A policeman set himself on fire, after hacking his wife’s phone and allegedly discovering she had three lovers.

According to reports gathered by IgbereTv News, the Zimbabwean police officer identified as Tinashe Jala worked in the Information and Communication department of the police before his death and had discovered his wife, Sibongile Shana’s affairs with three other men, after he cloned her WhatsApp account using WhatsApp Web.

A source revealed that the young couple were living happily until they had a misunderstanding, where they involved their relatives.

The source said that Jala had committed suicide after seeing his wife off to the bus stop. He reportedly locked himself in his home and set it ablaze.

“Jala discovered through WhatsApp web that Shana was cheating him with three different men and this did not go well with him and I want to believe this is the end result.

Shana is reported to have been refusing to go for HIV tests and contact numbers of the three alleged men were shared with Jala’s brother,” said the source.

“Neighbours tried in vain to gain entry into the locked house after they spotted smoke coming out of the house and women took turns to put out the fire. We are still to get to the bottom of the story.”


Shana reportedly heard about what had happened to her husband but opted to remain at her workplace.

The Kaduna State Nutrition Officer, Hajiya Hauwa Usman has said that no fewer than 132 children have died of severe acute malnutrition out of the 12,858 hospitalised between January and October 2018 in the state.

Usman spoke while giving an update on the nutrition situation in the state at a two-day meeting in Kaduna, also said that 10,604 out of the 12,858 have been cured. The meeting was organised by Save the Children International (SCI) to support Kaduna State Chapter of the Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) to develop two-year Nutrition Advocacy Strategy.

She added that 187 others who have not recovered were undergoing treatment. “Currently, 11.7 per cent of children under-five years are wasted suffering from severe acute malnutrition, while 47 per cent are stunted (too short for their age),” she said and attributed the high incidence of malnutrition in the state to poor maternal, infant and young child feeding practices which has remained unsatisfactory.

“The Multiple Indicators Cluster Survey, 2017, releveled that the rate of timely breastfeeding initiation is 28.9 per cent, while only 19,7 per cent under-five children were exclusively breastfed. Similarly, only 10 children aged six to 23 months were adequately and appropriately fed,” she said.

Facebook user, Chioma Favour shared the story of her sister who suddenly went blind while writing exams. The blindness was allegedly caused by 'spiritual attack'.

Her sister later got married to another visually impaired man, who she met at a special school for the blind in Oji-River, Enugu State. They are blessed with two kids.

The blindness started as a joke in 2007 when she was about taking her WAEC, she was fully prepared for the exam when she then sat down for the exam, she was given her answer booklet and question paper, when she started screaming my eyes! My eyes!!

We got a phone call from the school and they informed us about her state! My father rushed to the school and brought her home.

That was when it all started!!
We started taking her to different hospitals, churches, any place that could solve her problem, but all to no avail..

She was operated on one of the eyes, that was when the real situation arose! Chai!!! My sister totally lost her sight. She was really pained, she thought all hope was lost.

Imagine she can't see anything again! Not even the face of her loved ones or the color of her clothes, (life is unpredictable)

As time goes on, she was enrolled in a special school for the blind situated at Oji-River, that was the place she met this man sitting with her in the picture who is now her husband, who has his own life challenging story,
The two of them met and fell in love with themselves, after some many training in the school, they left for Lagos and enrolled in a skill acquisition program where they learnt how to make beads, liquid soaps, disinfectants, and some many other things..

He came for her hand in marriage which my sister accepted since she can't continue living in depression, God blessed them with those kids you are seeing..

I thank God for the life of my sister who is trying hard to survive this condition, I thank God for her husband, and I also thank God for the children he Blessed them with!!

A Nigerian migrant on Thursday, burst into the asylum-seeker reception centre (CARA) in Foggia, Italy and attacked the director.

The migrant identified as Kelvin Iwekub threatened the director with violence and demanded 50 euros from him.

