people leaving the country to other parts of the world. If things are okay, why are they leaving.

And this is what many Nigerians want in their public schools for just 50000 per session.

You see why your fees have to go up.

Or we take a loan of 100bn dollars from IMF so that we can keep fees low
Bro, we have enough money in Nigeria to get that done without heavily taxing the masses..

The political leaders earn too much and inflate contracts prices a lot.

Your national assembly alone earn so much.. ur governors and their aids earn too much. The ordinary masses in Nigeria are very poor.. Poverty rate is high.. minimum wage is still 18k..

A friend in Canada, she is a Canadian, she told me that in her own region where she stays, minimum wage is 11 dollars per hour. Now, that means the least anyone can earn per hour in that region.

This means if someone works for 10 hours per day, the person would earn $110 for that day. This is the minimum one can earn per hour. This means there are people who earn far more than $11 per hour.

With this payment rate, poverty level becomes very low. Very very low. This means the masses can afford many things..

In nigeria, the masses are left to be poor and u expect them to bear heavy burden of tax? u can imagine a country where more than 50% of her fresh graduate earn below 50k naira :O That is terrible. A country where people still earn 5k naira per month and work for 12 hours per day :O U expect the people to pay high electricity tariff fee, education fee, not possible.. The leaders must begin to cut down on their outrageous pays. Also, elections need to be strictly on free and fair in order to reduce the amount of money candidates spend to win election.

The problem is not the masses but the ruling class.

Bros, kai, nawa for you o.

A question for you

how can you tell if the woman is truly remorseful and regrets her actions and not just trying to stay in the marriage for now.

u need a much more deeper understanding of the true nature of a woman.

u said the woman could ve ran away with the guy and abandoned her marriage. That she stayed bcoz she still loves her hussy.

going by the husband's narration this is not likely to be true since he said the man in question is already married with kids and may be unwilling to abscond with her. And Frm the tone of conversation between the cheating woman and her boyfriend, it seems the boyfriend is even the reluctant party in the affair. More devastating is the fact that the woman was clearly begging for his attention.

2ndly, The hussy caught her red handed. Not like she went to confess her actions. So how can you tell if she's no longer still interested in the affair ?

These are the factors he needs to consider before he can forget and put everything behind him.

If a woman is in love with you then you will always ve an advantage whether she's married or not. And the hussy even said she's been exhibiting an indifferent disposition for sexxxx with him lately. And this is a testament to the fact that a good part of her might no longer be with him.

bros, u sound intelligent to me but plz don't be naive.

Brotherly, I must confess that this can be hurtful. I always say this that men feel more hurt when their partner cheat on them. This statement can not go down well with people who wants to equate everything in gender. This is all about mindset.

I know how hurt u feel now. But since she has been remorseful, try and forgive her. She has been crying and kelt down to beg u. This means she has not lost her love for u. Some would av moved out and ran away with their cheating partner. ur wife has shown that she can repent..

Here are what you can do:

forgive her.. not easy but with time, u would forgive.

Trust will die.. yes, I know, but with time, u would trust her again.

Thirdly, u need to make her comfortable and beliv u av forgiven her very well, take her out and let her open up to u on why she started such cheating act.. Let her tell u the truth. the reason for the cheating is more important here, this would be useful for both of u to prevent the issue from repeating again.

It could be an old friend she had chemistry with.. She should also open up on weda they av been seeing each other while she was in Nigeria. Becus for trust to start again, every atom of doubt and suspicion and hear-say must be cleared first.

When all these are sorted out, both of u should take a trip to another city for few nights and Bleep each other well..

finally, warn her and let her know that from the moment, u wouldnt allow her use her own password, etc. She should also improve on her sex life with u. Everything will be fine.. though u will never forget this act. That is the simple truth.

Caf Champions League and confederations cup needs serious restructuring. I don't buy the idea of having a two legged final. It should be a single match
The problem with you guys is that u all want European style of everything without considering many things..

Number one, Africa is not Europe bro.. Africans are still poor.. Many Africans can't travel from one country to another, lodge in a hotel and buy tickets to go watch matches in a neutral venue. Europeans have this well.

