solesty:
Which universities in nigeria offer software engineering as course and is unilorin good and offering?
University of Ilorin does not offer software engineering, it offers computer science as a 4yr program
there is an option at the masters level(M.sc in computer science) for software engineering

NYSCRe: Should NYSC Be Scrapped? What's Your Take On NYSC? by prodam(m): 9:59pm On Jan 15, 2012
if the scrapping would reduce the untimely death of innocent young Nigerians, then ALL the way, it should be scrapped,
YES, They are bound to be problems and they are also approaches and solutions to them
What jst baffles me the most is that we are talking abt beefing up security around coppers,
if a calamity can still occur in a state where "a state of emergency was declared" then security is not the issue but the leaders through their nefarious activities is our problem,

i suggest the aims and objectives of the scheme should be altered or modified to reflect a better advantage to fresh graduates, why not use the whole year to learn about different disciplines, and give them industry based training in their respective field, they may also be helpful to the local and state governments of their state of origin, no more posting to states not in their geo-political zone,

whats gonna be the next?

remember some one assured Nigerians of ruling us for the next 50yrs,
wake up NIgerians, come 2015 lets vote right,
please this administration has confirmed that PDP is an anti-people party, in PDP, personal interest supersedes the interest of the masses,

all over the world christians are known to be peace loving people. same goes for real muslims some of whom i presently wine and dine with, you dare not molest a non muslim while they arround without a good reason but the unimformed ones accross the globe are ready to die any minute over things they know little or nothing about.

A true christian is peace loving and would not seek the head or blood of another as vengeance belongs to God

NOTE: A CHURCH GOER IS NOT A CHRISTIAN, HE IS JUST A NUMBER IN THE BODY OF CHRIST AND NOT A MEMBER
u are definitely right bro,
media is another issue that has brought misfortune to this country, both local and international news have continued to portray our bad image(probable it has been planned, God knows),
in a situation whereby a Christian hears a news informing him of mass massacre of his fellow Christian brothers else where, He might be forced to have bad impression on his Muslim neighbors, but basically, the 2 religions condemn violence

PoliticsRe: Momoh, Madueke, Nezor SA, & Tridax SA: The Real CABAL? by prodam(m): 9:26pm On Jan 11, 2012
DanKan0:
GEJ knows very well who the cabal is. He is just to scared to tackle them because they financed his campaign. He rather loot your subsidy to refinance the 'owners' of Nigeria  cool cool
make sense,

the cabal is a known "body" to every one in power,
all the govt officials requesting for the exposure of the cabal, know them pretty well,
they have been making successful(with mutual benefit) deals already.but recently finds out, they(the cabl, the oil tycoon) make more beyond the deal
so they decide to sabotage their plans by removing the subsidy, but at this point in the economic history of nigeria, the removal is not welcome,
hence, the need for a protest

i hope u get my insinuation, (some how logical, requires deep reasoning)

PoliticsRe: Bakare Urges National Assembly To Impeach Goodluck Jonathan by prodam(m): 6:55pm On Jan 11, 2012
Impeachment of the President  in Nigeria today may take up to a whole regime(4 year term) to be implemented.

you are aware of what such a movement can produce such as :
political worries, protests, media, court proceedings, house proceedings, intervention of the international bodies, interpretation of constitution,
rallies, discussion forum, referendum,

impeach a PDP-breed by PDP-breeds with the "oath of support in brotherhood" still in existence,

Impeachment will remain imaginary
but GOD has the final say

PoliticsRe: Senate Asks Jonathan To Revert Petrol Pump Price To N65 by prodam(m): 12:10pm On Jan 11, 2012
Gbawe:
GEJ has been hung out to dry by the entire legislative arm of Governance. Those who are politically astute will know the meaning of what we are seeing. The Legislators are , without doubt, the direct representatives of the people in the system of Governance we practice. Disregard them and you disregard the people. It really is as simple as that. GEJ fans should shut up for once and accept that the majority have delivered their verdict . Fuel subsidy removal will be reversed or GEJ will burn and crash with this as focus moves towards how he is reluctant to remove the subsidy him and a few enjoy while insisting fuel subsidy , benefitting 160 million Nigerians, must go. Our Senators and reps may only be concerned with self-preservation but GEJ must open his eyes to note that this is a battle, in the pro-people twitter and facebook age, he cannot win.
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!

But in a country that is being governed by a constitution: only the constitution can determine the GEJ's response to the conclusion of the NASS

ITS A PITY, i am being impeded by my lack of knowledge of the constitution as regards " resolution from the national assembly and the presidents consent"

, i wish i can get a clue as to what the constitution has to say on this, then a 1000-word essay by my pen would not be enough to describe GEJ's arrogance and stupidity,

sincerely,

it is quite saddening to know that this post find a place on the front page,
its good to be updated on current happenings in our country BUT it would have remained in the forum(section) where it was posted.
At least, a site like Nairaland should also display COMPLETE solidarity through out the period of this national struggle,
they are many more news we are yet to get about the ongoing strike, many issues still remain undiscussed here, please lets move in a direction
"this act is synonymous to dbanj planning to shoot a video during the strike"

Nigerians are getting mature. This is how the revolution starts. We can kill them all. Let's apply the Jerry Rawlings template. Let's not allow religion and ethnicity divide us. Let's fight our common enemies. We can do this together!
yes!! one  nigeria

in 1914, we all gave consent to the successful amalgamation of the protectorates, lets resist the toast from our selfish leaders to divide us,
we are all friends, a yoruba muslim has a christian hausa friend,
if 1967 civil war did not divide us into two separate nations, lets not allow the news of hired-man(hiding under the bokoharam group) to divide us,
furthermore, division exposes us to more torment and tyranny by the leaders cos their family comes first before the masses, A person that made a whole nation go weird including the people of his hometown, he will do same, when he leads the people of same cultural and religious background,
he would be more loyal to the caucus more than the masses
lets have a rethink,