The incident happened at the CARA at Borgo Mezzanone on the outskirts of Foggia.

Police arrested 26-year-old Iwekub, on charges of attempted extortion and resisting arrest.

Iwekub is said to have left the centre some time ago.

A former US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr John Campbell, has said that though Nigeria possesses extraordinary potential, she is the troubled giant of Africa.

Campbell stated this in a new book he co-authored titled, "Nigeria: What Everyone Needs to Know". The book was presented to the public on Thursday in Lagos at the US Consul General’s residence.

Campbell stated in the book that virtually every major university in the English-speaking world hosted Nigerian academics with the country’s medical personnel found in hospitals all over the United States and elsewhere. He also saluted the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerians in the book
He said, Though it possesses extraordinary potential, Nigeria is truly the troubled giant of Africa. And Nigeria exports Christian clergy to the United Kingdom and the United States. Nigerians living outside of Nigeria have been notably successful in business and finance, and they are known for their entrepreneurial spirit.

In the book, Campbell and Matthew T. Page, Associate Fellow in Chatham House’s Africa Programme, described Nigeria as a nation characterised by a type of corruption in which government or public officials seek personal gain at the expense of the led.

They wrote;
Kleptocracy and government dishonesty have corrosive effects on popular confidence in governance. Official and unofficial corruption undermine the democratic trajectory and risks overwhelming it. It is among the most important hindrances to the country’s economic and social development.

They added;
Despite ubiquitous cell phone use and other signs of modernity, the country is one of the poorest in the world. By indices ranging from levels of female literacy to average lifespan, Nigeria scores among the lowest in the world. The country’s population has grown explosively without the economic and infrastructure development necessary to support it.

Ride-hailing service, Taxify has began operations simultaneously in Ibadan and Owerri today, becoming the first top-tier e-hailing service to expand beyond Lagos and Abuja and connect passengers with drivers in these cities.

An e-hailing service like Taxify is simply a cellphone-based transportation app that lets passengers easily, quickly and cost-effectively request for a driver to pick them up almost instantly wherever they are, to take them wherever they want to go.

According to a forensic geneticist, Dr. Abiodun Salami, 30 per cent of fathers are unknowingly nurturing and investing in children who are not biologically theirs.

Salami, who is also the Chief Medical Director, DNA Centre, Lagos, revealed that 50 per cent of the all paternity tests carried out in his laboratory came out negative and mostly affected were first born children.

This false pretence is common among Nigerian women. Durex survey suggested that Nigerian women are the most unfaithful in the world and a DNA expert from Lagos University Teaching Hospital claimed that 30% of Nigerian men are not the biological father of all the children"

University of Maiduguri graduate, Muhammad Sani took to Facebook to share a heartbreaking tribute to his wife, Hauwa, who died on Friday, September 7th, 2018, 16 days after she suffered a stillbirth.

Sani and Hauwa got married on 23rd December, 2017, after courting for eight months.

You were brief in my life. Everything about us was brief up to your last breath.

We got talking around January 2017 and we became best of friends. You taught me the meaning and value of friendship which made me amused with your way of life; so simple and charismatic in nature. You were reserved but warm, very jovial and unassuming, sometimes one will lack the right words to define your attitude but above all you were very religious.

You were an outstanding woman, very blunt on matters of advice and opinions. You always made good came out of every thing that came your way. You made me feel the beauty of love and care with you, worldly things were never your thing. The most amazing thing about you that I never got tired of were your smiles. They were so real you never faked them.

I remember vividly in April 2017, Aliyu & Aisha's dinner @Nasfat Hotel in Minna, I asked you if you would marry me and you kept smiling without saying anything and you asked me why I had asked you that and I told you God created you just for me and you couldn't stop smiling and that was how the beautiful secret relationship started.

During our relationship, you always texted me to let me know that you would call me but wouldn't say anything cuz all You wished for was to just listen to my voice and that was exactly what you would do. Neither of us knew that our marriage would come up that soon. We just knew something good was coming to us but we never thought it would be our marriage considering we were only 8 months into our relationship.

