mama-gee:A woman is justified in leaving a husband who cheats on her. If she decides to say, for whatever reason, then she should still submit to him, as long as he remains her husband. Like the foregoing statement, she can leave if she is being cheated on, but if she chooses to stay and remain the wife of a cheater, she needs to submit to him, because he is still her husband. |
sexyLeamon:Maybe you are hanging around your men who are your grandfather's age. How many young Naija men do you know who have pot bellies? Let's use Nollywood as an example. Just about all the actresses, young and old, have flat asses. Now you tell me how many young Nollywood actors have bot bellies? You are making assertions without any evidence to support it. |
The city has filed a federal lawsuit in Manhattan against the Nigerian government, claiming that the African nation failed to pay real estate taxes, officials announced today. The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court, claims that the Nigerian government failed to pay taxes for commercial offices and other non-tax exempt spaces in the 22-story building it owns at 828 Second Avenue in Manhattan. The exact amount is not known because of the refusal of the Nigerian government to supply the city with documentation. As a result, the city is seeking between $4.1 million and upward of $16 million in unpaid taxes, other charges and interest from Nigeria, city officials said. The city provides a tax exemption to all foreign governments for their United Nations Mission and their consulates, officials said. The building -- known as “Nigeria House” -- is used partially for tax-exempt purposes, including as offices for the Nigerian Consulate and the Nigerian Mission to the UN. In 2003, the city brought lawsuits seeking unpaid real estate taxes on commercial facilities and staff housing against four countries: Turkey, the Philippines, India and Mongolia. The suits against Turkey and the Philippines were settled. The lawsuits against India and Mongolia reached the US Supreme Court on the issue of the countries’ immunity from suit. The Supreme Court later held that the countries were not immune. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/exclusive_city_to_sue_nigeria_over_HX5UW09kqPGnSD2vW3TxnL |

sexyLeamon:Where did you conduct your research? The poster is talking about shape. You are talking about "better looking." The poster has a point. Just think of all the Nigerian parties, functions, churches, and gatherings you have ever attended and think of how many Naija girls have a nice shape--backside, hips, and thick shapely thighs--and I bet just a paltry number of Naija girls have that shape. We are not even talking about the face, because that is another matter. Kai, Naija men don suffer. Even if you look at all the so called Nollywood actresses that are supposedly beautiful, majority of them are walking around with a flat behind. |
Sagamite:You need help. Do you have to be a doctor to identify the fitness level of someone? It was obvious majority of the players could not run for 90 mins, and you are here running your mouth about being a team doctor to determine fitness. I guess you and Amodu have the same IQ and need a team doctor to tell you guys when someone is fit. As for others with a higher IQ, they don't need a doctor to tell them. All they have to do is watch how they run and play for 90 mins to determine their fitness level. Didn't you see how the U -17 boys chased the ball for 90 mins? Amodu himself has now conceded that certain players are not fit. Fitness means stamina, since you don't know. Yusuf Mohammed, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, and Taye Taiwo are among the legions of players who are unfit and out of form. Your so called Amodu picked his team before the players demonstrated on the pitch their fitness level. What kind of rubbish is that? And you are still here supporting the same coach that is foolish enough to pick out of form players. That is why Nigeria has problems--people like you. Instead of admitting you erred and fire the coach and hire a capable coach, you are still defending that inept coach called Amodu. When he now takes us to the world cup and he and his team perform woefully, you will start complaining. Why not fix the problem ahead of time? |
Sagamite, are you a malo? Because your support for Amodu, when Amodu clearly has shown that he cannot pick players based on their current fitness level, makes no sense. How can a coach pick unfit, injured players for an international tournament? That is a stupid coach. |
They think he's not Nigerian and shy away from him. In other words, the handsome boy intimidates them. |
From the comments of some girls on this thread, all I can say is na waa. If a guy walks away when Naija girls say no, many, if not most, Naija girls will be single, because "No" means "Yes" for many Naija girls, and many guys have evolved to being persistent even when a Naija girl tells them "No," because in their minds, "No" means "Yes." And if the guy walks away immediately the girl says "No," it is these same girls who will accuse the guy of not being persistent and weak, and that he surrenders easily. If the guy now tries not to give up easily and is being persistent, some of you girls will label him perverted and seize that opportunity to insult him. And mind you, some girls will rain insults on a guy in whom they are interested. The problem now is that when Naija girls play hard to get and say "No" to guys in whom they are interested, and these same girls say the same "No" to guys in whom they are not interested, how is the approaching guy supposed to know when he is being truly rebuffed when a girl tells him "No?" And why don't you just ignore a guy who pesters you rather than rain insult him when he toasts you? That seems like a civilized and mature way of responding to a toaster who is a pester. The confusion continues. |
r231:With your bias, unsupported statements, it is evident you are Ghanaian, and your statements have overtones of envy. Please adduce some credible evidence to support your jagbajantis (those of you who know this word know what i'am talking about) assertions. If Ghollygold is supposedly that successful, why do all your Ghanaian actors run to Nollywood just to make a buck. Moreso, it should be a shame on your Ghollygold industry if you have to pay to feature a Ghanaian actor. Who else but Ghanains will pay producers just to have their actors featured in their movies. Shouldn't it be the other way around. You have posted a story based on your imagination and delusion, like people on this website are some idiots. Show some mutha f'ing evidence. Sharap, Abeg. |
