Adakintroy: How do I say this now. First of all women liberation did not help africa. This ideal originated as a boast for capitalism. To encourage more labour in the area since men alone were not able to shoulder the workload. It can be indirectly trace to industrialization.
Africa had no need for that. To me our society was balance as it was with men leading the charge.Men were doing the Labour..we were not fully charged as fAR as industralization goes. We had no need for the extra hands. Whatever we t earns naturally trickles down to the women. In marriage and raising of family. However with women liberation came an opposing view. A direct affront on the position of men. Lliberators oriented women was misleading from the gate out. They fail to see us as pairs. Rather we were judged as isolated entity each striving for his or her own supremacy. It was a trap that women fell for. And the leading reason for their single statuse.. When a man earns, he get married and start a family. So a woman indirectly benefits.
However when a woman earns she rerains for herself and hopes to find a earning man. This is just wrong for balance and that's putting it nicely. You only need to flip it to understand this position.
A man who is working can marry a woman who is not working and start a family base on his earning. But a woman who is working cannot or would naturally find it difficult to marry a jobless man.
Now in a rational society were we understand that government is struggling to create jobs, women liberation has already pitch us against ourselves in a unfair way. Whatever liberated women in some ways, seem to have put them in a new bond age in another.
The baby mama trend is not a gimmick it will persist as far as rational calculation goes. If 50 jobs are available, and the sharing fomular goes 30-20. Already..20 men are without jobs so technically 20 women are having their marriages delayed.
We need to unlearn whatever we have learned and position it at a right angle so for the right healing to take place in our society other wise let kiss family institution goodbye. Too much sense. This is exactly what ive been saying for a very long time before the consequences even became as glaring as it is today. You aptly butressed and captured it very well. They copy, nay half and mis-copy whites to their detriment without copying fully. A white lady wouldnt mind empowering and marrying a broke ass man from a third world country if she finds him attractive and emotional compactible with her but more often than not, the average empowered Nigerian babe would not go near their fellow blacks if he is not atleast at par with her financially when she is in her prime unless age is no longer on her side. They do not know, so neither are they ready, for the responsibilities towards relationship, marriage and society that come with the rights they crave to wrest from men. Infact, If i no give you Henieken today i no go happy. Now following you for you are a Sabinus. |

Why not based on equality which feminists preach? But then the more men are empowered the more they look for and enpower un-empowered ladies but now women are getting empowered but instead of looking for men they can empower, they look for even bigger men to "empower" them more so men now have to do the needful to complement the selfishness of enpowered women this days. How they love feminism but cry when its fully implemented with all the role swaping it encourages. |

ozoneymcm: You have to understand that though Christianity was introduced to Africa, there is now what I'd term as the African way of practicing Christianity. The things you see in Nigerian churches today, you wouldn't see it in London or Chicago. Not to say too much, Christianity or even Islam is now part of African culture Thats the thing; Africans half-copy then bastardize western culture with their uncivilized minds. If you advocate strictly sticking to African culture then no white marriage. If its to copy then it should be copied well (not copy only what but also how and how-not) as is practised and as the op showed. Just like feminisn and democracy . Copy a western culture correctly along with what makes the concept worthwhile-(the how and how not) or stick to the African culture, simple. All these half, mis-copy is not doing Africa any good. |

itsmeurLady: Falsehood? See young Man first, I am a child Of God and I don't see things the way people of the world see it cs that's what my Lord has instructed me to do and I will do it. I don't live my life the way everybody else lives it, I guess that why I am having exceptional results in everything that I do and it's okay if you cannot comprehend where I stand because even the same bible told me that the things of the word are spiritually discerned and it's like foolishness unto mere man , they can never comprehend neither can they understand. The scripture has already told me that people will look at me as though I am insane but it gladly shows I am on the right path.
Secondly, did you read her post? Did you see anywhere where she typed she does not respect her husband ? She didn't say or state that, you can go and re-read again. The young man was just quoting out of context. Do Have a nice day! She wrote: "If my husband decides to be snatched,no problem . I earn enough to cater for my children,no fear here" This is the subtly arrogant kind of statement the "low socioeconomic ladies" dont bleat off at the slightest whim. And does not represent value for the man. Trying to correct her negative (no1 point below) and flawed (no 2 point below) orientation that 1) men only seek less fortunate ladies so as to oppress them instead lots of men go to them cos they feel their financial capacity (the mans) can be meaningful and positively impactful (Yes POSITIVE!) and so appreciable (yes men love to have more appreciating than standoffish spouse and no apologies for that) to them (the lady)2) that men fear empowered ones instead that the quick arrogant exuberances and high propensity to unnecessary contentiousness of educated/empowered ones is a huge turn-off (not fear) to many men. 3) To let her know that her ability to read ABCD and solve 1+1 does not make her an elite if she lacks awareness and grasp of reality because the late is what schooling and education was meant to inculcate in her. And to point out and correct those wrong outlook is not being negative in anyway just because she said some other nice stuff. This is the crux of the entire matter and i wonder how you managed to get it all warped. |

Even during the wedding reception, amala, pounded yam, fresh fish etc will be included. That is what we are talking abbout I mean, you advocate Africans should stick to their culture so why church wedding at all based on your logic ? |

So know when to balance it. Even if she won't do anything just let her be close to you (that's the fun of a relationship) You chop onions i fry the meat The slice the plantain, I fry it You sweep, i mop (or the reverse ) Make the bed, I scatter it (Shebi you like work) You wash the clothes, i hang them Even if you don't want her to work, always involve her, make her feel her presence around is necessary. Even if you fry thr meat and she start eating (all na work). This is the time you guys bond, rare moments money can never buy, and fun time that involves no cash but filled with happiness, smiling face and love...

E.g Fix a very long fat thing on your dick, go to her office and flash her the fake extra larger than life dick. Or better still, march into to her office late after work with a black substance in a feathered red bottle, roll out your tool and start applying the messy red and black (maybe grinding water melon + black hair cream) on it while she sees you then proced to tell her your private native gave you those to always apply before doing a woman so she can enjoy it. Then watch her take off and leave you in peace forever she will be the one to even change office not you runing..lol.. Dont even thank me later. #Becreative. |

itsmeurLady: I am a woman of God, we don't see things the way the world sees them. There is no message for me to take there as long as it is negative. I only listen to positive messages so that only positive vibes can flow out of me. I don't say words just for saying sake, I say words to inspire, build and encourage... So if your words do not do any of that to me, I do not take it. We all have choices in life, and this is one of the choices I have made in my life. Good but then describing a negative state, the very negative state created by your fellow female folks with befiting adjectives, examples and scenerios for easier and cearer understanding so a reality-check and necesary correction can be induced and made does not imply that someone is a negative. Just like a mechanic telling you that your brakes are in bad shape hence an accident is likely with the car is not a negative person. The stick can be very useful and important for corrections which are as worthwhile as inspiration, romancing, encouragment etc. Some time we lay bare and bring down the bad to build the good. A time to this a time to that...If you want to know, you know. Btw, have i told you i like you before so i dont repeat myself? |