A month to our wedding, every known persons were invited and they were a little bit awed by the fact that we were even in a relationship. They had thought it was an arranged marriage.

The funny thing about all that was neither of us were ready for marriage but all our pleas went unheard by our parents and of course we plan and Allah plans, and He is the best of planners. We prayed over it with good faith and with Allah by our side, everything went smoothly. We got married on 23rd December, 2017. Masha'Allah beautiful ceremony it was with so much beautiful smiles all over us.

The journey of our beautiful lifes began without any obstacles. Allah in his infinite mercy made everything easy for us. Alhamdulillah you came into my family and you were loved by all. No one ever criticized you, you were a typical example of lower your gaze that Islam teaches us.

Alhamdulillah you were not just a wife to me but you were like a mother to me. You made sure I did things the right way. You were always not happy with me whenever I didn't eat on time.

You never liked it whenever I told you I would be traveling. Jazakillah you always made sure I had what so ever I wanted. Jazakillah for always making my meals. Jazakillah for the congregation prayers we always did together. Jazakillah for the care and so much love you gave me.

Jazakillah for the recitation of Quran we did together. Jazakillah for everything you've done for me. Jazakillah you were my everything. Jazakillah you made your family members love me so much which I will forever be grateful to them. Alhamdulillah Allah made everything easy for you during the time of your pregnancy. You never for once had any pains they say women undergo during pregnancies "Allah is indeed Great."

Sometimes I woke up in the middle of the night and the first thing I would see was you steering@ me and whenever I asked you why you weren't sleeping, you would say you were not sleepy. So we would get up and perform ablution and pray Nafila together.

You had said you loved the way I eat, it made you want to eat with me all the time. But that faithful Friday 31st August, 2018 after Friday prayers "Ina lillahi wa ina ilaehi rajihun" when We had lost our Baby. You had given birth to her successfully even though it was a stillbirth and she was buried on Saturday morning. Since then life wasn't the same for us again especially you.

The pain started. All efforts made by me, both our families and friends to make you feel better again went in vain because only you and the Almighty Allah knew the pain you were going through not what all of us had imagined because God decided to hide it from us. Only the Almighty Allah knew why. "Subuhanallah"

Even on your sick bed you would call me as early as 5am to wake me up for fajr Sallah.

Immediately I offered my prayers, I would come over to my family house to see you and all you would ask me was to come sit close you. You would always rest your head on my laps and made me just hold your fragile hands in mine. Even on your sick bed you kept praying to God to reward my Mum and stepmom for taking good care of you and how you wished you got better quickly so that they didn't have to get tired of you.

You showed me so many signs that you were going but I never noticed because God took that knowledge away @ that time from me.

You would call me and sit me down just to ask for my forgiveness in any way you may have wronged me. It always broke my heart and I felt really sad and worried that you even thought of such things because at that moment wallahi it always sounded to me as if you were saying farewell but I did told you I had forgiven you even though I told you that you had not done anything wrong to me.
L You've always been the good wife to me. Every night I would leave you @ my family house, you always didn't want me to go, you always insisted on me staying longer.

You always insisted on me praying for you before I went back home. You always insisted I bathed you because you said I bathed you better than anyone would.

A night before your death, you insisted that I backed you which I did and you insisted I prayed all over your body before I took my leave and that faithful Thursday night you insisted I shouldn't go, I should stay and sleep beside you but I had to go back home.

Even with you being in pain, you still found time and strength to make people laugh. On Friday which was your last day with me in this life, you called me as early as 5am to wake me up for fajr prayer as you made it your daily routine and you told me to get up and pray which I immediately did. You also told me to get you a Zobo drink when coming to see you which I definitely did. It was when I got to the house to see you only to find you restless and breathing so difficultly, calling me to come closer and hold you tight. All I could hear from you was that you were tried and wanted to just sleep.