THE AMAKA:I concur. Their music are also fake. They try a little too hard to be westernized, not knowing that identity and fidelity to one's culture inherently reflects in the movies they make, which will help sell the movies. I have tried but can't really watch Ghanaian movies. It is reminiscent of someone with a thick village accent trying to speak with a foreign, say, American accent. |
Can people reason here? The Nigerian movie industry benefits when Ghanaian actors play in Nollywood movies, particularly when Ghanaian producers pay Nollywood producers to feature Ghanaian actors in Nollywood movies. The following reasons support my theory. First, in addition to monetary benefits, that is when Ghanaian distributors supposedly pay Nollywood producers N1 million to feature Ghanaian actors, featuring Ghanaian actors exposes Nollywood movies to an entirely new market; it shows that the Nigerian movie industry is bigger than the Ghanaian movie industry, for their actors have to depend on our industry and "pay to play" in order to be featured in the Nigerian industry; the Nollywood brand still supplants the Ghanaian brand in such movies, since the film features more Nollywood actors than Ghanaian actors; and many more. @poster: You may want to adduce some credible evidence in support of your statement that Ghollygold movies are outselling Nollywood movies in the USA. It sounds highly improbable that Ghollygold movies are outselling Nollywood movies, particularly when Ghanaian actors are barely known compared to their Nollywood counterparts and Nigerians substantially outnumber Ghanaians, both in the USA and Africa. My only problem is that Nigerian producers are not exercising prudently their leverage against these so called Ghanaian producers. If your product is in high demand, you don't have to succumb to the demands of some Ghanaian distributor--paying you N1 million and instructing you to use Ghanaian actors-- as a precondition to marketing your products. But, again, maybe that is standard industry practice and the Ghanaian distributor may have customers who only buy movies that feature Ghanaian actors, and the Ghanaian producers are doing merely what they have to do . Overall, I don't think the practice poses any harm to the Nollywood industry, since featuring certain actors is a marketing strategy of which it is to reach the fans of that actor, which, as in here, would be fans who mostly watch movies that feature Ghanaian actors. |
Come on guys, let's make this a civil discussion. There is nothing wrong in attempting to phuck a girl on the first date, as long as he attempted to phuck her in a decent way. With regards to how the chick behaved, I don't think such behavior is restricted to Naija girls. It is very common among African girls, as well as UK and Yankee girls. |
Ibime:They don't need a Drogba. Soccer is a team effort, and all you need is a group of people who are fit and ready to fight for a win. The main problem with the present squad is lack of fitness. For example, the reason the U 17 was successful was because of their high level of fitness. I mean, those guys were insanely fit and would chase their opponent any time the opponent had possession (and they did it for 90 mins). Today's team waited for the ball numerous times and did not run after the Egyptians for 90 mins when the Egyptians took possession of the ball. |
Those players are not fit. They could not chase the ball and players. Yobo is recovering from injury, Martins just had surgery, and many more unfit players. Amodu chose the team because he likes the players and is used to them, not because they have shown any demonstrable proof of match fitness. The funny thing is that you guys will see Amodu take these same players to the world Cup and expect a "miracle." As a matter of fact, if he had taken six players from the U 17 squad, they would have done a better job than the team today. The players are simply out of shape. |
what does Sagamite know about coaching ability? Nothing. How can anyone say Amodu has tactical ability? |
no1madman:Thank you. I have been saying this for long--Stanley Okoro has pace, is rugged, has a winning attitude, and should have been invited. When I said this earlier, people mocked me and said that why would you invite someone from the U-17 team? |
bottom line, Amodu is a fool and an idiot; he can't make up his mind. How do you expect to win when you choose your players, many of whom are not fit, before camp. |
Papa Kanu is in the game. God will save us |
kabna:you see what i'm saying? SE defenders stare at Egyptian strikers instead of marking them |
kabna:Is the winning team determined by possession percentage? |
Why is this Yusuf Muhammed on the team? |
Yakubu could not even chase that ball that came from Mikel. Out of shape |
thanks Bawomolo. Super Eagles. Nna, why our boiz dey phuck up now. Dis kind cheap goals don tire me. Defense don tire |
WTF Did I miss something? How did they score? |
excellent defending by Yobo. |
And it is this same Obasi who Amodu initially left out of his squad. The fitness of the players worries me a lot. |
oyinda.:No, not one of those guys who talks to every girl at every girl at a location. But, on a rare occasion, you may find a girl in whom you are interested at some location. My statement was in response to stillwater's statement; she insinuated that she talked to guys who come as a friend. So I was saying that how can the guy come as a friend if he meets a girl in whom he is interested at, for example, a supermarket or a library or a coffee shop. Bottom line is that you see a chick, not necessarily every chick as you suggested, in whom you are interested, and you approach her respectfully. If she likes you, she responds accordingly; if she does not, she turns you down respectfully or ignores you, whichever is convenient for her. Raining verbal insults, with respect to this particular circumstance, is utterly unnecessary and childish. |

have you ever watched their "royal" movies?? ARG!!! it seems so damn fake!! i dont understand this cause ghana has culture to work with to make their movies more realistic. is it just me or does everything seem like some fake movie ripped out of a wanna be "Coming To America" or something. or is that how their culture works? too fake, they're crap.
