Iamgrey5:There are more industries in Aba alone than the whole of SW bar Lagos the former federal capital and its suburbs which include Agbara and Ota. If you dare me you can go ahead and list the industries in SW and I will name the industries in Aba. Enough of your propaganda. |
cocolacec:Lol, this is so ridiculous and these people will still claim to be educated?! Even the unfortunate guy holding the poster looks unemployable just like 60% of afonjas in Lagos ![]() Now, let's even assume that this rubbish is possible. Then how many companies in Lagos are actually owned by afonjas?! After removing the companies owned by Igbos, Lebanese, Indians and Chinese, how many is left?! Or are you going to force them to employ characters like that boy holding the poster?! Awo free education really set a very bad foundation for you guys. Tufiakwa! |
PROUDIGBO:Aba-Owerri road has always been built up since the 1990's. Beginning from the Bata end of Factory road till Osisioma junction has never been bushy as far as I could remember. |
PROUDIGBO:Lol, to imagine that Abia state had another disaster that preceded this current one is enough to make one crazy. To be honest, I see no difference between the two of them. Maybe they can jointly hold the title. I even heard that the former useless governor and his son who is now the speaker of the state HOA have become godfather in the state ![]() |
How would all these distractions help Imo state?! Nigeria's judicial system is as failed as the Nigerian state itself. Tufiakwa! |
Chef2000:Okezie Ikpeazu has turned road construction into rocket science. You mean we have to watch in awe and be impressed that he just worked on Aba-Owerri road?! A supposed fairly rich state like Abia has been reduced to the level of celebrating one road that is not even completed?! Now, after using concrete to seal the gutters, what will happen when it eventually gets blocked as would most likely happen in no distant time?! This man has three years left to redeem his image or else he will forever be the worst governor in the history of SE. |
TheRareGem1:Even the pictures you posted are misleading. The rail-lines you posted are located where exactly? Which section/area is that? That refinery picture you posted is from where exactly? You even posted a computer generated image of Enyimba trade zone. Does it mean there is nothing on ground to show so you have to generate one? You can only fool gullible people with your phantom projects. |
If only these guys will use half the time and energy they allocate to doing useless propaganda, things would have been better in Nigeria. You sit down in Abuja to conjure up fictional list and still try to force it down our throats is an exercise in futility. AIIA Enugu has remained closed indefinitely! Enugu/P.H expressway is in terrible condition as well as several others in the SE! What about appointments? SE was totally sidelined even in appointments they are constitutionally entitled to! When it involves other regions, we will see pictures and videos of real site projects being worked but when it comes to the SE you start seeing a long list of concorted projects. The most annoying thing is how arrogant they are while doing it as if they are doing Igbos a favour. RUBBISH! |
By the time Buhari leaves office, it may be exchanging at $1 to #1000 naira. |
Coder2Client:Rubbish question. The Ikwerres bear Igbo names, speak Igbo and are related to Igbos in many other ways but we have granted them independence to be on their own as they wish. The Aworis have been subjugated by Invaders from other states. People come from other places to rule over them but you all shouldn't take their patience for foolery because one day they will rise and defend their lands. That Aworis share similarities with their neighbors due to many years of interaction does not mean they should be subjugated in that manner. It's unfair! |
Lol, afonjas are so ridiculous. SMH! The funny thing is that they keep trolling Igbos and throwing slurs at them but it keeps boomeranging on them. They threw all manner of slurs at Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, and even went to the extent of comparing her with that afonja girl that used forgery to become minister of finance, today nobody knows her whereabout while NOI keeps soaring globally. Their elite keeps getting entangled in one fraud case or another while ours keep excelling in diverse fields. Hausas and Yorubas have been running Nigeria since the end of the Biafran war. Now compare Nigeria of now with Nigeria of then when Igbos were in control based on merit, after replacing the British colonialists. Sane countries use their best brains to run their nations example USA, Germany, S.Korea, Canada, UK etc. unlike failed countries such as Nigeria that use their worst dregs due to primitive sentiment. |
HenryDion:Many beggers in Nigeria earn more than lots of graduates ![]() There was this crippled man I always give money in my neighborhood until someone I know told me the dude has several buses plying the roads of Owerri and that he was equally a landlord |
anibi9674:You know them very well. They can be quite funny and street smart. They usually sing in Igbo and their lyrics often goes like this: aunty Mara nma, brother Mara nma, nyetu mu ego. Agu n'agum. Chukwu ga agozi gi ![]() They are a common sight at various motor parks in the East. I always see them back in the days when I often enter interstate shuttle buses. They usually look skinny. |
BlowYourMind:I said it. Just look at this one!? SMH. |
She's absolutely right but those suffering from perpetual inferiority complex will arrive now and start bleating like goats ![]() |
How a drug Lord wants others to worship him is what I don't understand. RUBBISH! |