I couldn't bear it anymore because you were breathing so hard that I could hear the way your heartbeat was pulling subhanallah. You kept telling me you wanted to sleep for a while and I said no we would go to the hospital, and you would get your sleep there. And that was my last conversation with you dear wife. I immediately rushed you to the hospital and when we got there, your condition became critical.

Friday September 7th, 2018 (28/12/1439AH) is the day I will never forget in my entire life. It was the day I understood what it felt like to have a patient struggling for life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The long stand, the long wait, and the hopes and all were just to see or hear a Doctor or Nurse tell me you would be fine. But Sadly, the Doctors and Nurses words and whispers kept saying in the same rhythm and chorus, "Pray for her." They called me and asked me to sit by your bed side and be calling your name and also be praying for you, maybe, just maybe you might hear me and would have woken up. I wanted to cry so bad but the doctors told me not to, at least not in your presence.

Just pray and she will be fine was all they kept telling me. I kept praying and you held my hand so tight and all I could see in your eyes were tears rolling down your face. You kept staring @ me but you couldn't say anything anymore.

The doctors kept telling me not to worry and that they were doing their best to save you. Before then, your pleas and appeals to everyone was always to put you in their prayers. Subhanallah What a coincidence! Could this mean that you had sensed you wouldn't survive it? Subhanallah WaLLAHU Ah-alam.

No one had the slightest of idea that you were already bidding farewell to this sinful world.. You left this sinful world between 8:30pm and 9:00pm."

A Muslim preacher has sparked an outrage after he declared that it's a 'major sin' for a wife to refuse sex with her husband.

Nassim Abdi , a fundamentalist preacher in Sydney, Australia told an Auburn mosque in the city's west, that a woman would be 'cursed' by angels for refusing her husband's demands for sex.

'If the husband calls the wife to be intimate and there's no legitimate reason for the woman to say no, then she must answer the call of her husband,' he said on Friday night.

'She must answer the call of her husband and if not she has committed a major sin.

'If the man calls the wife to bed and she refuses, the angels curse this woman and he sleeps with her whilst he's angry, the angels curse her until she wakes up.'

His statement has sparked major concern among Feminists, with long-time feminist Eva Cox describing him as a 'nutter' for disrespecting women's rights.

'Somebody needs to inform the preacher that he's preaching something which is illegal,' she told Daily Mail Australia.

'Preaching something which is illegal maybe should be banned. I'm sorry we've got these nutters.'

Macquarie University research professor Catharine Lumby, a gender adviser with the National Rugby League, described the sermon as 'hate speech'.

'That kind of speech should be investigated. I believe in freedom of speech but I believe in limits to freedom of speech where violence is being advocated,' she said.

'It is absolutely against the law in this country what he's advocating. It's a form of hate speech.'

While Professor Lumby said Mr. Abdi's sermon could encourage Muslim men to commit domestic violence.

'I would say it's incitement to commit a criminal offence: if your wife doesn't submit, then you still have the right to take her. That is a crime under Australian law,' she said.

'Shocking. The more I think about what this fundamentalist preacher said, in a way he's advocating a form of domestic violence.'

It's the latest twist in an escalating feud over the money and what happened to it.

Kate McClure and Mark D'Amico have been embroiled in a legal fight with Johnny Bobbitt Jr. after they started a GoFundMe account for him. They said they were touched by his kindness after Bobbitt gave his last $20 to McClure for gas when she became stranded on Interstate 95 in October.

According Florence Township, New Jersey, police Chief Brian Boldizar, the warrant was for a search of a property belonging to McClure and D'Amico.

In a statement, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott A. Coffina confirmed a search warrant had been executed "in connection with a criminal investigation into the Johnny Bobbitt matter" but said the couple have not been charged with anything.

The viral feel-good story began to deteriorate last month after Bobbitt's attorney, Chris Fallon, accused the couple of withholding a large portion of the funds from his client.