Secondly, African clubs don't have large fan bases outside their home country. U can imagine Ahly vs Wydad Casablanca final match in Nigeria, how many Nigerians would come out to watch it?

African countries are geographically far from one another.. How people are willing to travel from Egypt to Nigeria to watch their club play matches?

Transportation is poor across Africa.

These things made one leg final impossible for now until African countries develop in standard of living and infrastructure. CAF tried the one leg final of a thing but didn't succeed. Matches were played in an empty stadium.

I can only suggest that they play super cup in a neutral venue to test cities in Africa with better crowd attendance. That is the best thing for now.

Exactly.. U are absolutely correct bro. Unfortunately, Nigerians are divided when it comes to what should work or not. I believe in a regional system of govt.. I believe the feeding bottle system we run doesn't allow states to be at their best..

The federal govt should just control the security and leave the states to run their resources and pay loyalties to central govt.

But Nigerians will never shut down the country.. In fact, hungry Nigerians defend politicians..

Correct. Couldn't agree more. But unfortunately, the duty to correct the bad system of election/govt cannot be left exclusively to the govt. The govt cannot even be leader in this case. @bolded for anyone who destroy infrastructure or those sympathetic to d struggle of those doing it

Dey hav no moral right to blame d Government for not providing such infrastructure

For 17 years think of d damage militancy has caused

How do u want investors to finance project wen dey know it will be blow out

Dats y d west is gaining d benefits

South south should stop destruction of public infrastructure u can't destroy it and blame government for not providing it

It doesn't make sense

Look at how boko haram destroy North east
School, hospital public assets, tomorrow same people will blame government for not providing school in d north

Ojukwu with biafra civil war infrastructure built was destroyed yet we Blame government for not building

Wen dey build we destroy and turn back to blame government for not building

We should learn ti protect wat government has built and not to destroy dem wen we feel aggrieved
Guy, nigerian govt has not been sincere.. It is known globally.

Bro, if the govt performs, people will not have time.. No educated youth will go and blow him self up for boko haram. The govt has failed to raise the people and they are now easily used to cause trouble..

Bro, from pry to secondary to uni, the educational system is poor and we keep producing qacks as citizens..

No job and hunger is real, these things make people available for destructions..

Ur brodas going up and down blowing up pipeline to refinery and power plant for d past 17 years has no hand in it abi

If not for d unrest in niger delta u think our refinery won't be work to maximum

U think power generation will not have increased

U sabotage every effort of government, yet u come later and cry as a victim

Let Avengers start now all of u will hail dem

Tomorrow u will be d ones to cry no fuel no light

Olodo
Who dey hell are u to insult me? Do u think I'm one of those yeye Nigerians who make sentimental comments here?

Look, the job of the govt is to protect the citizens and structures..

People had reasons for blowing up pipelines.. Many policies in nigeria is wack.

Since oil is the bane of nigeria economy, it would av been nice if Nigeria has a federal capital in one of the south south states.. This will enable huge money invested in the region and attract direct investments..

Look, nigeria is playing politics of hate and lies.. South south deserves a federal capital city. South south and not Lagos should have become the city of business in nigeria.. It can be done with the right policies.. But nigeria is playing dirty.. That is why boys are angry and hungry.

And wen Efcc arrest any culprit u people will say it is witch-hunting
Who says it is? Don't generalize stuff here.. I am not one of those pro GEJ or pro anybody.. Bleep all our politicians.. They have failed, including Buhari.

What someone like me is saying, is that arrest and try any suspect, including Buhari right hand men and women..

No one protects a criminal.. Look at Orji Uzor, the ex Abia leader, he joined APC and since then, he became a saint.

Look Saraki, the Senate president, he is also a saint.. Look at OBJ, he is also a saint..

Come-on, this is annoying.. As long as nigeria still do trial by selection and sentiments, we will not make progress in the fight against corruption..

The government did not fall from the sky.

They are a good representation of the society from which they came.

