Reports reaching Igbere Tv says the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared 'war' on the students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) as the university is known for its high rate of cyber crimes.


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman, Ibrahim Magu, at a meeting held on Thursday, February 7 stated that the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) students cases of cybercrime is different and there are special plans that are already set aside for the students in the school.


Stating further, Ibrahim Magu said; "Due to this fact, I will want them (the students who are into cyber crimes in the school) to get themselves ready as the EFCC officials will start action concerning the institution any moment from now," Igbere Tv reports.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Onnoghen has filed a law suit against the federal government over his suspension, Igbere Tv reports.

Igbere Tv learnt that the suit was filed by his lawyers, Adegboyega Awomolo, James Onoja, Kanu Agabi and Wole Olanipekun.

Recall that the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen was suspended by the Federal Government last Friday January 25th on the order of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

Justice Walter Onnoghen who assumed office as the 17th Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), in March 2017, has been accused of not declaring all his assets two years after being in office.

Reports reaching Igbere Tv says, the House of Representative has approved N30,000 as the new minimum wage for workers in the country.


The lawmakers passed the bill during Tuesday’s (today) plenary presided over by Yakubu Dogara, the Speaker of the House. They approved the figure after the bill was read and passed for the third time on the floor of the lower chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja.


Prior to the passage of the bill, the House adopted the report of the ad-hoc committee set up to look into the bill presented to the National Assembly by President Buhari. It said it decided to adopt the report of the tripartite committee because of the obvious difficult living conditions in the country.


The lawmakers inserted a clause in the bill which makes it effective from the date it is asserted to by the President. They, however, retained the original clause in the bill which excluded employers of less than 25 people from paying the new minimum wage.


In the face of the recent development, the bill would be sent to the Senate for concurrence. Earlier, the lawmakers concluded debate on the 2019 Appropriation Bill, as well as read and passed it through the second reading.


They consequently referred the bill to the House Appropriations Committee and other related sub-committees for further actions. The House then adjourned plenary till February 19, after the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

A patient was, on Friday, caught stealing at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi.

The suspect was on admission at the burns ward as a result of wounds sustained after his brother burnt him for stealing, IgbereTv report.


He was said to be trying to steal through a window at ward 5A of the hospital, when one Maggie Jere alerted the security guards.


Upon their arrival, they found him with two phones and the sum of K2,300 which he had already stolen. He has since been whisked to the Blantyre police station.

A 10-year-old South African boy, Sibahle Zwane’s mesmerising exploits have gone viral on social media.
Zwane has the amazing ability to answer complex arithmetic questions faster than a calculator and in seconds.


According to what IgbereTv newsmen learnt, he shot into prominence when he was filmed answering complex math questions from a local policeman in South Africa, in 2018.


He also lived up to the hype when he was featured in a quick video on BBC recently.


The young lad, who has amazed South Africans with his stunning talent at math is simply looking to make some cash on the side.


According to reports gathered by IgbereTv, the Grade 4 pupil charges just R2 for every correct answer he provides.


His mom, Mbali Zwane, said he makes up to R200 a day.


Ms Zwane, a 28-year-old, single and unemployed mother of two, says his gift was first picked up when he was in grade two. She said his teachers told her he had a unique ability with numbers.


She has applied for scholarships to take him to an institution where his talent can be developed.


Sibahle, who aspires to be a pilot when he grows up, said he can’t really explain how he manages to make complex calculations in his head.


“I just see the numbers in my head. I like numbers more than anything else. In the meantime, he’s making good money from strangers who are blown away by his talent, proving that he has a good business sense as well,” he said.


His mum said that he is generally less focused on other subjects and often gets lazy doing them, but not with numbers.

Report reaching IgbereTv has it that armed soldiers on Sunday invaded Daily Trust regional office in Maiduguri, Borno state and arrested the regional editor, Uthman Abubakar and a reporter, Ibrahim Sawab.