Fallon said the veteran had only been given about $75,000. After GoFundMe's fees, the lawyer said, Bobbitt should have received about $300,000 more.

But an attorney for McClure and D'Amico said they provided Bobbitt with more than $200,000, according to CNN affiliates WPVI and KYW.

On Wednesday, a New Jersey judge ordered the couple to appear at a deposition on Monday to answer questions about the funds, saying she was no longer comfortable with hearing only from their attorney.

GoFundMe has said it's working with law enforcement to see that Bobbitt receives all of the money raised on his behalf, though his attorney claimed he learned the money is gone.

According to WPVI and KYW, McClure and D'Amico had the money they raised on GoFundMe in their personal accounts, Bobbitt's lawyer said.

Reached for comment Thursday morning, the couple's attorney, Ernest Badway, told CNN, "We have no comment."

The couple told The Philadelphia Inquirer they gave Bobbitt some of the money but were withholding the rest until he got a job and was drug-free.

According to Fallon, Bobbitt has a drug addiction problem and plans to participate in a monthlong rehab program.

The act of kindness seemed destined to pull Johnny Bobbitt from the depths of homelessness and drug abuse he struggled with on the day Kate McClure’s car sputtered to a stop in front of him.

She was a motorist on Interstate 95 – a major highway – in Philadelphia who found herself stuck on an off-ramp, scared and out of gas.

He was a homeless veteran who told her to lock her doors, then spent his last $20 (£15) on that day in October to bring her a canister of fuel.

Later she sought to repay the favour, first with cereal bars and warm socks and spare dollars, then with a
GoFundMe campaign to raise money so the good Samaritan would not have to sleep under a bridge. Mr Bobbitt, she told anyone who would listen, deserved a fresh start.

“I wish that I could do more for this selfless man, who went out of his way just to help me that day,” she said in the GoFundMe campaign, which she and her boyfriend, Mark D’Amico, crafted in the car after visiting with Mr Bobbitt. “He is such a great guy, and talking to him each time I see him makes me want to help him more and more.”

They hoped the GoFundMe would raise $10,000 (£7,700), but the story resonated. It was featured in national newspapers, including The Washington Post . The pair made an appearance on Good Morning America and were interviewed by the BBC – a feel good story at the start of the holiday season. In a few months, the campaign had raised more than $400,000 (£300,000) from nearly 14,000 donors , and Mr Bobbitt’s prospects had brightened.

But over the past 10 months, the sweet story has soured.

There are accusations of mismanagement and outright
theft of the money raised on Mr Bobbitt’s behalf. The GoFundMe cash, Mr Bobbitt suspected, had been squandered on vacations, a luxury car and more than one addiction. And this weekend, the threat of litigation loomed.

Last fall, Ms McClure said, the plan was to get Mr Bobbitt a house and his dream truck, a 1999 Ford Ranger. Mr Bobbitt also planned to donate money to people and organisations that had helped him as he struggled with homelessness.
The plan was to make the second act of Mr Bobbitt’s life a successful one, and for a while, things seemed happy.

Pictures showed Mr Bobbitt at Ms McClure and Mr D’Amico’s house at Christmas, posing next to the tree, wearing adult onesies and baking cookies.

In reality, things were not that rosy. Instead of a house, Ms McClure and Mr D’Amico got Mr Bobbitt a camper, which they kept in their names and parked on land owned by Mr D’Amico’s family, according to news reports. They bought him a television, a laptop and two cellphones, food and clothing, and a used SUV that was soon broken and idle.

What he did not get, though, was any type of ownership over the money raised on his behalf. He met briefly with a financial adviser, but there was never any lawyer or any trust, according to television station WTVR. Mr D’Amico said he kept $200,000 (£155,000) – what remained after buying the camper and the SUV and other expenses – in a savings account that he would gladly turn over to Mr Bobbitt once he kicked an addiction to opioids and managed to hold down a job.