Being unimaginative, badly educated, criminally minded is because the people they represent are actually so in character.
Bros, everyone in nigeria is not bad.. But due to bad system of govt, elections are fraudulent..

I av heard this line u used over and over again, the duty of govt is to fix the bad orientation.. That is why they are paid from our sweats..

The electoral system does not give people with credible policies to win elections..

Federal character is evil.. It is satanic to development..

Our local govt structure is bad... It is fraudulent.. We have so many policies and structures that encourage people to be bad when in power..

Just like Obama said, "Africa does not lack human beings to steer the region to development, but the region lacks credible institutions"

Our problem is not that Nigerians are so bad but the instituons are weak. The govt has continually creepled the institutions with bias policies and ethnic sentiments..

Some of you are way too emotional to entertain rational thinking.

The oil of the ND can only make people of the ND enjoy a better living when the elite of the ND decide to the need for an egalitarian society. I don't see that happening any time soon.

Poverty stems from industry or a lack therein.

Industry is not a large expanse of land with a production line but the inherent ability and opportunity to create, innovate and promote. This is severely lacking in the Nigerian.

Most young Nigerians are waiting for government to give jobs whilst the few that have created jobs on their own are smiling to the bank - think Wizkid, Aki and Pawpaw, Seun Osewa, etc.

Poverty is a state of mind in which development simply cannot be imagined.
Only a liar defend the govt. Stable electricity has nothing to do with state of the mind.. It is the duty of the govt to do so..

National assembly collecting high allowances and salaries has nothing to do with state of the mind of the average Nigerian.

Bad roads has nothing to do with state of the minds

Industrialization has nothing to do with the state of the mind..

High quality education from pry to university has nothing to do with state of mind..

During govt jobs, politucians hijack slots and give such slots to their loyalties has nothing to do with state of mind of the average Nigerians.

Minimum wage is 18k while things are so expensive has nothing to do with state of mind.

Nigeria producing oil but still buys refined oil abroad and sell at an expensive rate to her citizens while govt uses free fuel has nothing to do with state of mind.

My brother, I can list on.. The govt must be responsible first before the spirit can be transfered to the masses..

Nigerians are so hard working.. Many citizens can't tolerate what we tolerate here..
Some citizens of many countries will go mad if they don't av power supply for five days.. That is what Nigerians face daily..

These things are basic things govt was elected to fix. When fixed, the average citizens can work harder and get paid..

A guy I know in Ibadan had to close down his shop that was making between 500k to 750k monthly (profit and capital together) due to poor power supply and other inconveniences..

Blaming Nigerian youths is not fair. Nigerian youths dey hustle abeg.

Let's cut these SARS guys some slack.....some of them leave home hoping to return home safely at the end of the day.

These guys face killers day in day out, they act strong but deep within them is a kind of fear you can hardly notice....they sometimes stumble on the innocent out of fear of the unknown.

In NIgeria, you must threaten a culprit to make them obey....only if you knew!

Hungry thieves everywhere, you can't drive safely along Oshodi....Carter bridge....Apapa road....they are everywhere...if you fall victim to this thieves you no go dey harass SARS
Yes o.. I av never had problem with any security outfit before.. including sars. U see, naija is dangerous.. Yahoo boys are also criminals. Worse is that yahoo yahoo has taken over the country..

Lets not pretend like we dont know. Many very wealthy guys are into this act.. and many upcoming ones are into it. My gf was telling me how yahoo boys full a state in south south. They are always relocating from one village to another.. Most of them are still upcoming yahoo boys.

They are thieves just like the everyday criminal who robs with guns and knives..

Also, many Nigerians dont respect security men.. Many just want to escape and many feels u can easily bribe ur way. Well, not all security officer can be bought.

some of them kidnap others for ritual to enable their yahoo business to sell well. An ex gf was kidnapped few weeks ago.. she said she believed they were doing so for yahoo boys based on their conversations but she escaped.

I dont easily judge pictures like this online until I hear the physical story. I know we Nigerians.. we get wahala. I am not supporting SARS but we shouldnt simply feel that everything is the fault of SARS officers.
