PoliticsRe: Angry South Africans Hand Over List Of Demands To Nigeria's SA Ambassador (PICS) by proeast(m): 7:58pm On Sep 24, 2020
YEBOmadiba:
Here's what I read, thanks for the tip. grin grin grin
You've been spamming everywhere with this crap while thinking you've hit the bull's eye. Now, to burst your bubble, the poverty you've been parroting about is only prevalent in Northern Nigeria because the government opened its borders for the largely poor Sahel region of Africa to flood into Northern Nigeria. Black South Africans are poorer than Southern Nigerians where most of those ShopRite you're talking about are located. Southern Nigeria has far more enterprising youths who are into tech development, movie acting, music, football etc. and that is why Nigeria dominates all these sectors I mentioned in Africa while South Africa doesn't come close.

The same way there is a large disparity in household income between white South Africans who are rich and Black South Africans who are wretched and live mostly in slums is same way we have a relatively rich South and a poor North which was made worst by a government that likes playing Father Christmas to people from the arid Sahel region of Africa.

Unlike your White overlords, if Black South Africans are not lazy, economically disadvantaged and poverty stricken, they won't be going about looking for scapegoats to visit their frustration on.

Meanwhile, we now have lots of Nigerian owned malls that are better than ShopRite and that's where most enlightened people now shop for groceries because we have discovered that ShopRite often sells unwholesome products.

Those that are taking the risk of staying in the ritual capital of the world are just adventurers who came to exploit the locals and take advantage of their laziness. [quote author=FOXDOSSIER post=94228684][s][/s]

[s]Shut up, i asked a very simple question. Ebonyi has 85% poverty rate, infact Ebonyi people have the highest poor population in the entire southern Nigeria. Are they the population that will patronize cinema? Any business that wishes to survive don't waste resources going to state like ebony.[[/s]/quote]

You're still talking rubbish. Cinema is never patronized by the poor in Nigeria, but the rich and middle class and Abakilike just like any other city in Nigeria, has a good number of such.

Stop envying a state that is making a giant strides, instead put pressure on your own governor who is obviously performing woefully to emulate Umahi is bringing development to you.

[s]Are they going to be hawking gala in the cinema? What's the business of a state it's people are most poor gala hawkers with cinema?[/s]
Stop talking rubbish, every state in Nigeria has hawkers so you have no point. These people you are letting down as hawkers are earning better than some bank workers, teachers or clerical staff who earn 40k monthly, or even those agbo sellers who are found all over Nigeria.

Stop mocking people doing legal things to earn a living.
PoliticsRe: Silverbird Group To Establish Cinema Outlet In Ebonyi by proeast(m): 4:37pm On Sep 23, 2020
If only half of Nigeria's irresponsible governors can be like Umahi, this country would go far in no time.

Dave Umahi is definitely the best governor in the history of Ebonyi state and among the best ever in the history of Nigeria. He has single handedly developed Ebonyi from a backwater state to an emerging powerhouse.

Great job man!!!

PoliticsRe: FG, States, LGs Share N682.060bn As Allocation For August, 2020 by proeast(m): 3:10pm On Sep 23, 2020
Asour:
They do post the actual amounts allotted to all states of the federation. You can find it at the RMFAAC website.

Also, Auditors at the State Auditor general office are responsible for such report. External auditors may do a better job but even they are not impervious to corruption (AKA bias due to threat of loss of business). With the FOI act now many government documents can be demanded and privately assessed by individuals. It's not hard to find anomalies on them, it is rarer to get them to act on any such.

But then again all of this "high sounding" amount is about 1.7bn$ for Nigerians. For good comparison, nike earned an average 3.2bn$ a month in 2019 with about 75k employees
.

God help us.
You mean a company of 75k staff earned $3.2bn while a country of 200 million earned and shared $1.7bn shocked shocked Are we that poor??

Then let each state manage its resources and pay certain % to the center, at least that would help us to double productivity in the near future when all these idle states are forced to ditch laziness and get to work on whatever activity they have comparative advantage. Otherwise, I don't see how we will ever escape this poverty circle and hopelessness.

In this 21st century Nigeria is still sharing money to states in such reckless manner. Why not post how much each state got?

Why can't they run these states in a professional way and have funds audited properly?

The federal government will receive money from the IOC's and add the ones it collected from China and other lenders and distribute to governors who end up using it as they pleases.