But Mr Bobbitt said he saw troubling signs for the money that thousands had donated to him. Ms McClure is a receptionist for the New Jersey Department of Transportation and Mr D’Amico is a carpenter, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer . But suddenly she had a new BMW, and the couple was taking vacations to Florida and California and Las Vegas, Mr Bobbitt told
The Inquirer . He learned of a helicopter ride they took over the Grand Canyon.

And he told The Inquirer that Mr D’Amico has
gambled away some of the GoFundMe money. (Mr D’Amico told the newspaper he had used $500 (£389) from the account to gamble on a night when he forgot his SugarHouse Casino card, but had “quickly repaid” the money with his winnings.)

Good intentions had given way to something else, Mr Bobbitt told The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“With that amount of money, I think it became greed,” Mr Bobbitt said.

According to The Inquirer , Mr D’Amico spoke of expenses he and his girlfriend had incurred caring for Mr Bobbitt, including time they took off from work.

The money that came to Mr Bobbitt could not stop his addiction. He went through two unsuccessful stints in
rehab that brought him no closer to being sober. Some of the money GoFundMe donors gave to him ended up in the pockets of drug dealers, Mr Bobbitt told The Inquirer.

In April, six months after his fateful meeting with Ms McClure, Mr Bobbitt told The Inquirer that he had been clean for three weeks and jobless for much longer.

“It’s going to be a struggle for the rest of my life,” he said of his addiction.

Mr D’Amico, who frequently gave Mr Bobbitt a ride to counselling sessions and group meetings, told The Inquirer that giving a six-figure sum to a man addicted to opioids is “like me handing him a loaded gun. He has to do what he has to do to get his life together.”

On Saturday, it was unclear how much of the money earmarked to Mr Bobbitt had actually gone to him. Mr D’Amico told The Inquirer he had made some lump sum payments to Mr Bobbitt, but Mr D’Amico and Ms McClure did not return calls or messages to The Post seeking comment. They also didn’t they provide financial statements or records in interviews with other news organisations.

Chris Fallon, an attorney hired by Mr Bobbitt, told The Post on Saturday that they “are attempting to secure an accounting before a scheduled meeting on Monday” and did not want to speak for fear of jeopardising arbitration efforts.

GoFundMe told the Associated Press it has launched an investigation to determine whether the money was mismanaged, and is working to ensure Mr Bobbitt “receives the help he deserves and that the donors’ intentions are honoured”.

If Mr Bobbitt’s claims are true, it would be the biggest case of GoFundMe fraud or mismanagement seen by GoFraudMe, a whistleblower organisation, according to Adrienne Gonzalez, the site’s publisher.

Some of the hucksters are serial scammers, who can start dozens or hundreds of bogus campaigns in a day, said Ms Gonzalez. Others fake diseases, figuring no one will demand evidence of, say, a recent cancer diagnosis.

And still others, she said, end up unwitting fraudsters –unqualified to handle the vast sums of money they suddenly find themselves stewards of.

“From the bat, it’s clear that there was no sort of plan,” Ms Gonzalez said of Mr Bobbitt’s case. “She didn’t plan on it exploding, but once it started to explode, she didn’t think about how this man was actually going to get help. People contributed not thinking that this is a sick individual who needs help –and no amount of money is going to make that go away overnight.”

Savvy donors should look for a plan that ensures the money will make it to a needy person, and some type of accountability measures to ensure donations do not end up in the wrong pockets, she said.

Nearly a year after meeting Ms McClure, the camper is gone, and so is the SUV. Mr Bobbitt told The Inquirer that he remains an addict, and still does not have access to the money that was supposed to turn his life around.

At night, he sleeps under a bridge at the intersection of Callowhill and Second Streets, near an I-95 on-ramp. He spends his days doing exactly what he was doing when Ms McClure’s car stopped in front of him: panhandling.

An American Attorney has called off her engagement after her fiance made a ''frightening'' remark that got her thinking.
