YoungDaNaval:I’ve actually often thought about it but seeing this recipe more-or-less confirms that it would hit right. I don’t think many people realise exactly how beneficial Igbo nchuanwu (effirin to the Yoruba, not that Yoruba people generally seem to know what to do with most greens) is. It’s a game-changer for so many foods. When my mum introduced me to it (a long time ago) I knew it was a vegetable that would probably increase my lifespan. |
Kollins11:(As far as I know) she’s a married woman, you silly little boy. How dare you. How bloody dare you. Get your tapped self out of here and go flirt with someone who’s actually on your jobless level. |
Nice one, dear. Nchuanwu is a welcome addition to anything. |
Shiver99:Abiriba’s very okay. |
mariahAngel:I mean, you definitely have a point. I wouldn’t go in with my hopes exceedingly up but if there was ever a Pizza Hut that sold ose-Nsukka-laced jellof rice and suya chicken like the Shoprite-Onicha kind, I’d be well made up. But I’d probably still make sure I got pepperoni-something on the side just in case. |
You go to Dominos for anything other than pizza, soda and hot buffalo-wings, you naturally have to expect variable quality. Pizza-Hut, Dominos and K.F.C. are the last places I’d go if I really wanted to eat rice. |
These two need to be careful. That’s all I’ll say. |
She’s recovered well. |
kwinanitaa:Eziokwu. Very important. |
Sunisonflex39:You’re either supposed to drink it or use agidi. Pepper soup isn’t normally a soup you eat with hard fufu of any kind. Stuff like that and cooking Point and Kill with ofor/achi (like it’s supposed to be some sort of egusi) make little sense but like I said well done for trying. Anyway, maybe this catfish soup really isn’t trying to be anything like pepper soup and is its own thing but in a tight APC regime I’d only be bringing out such a soup for one thing and one thing only, otherwise I’d sooner stick to native soup. |
Channah1:Oh, it is. |
Faposky95:If that’s the case then you’d hate the U.K. Between Liverpool 7 and sodding Peckham 70% of Yorubas are Ijebu/Abeokuta people. Ogunites at one point seemed to be the only Yorubas who travelled. You don’t see as many Oyo and Ondo/Ekiti folk in England and it’s actually quite annoying. But that’s just to change the subject a little. |
Das1mama:I know someone who does wonderful palm oil but you’ll have to be able to get to Akwa Ibom. |
Revolva:More gay men than not (you’ll realise this more in the Western world where being black, as-distinct from other races, is a bigger deal) are into road, rough-rough and down-low. The campies are a minority. A 6”6 guy is far more likely to be gay than a 5”7/8 guy and it’s the truth. |
MorningSir:I’m quite uninterested in people’s sexuality (which is probably a good thing because it shows that I’m capable of just minding my own business and getting on with my own) but I’m just going to entertain some people on this thread. What on Earth could your beef possibly be with a consenting adult who chooses to have sex. with another one? Why would that matter so much to you? |
etrouble:Half of Igbos are Catholic and Catholics are barely, barely Christian (it does have to be said). Only the middle-belt ones and half Catholic/half-Pentecostal/celestial Igbo ones stand any real chance of being owt like born-again. The rest are just wishy-washy nominal Christians. They’re not about God like that. They’re Christians by name only. |
Abujaexpress:Those three will do. Like I say he’s welcome to bang or be banged by consenting adults of either binary gender if that’s what he wants. And no. I’m not even woke like that. I just dislike homophobia. |
He’s ugly as hell (I can hardly even look at that face) and shamefully heinous (I mean, poor victim) but his sexuality couldn’t be less relevant. The overwhelming majority of known rapists are straight but people generally don’t include ‘heterosexual man’ in the corresponding titles and for good reason. It doesn’t matter. |
Bluntguy:It does look more Ghanaian than Naij. but it doesn’t look bad. |
kwinanitaa:I agree. Call me mean or problematically critical but the presentation’s truly appalling. Absolutely dreadful. If it’s ofe-nsala (which when properly prepared looks much, much better than this) with achi/ofor (which would be too expensive for someone who’s supposed to be on a tight budget), that’s what he should’ve said. |
mariahAngel:Didn’t you say in an other post that meh are hopeless cooks for the most part? Listen, I’m not that easily pleased and you don’t get to where I am without years of hard work, resilience in the face of agony and mutual expectations of what quality is (even if it’s only preliminarily-manifest). Stating so is my prerogative. Other people are welcome to be invariably enthusiastic cheerleaders. Me, I’m a judge with a soft side. I don’t call any rubbish good. Listen, nice try, O.P., but you’ve still got a long way to go. I’d advice you to look for a kindly fried-rice buff to help you master that first. Once you’ve got that kind of procedure and patience nailed to a T (similarly for chin-chin), you’ll have more luck with these dishes. Go find a Titilayo, Chidinma or an Nkechi in the meantime. I ain’t calling you crap-crap but your presentation, arrangement and idea of what pepper soup actually is seriously need to improve. |
Sunisonflex39:You don’t eat pepper-soup of any kind (unless it’s ofe-nsala) with swallow. Sorry. What on Earth is garri doing near orthodox Point and Kill? You dey craze? |
Is this guy still relevant? |
Moh247:This, on the other hand, is something else. |
PureMe01:I also see Naija-Amaka in general in these shots. Dope. |
Racist whites: “go back to Africa, monkey.” Tribalistic/envious Yorubas: “go back to Agukwu, omo nna-nne.” The irony’s baffling. Any Yoruba tribalist who claims to concurrently be anti-racism needs a reality check. When it’s reversed it’s understandable because Igbos have been through an awful lot but Yoruba tribalists have to be some of the biggest hypocrites going. Stop it. |
Neddstark:I’m in a very good place. Trust me. |
Neddstark:Let’s not leave you guys malnourished and only collecting beans and owambe rice for nourishment. |