Is it impossible to audict the civil servants population and respective ranks in each state and and have a professional firm handle the allocations, while state governors will make specific requests that will be tied to any infrastructural project before funds will be released.

Run this damn country like civilized people!!

PoliticsRe: Igbo Must Return Home To Invest – Umahi, Ohanaeze by proeast(m): 11:56am On Sep 23, 2020
Masterclass32:
The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi; and the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Nnia Nwodo, on Tuesday reiterated the need for Ndigbo in diaspora to return home and invest towards economic development of the region.

The two Igbo leaders, who spoke in Abakaliki on Tuesday, on the occasion of the Ebonyi Business Forum, which held at the Ecumenical Centre, said the way and manner Ndigbo continued to overlook the investment opportunities abound in the zone was partly responsible for the slow pace of economic development in the region.

The two leaders insisted that the situation must change if the region was ready to take its rightful place in the country.

Speaking on the business opportunities in Ebonyi State, Umahi noted that his administration had made efforts in repositioning the state to welcome and accommodate all kinds of investors in the state.

He said, “Ebonyians and Ndigbo in general should visit and invest in any sector of their interest. All the necessary environments that aided the growth of businesses have been provided in the state.”

Nwodo applauded the Igbo investors from Lagos State who were in the state for investment purposes, saying with the level of infrastructural development in Ebonyi, the state would soon become the economic hub of the entire South-East.

He said, “It is said a good wealth is the one that reaches home. I am aware that Igbo registered voters in Lagos are more than three million people.

“But during the elections, they are reminded that Lagos is not their father’s land. When things like that happen, it reminds you that you come from somewhere; and the need to go home. We have to develop Alaigbo, and turn it into what Catalonian is to t Spain, and what Berlin is to Germany,”

https://punchng.com/igbo-must-return-home-to-invest-umahi-ohanaeze/?amp=1
Absolute truth!!
Igbos must bring their investments home and leave only warehouses and stores outside our region. If we bring 70% of our Investments home, SE will automatically become the most industrialized region in Nigeria.

But if Tinubu wants his career to die too, he should contest in 2023.
As it stands now, Tinubu can't even win APC primaries talk more of contesting the presidency in 2023. However, I will pray they give him the APC ticket either by hook or crook so he will be utterly disgraced at the polls.

Wow, this is amazing!
They look as beautiful as those imported ones they sell 2 million per set in shopping malls.

The federal government should help all these maufacturing clusters in Aba, Nnewi, Kano, Onitsha and Lagos to enhance their capacity then give a date when the alternate imported ones will be banned from Nigeria. That is how countries grow!!

Once the refineries are enough you ban fuel importation!

Cement is banned already.
Rice is banned.
Extend the ban to item that local manufacturers can produce enough alternative and by so doing you save forex, create jobs, and grow your economy.

Help Innoson by not just using its vehicles for all ministries and agencies but also help them in the diplomatic angle by promoting the Innoson brands to other African countries.

This is not rocket science na.

Aren't you guys ashamed? Or self-assessment is a crime in your villages?
The part in bold is a statement borne out of ignorance. What do you mean by Tinubu's Lagos? A man who came from Osun state has no more right to Lagos than any other Nigerian from any state.

I left Lagos back in 2013 because I couldn't stand the Hobbessian lifestyle there and relocated to the East.

We don't suffer fool's gladly here in the East, and that's why we always call out people like Ikpeazu for performing below per, same way we call out Tinubu for not allowing Lagos to breath. The bullion van theif didn't do anything tangible throughout the 8 years he ruled and has since pocketed the Lagos. He is the reason why most parts of Lagos mainland is now rotten because money that should be used in provided amenities is sent to him in bullion vans.

FYI, Lagos has a special status in Nigeria, just like Abuja. So you guys should stop this pathetic attempt at trying to make it look like a Yoruba success story because that's fallacy!

Our Lagos is already a London to them, we will make them a foreigner, import their ladies and Bang them.
Tinubu is from a rustic and decayed village called Iragbiji in Osun state. He should go and develop his primitive village and leave Nigeria's commercial capital and former federal capital alone.

If just being a Yoruba can not earn you special status in Lagos except the right to do agbero work then I wonder what you're bragging for. Lands will be sold to whoever has the money to buy! You go to the same markets, buy fuel at same price and live as a tenant or landlord depending on your economic status. So stop decieving yourself.