IgbereTv is not sure why this happened but it may be connected with the lead story of Daily Trust on Sunday on military operation in the North East.

IgbereTv also learnt that the soldiers shut the gate of the Maiduguri regional office, after arresting the two editorial staff on sight at the time of the raid.

It’s been a while we heard from Davido’s girlfriend, Chioma.. and IgbereTv then took a stroll down her Instagram page, to catch up and know what’s happening in her life.. and Alas!!! Her page was no where to be found. Thus the speculations.

Chioma is a very private person.. She was kept hidden for a while until Davido made her public after he dedicated a song, “Assurance” to her, and even bought her a brand new porsche.

Ever since then, Chioma has been exposed to the Social media world, and we saw more of her on Social media.. Her Instagram page even skyrocketed with thousands of new followers following her account. She even nabbed a multi-million endorsement for a cooking show.

However, surprisingly, as at the time of filing this report, Chioma is no where to be found on Instagram. Her verified Instagram account, with the handle, @thechefchi is deleted off Instagram. It returns the error, “Content Unavailable”, this is a general error for “Deactivated accounts” or “Accounts that has been deleted by Instagram themselves”.

Now, lets take you back a bit;
Recall, On Christmas Day, Chioma revealed via her Insta story, that it was her worst day ever… But her boyfriend, Davido, partied hard in Owerri.

The couple, reunited for his Lagos concert on the 27th of December when he brought her up on stage during his performance.

Again, not too long, Davido took to his page to hail his two baby mamas, Amanda and Sophia, for coming together to form some sort of friendship, all for the sake of their kids.

Shortly after that post, IgbereTv noticed that Chioma’s account had disappeared;

Meanwhile, there has been no sign of her on Davido’s pages either as he celebrated New Year’s Day in Uganda and didn’t take her along as he usually does.

There have been many theories as to why it was deleted. Some say she must have fallen out with Davido and decided to go offline, others say maybe a scandal is brewing and she has decided to save herself the embarrassment by going away.

Delectable Nollywood Actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde via her “Give and Let Give” Initiative has touched the lives of so many widows and orphans.

The actress towards the end of 2018, helped renovate the home of a widow in just four days.

According to reports gathered by IgbereTv, twidow, Folashade Chijioke, was nominated after many entries via emails by another widow.


Some of the criteria for selection were that the widow being nominated must be a working woman, giving back to the community and raising her kids.
Folashade’s home was given a face life with new furniture, a new paint job, bathroom fittings, an upgraded kitchen, bunk beds, cozy mattresses, a TV, fridge, and gas cooker, IgbereTv reports.

A former nun who left the convent and became a mother-of-two is set to make her debut as a professional adult film star.

Yudy Pineda, 28, has signed a multi-scene deal with Miami-based BangBros, one of the biggest porn studios in the US, to feature in a convent themed scene.

The Colombian-born porn star, who spent eight years training to become a nun, decided to quit the convent after 8 years when she fell in love with a man who was working at the nunnery as a catechism instructor.

Now BangBros executive producer Cullen McRae says the studio ‘couldn’t be more proud’ of signing Pineda for her debut which features Pineda in a nun habit and will be released on January 13.

McRae told AVN:
"Her beauty, her raw sexuality and her desire to share that with her fans is something that we knew was extremely special."

Her first scene with us showcases not only her passion and sexuality but also her faith, as we collaborated with her to come up with a convent-based theme. We have no doubt these scenes will make her a household name.

She recalled in an interview with Colombian outlet Caracol Radio:
"I talked to the sister and told her that it was not right what I was doing, I had fallen in love, and I left the convent."

Pineda then moved to Medellin and later found a job with the Nestle company as a vendor. There, a co-worker repeatedly approached her about giving the erotic webcam business a go.

A woman is currently at large after hacking her husband to death with an axe during dispute over Christmas gift, IgbereTv News reports.