COMPAQ:Yes, a huge population that is equally passionate about premiership amounts much. Yes, we have been fleeced by a company that wants to monopolize premiership in Nigeria like it's their birthright. Why are they against competition? Why would a company increase its prices at a pandemic period like this? Why are they so mien to their agents/dealers that profit on their products are so little? Since they are claiming that football is so expensive that they can hardly break-even, then why not stop buying the rights and show other programs? |
kikero:I have been reading comments here and many of the posts are so annoying. You, just like several others who commented here, has a vested interest in DSTV. It is very apparent because you have strongly supported DSTV and giving all manner of support for them. It is evident that Nigeria is probably the most football (precisely premiership) passionate country in Africa. DSTV even acknowledged that Nigeria is responsible for a good percentage of premiership subscribers in Africa but pays almost the same amount as the rest of Africa combined! DSTV is a Shylock company that has reaped off Nigerians over the years, and they used marchiavelian ways to send competitors out of business. SA does not have a football (premiership) "crazy" population like Nigeria. Even though they have higher GDP per capita, that advantage is definitely outstripped by Nigeria having a population that is about 4 times higher and a more passionate football following. DSTV is so mean as a company that the margin of profit it allows dealers/agents selling their products is so little. Again, ask yourself, why would they increase their price astronomically at a time like this? A company came all the way from SA to fleece us with reckless abandon yet we have Nigerians supporting them!? Many of the comments here supporting DSTV with passion are from their employees, these ones are ready to sell their country just for the peanuts they are earning as salary. SMH! |
slimfit1:Regretting it alone is not enough. He is already old and has limited time to live here on Earth, why don't he come out openly to appologize to Igbos. A Belgian king recently apologized for the attrocities they committed in Congo many years ago. There are many other instances of people appologizing over what they did in the past which on hindsight they realized wasn't good. So, why won't he appologize now he still can so every one can move on. If Nigeria is a country that believes in justice and fairness, they would have made reparations to the Igbos but hate won't allow them. |
God will continue to bless Barth Nnaji for his passion and vision to make the energy sector of Nigeria to work efficiently and effectively like in other civilized countries. When Barth Nnaji was the minister of power, the country made giant strides towards solving its energy needs but immediately he was replaced with regular politicians whose only motivation is how to embezzle money and stash abroad, everything nosedived. At op, I hope the challenge they were facing with EEDC has been resolved or is still lingering? |
jamesversion:It's either you have comprehension challenges or just being plain daft. What is bragging about saying that Asaba's nearness to Onitsha has helped it a lot? Is that not the reality on ground? Even someone living in Ogbomosho thinks he has an opinion on Asaba. |
Not in the least impressed. For God's sake, this is supposed to be an oil city for several decades and these are all you got!? Asaba is even more developed and that is in part due to its nearness to Onitsha. Niger Delta cities ought to be world class cities by now yet all we have are one-horse towns. SMH! |
ChoCho54:I have been around here for about a decade or so, and I have watched as things deteriorate badly but it keeps getting worse by the day. And who the hell is Johnmartus? |
Area4Area:Here comes another one. Really, nairaland has been invaded by very dumb people. The owner of this site should as a matter of urgency, put in place an IQ test that everyone must pass before opening account here. Nairaland used to be a site where intellectuals congregate to exchange ideas and even when they want to be a bigot, they will do so in a smart way and not these disturbing hordes of dumb people. SMH! |
johnmartus:The kind of dumb people that have invaded nairaland of late is a serious threat to the sanity of normal people. Just take a look at the kind of thread and questions a supposed educated person is asking!? Nigeria obviously has a bigger problem than we all assumed. If I was the one who paid your school fees, I would certainly be sueing both you and all the schools you attended. What a collosal waste of resources!! |
razible5384:Amen, and bless you too! |
Jkyoung:My brother, I just read your touching post. You must have it in mind that whatever challenge you're passing through now is only temporary, however you will only make it permanent by committing suicide. Your parents and siblings may never recover fully from the trauma. Whatever problems or challenges you're passing through is not unique to you. Believe me when I tell you that there are so many others out there having it worse. What you need is courage to persevere and to be optimistic that you will make it one day, and naturally most people that dream, believe and persevere always end up becoming successful and same will apply to you! Have it in mind that there is nothing good, beautiful, or appealing in taking ones life, rather it is a cowardly and selfish way to chicken out when you still have the opportunity to give it a fight. NEVER TAKE YOUR OWN LIFE, YOU WILL LIVE TO TELL YOUR STORY! |
BeautifulMind2:To be frank, South West towns are the real definition of sh1thole. Why are they all looking like Timbuktu of 1795 ![]() This is so embarrassing to say the least. SMH. |
omenka:What exactly is your problem? Because it's obvious that something is terribly wrong with you. Someone posted about an indigenous company that is doing exploits and all you say is this trash above!? It's obvious to any neutral observer that you're the one suffering from inferiority complex, but you're free to continue being intimidated by the Igbos and their exploits. Tufiakwa gi! |