Homicide detectives in Mutare are looking for the woman from Chikanga in Mutare, Zimbabwe, who disappeared soon after axing her husband to death following a domestic dispute on December 24.



Anesu Mafokosho is alleged to have axed Vitalis Mudhumo, 26, at around 3pm soon after the couple returned home from the city centre where they had gone shopping. The dispute which ended in the death of the husband was sparked by gifts which the couple had bought for their child for Christmas.


According to reports gathered by IgbereTv News, the couple's union was experiencing some problems and the unresolved marital dispute was threatening their marriage.

On December 24 the Vitalis met his wife Anesu at the Stop Sign in Chikanga 2. The two drove to Edgars Mutare where they bought their three-year-old daughter’s clothes. After shopping, the deceased and his wife went back home. On getting home, Anesu's younger sister, who was in the dinning room, heard the couple arguing outside the yard for about 45 minutes.

Moments later they got into the house and entered into their bedroom. In the bedroom, Vitalis started packing his clothes saying he was moving out. His wife begged him to change his mind to no avail.

The situation degenerated into chaos resulting in the wife axing the deceased three time on the neck.

Soon after committing the offence, Mafokosho fled home and sent a text message to her sister telling her to go see what she had done in the bedroom.

On getting into the room, the younger sister found Vitalis bleeding and convulsing on the bed.


Manicaland police spokesman Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakohwa said Mudhumo’s body was taken to Mutare Provincial Hospital for post mortem.

The accused is still at large and investigations are in progress.

A bride has threatened to un-invite her wedding guests after they failed to give her cash as an engagement gift.

The bride-to-be took to social media platform, Reddit, to rant and make threats. The unnamed woman said that she had been clear in asking for cash rather than gifts at her engagement party, and was pretty irritated when people turned up with ‘small gifts that serve no purpose’.

The bride said that out of anger, she sent a message to guests to ask why she hadn’t been given the cash she’d asked for.

She wrote:
I specified on the invitation that we were requesting cash only in lieu of gifts.

We have a mountain of debt and would like to start our marriage with a fresh slate and figured this would be a great opportunity to do so.

Well the party was last night and not one person brought us cash.

They all brought small gifts that serve no purpose to us and it was hard for me to mask my irritation.
We invited upwards of thirty people, most of which showed up and all we got out of it were some household items that we already have.

The bride said she ended up going to bed early out of anger. The next day, she sent a message to her friends.
I sent out a mass text basically asking guests I was close with where the miscommunication happened in our gift requests.

I didn’t get many responses, but the responses I did get were pretty rude – which was shocking to me.
I have been dreaming of my wedding my entire life and you would think friends and loved ones would want to help in making it perfect.

I am thinking of dis-inviting those that responded rudely to me, but also I could give them another chance.

We will be requesting cash as well and I have already sent out an email reiterating that cash is expected and not gifts and any gifts will be returned for cash or sold on ebay.

A young Nigerian man identified as Adejoh Noah passed away on December 6, a day after sending out his wedding invites to friends.

Late Adejoh and his fiance Jemila Muhammed were set to wed on December 28, 2018, in Ankpa, Kogi State. May his soul rest in Peace.

Meanwhile Adejoh's friends took to Facebook to mourn him.

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has designated January 8th 2019 for the mother of all protest to demand a new minimum wage.

The labour unions reached this agreement after a national executive council meeting which held in Abuja yesterday December 21st.

Recall that the labour unions and the government, both state and Federal, have been at loggerheads. The union is demanding that the wage be increased to N30, 000 but the state government insist they can afford N22,500.
NLC says the January 8th protest would be to express anger and dissatisfaction.


“The protest is to express anger and total dissatisfaction over the delay by the federal government in transmitting, enacting and implementing the new national minimum wage of N30,000. The NEC-in-Session approved that the protests should hold in all state capitals and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja on January 8, 2019. The NEC mandates all industrial unions and state councils to fully mobilise workers and coordinate with other labour unions for this mother-of-all protest.” he said
