ahnie: That's the spirit. Be consistent,be nice,be well mannered and talk to customers with decorum and watch how your business would expand.
Years ago when I started my fries business,I was laughed at,mocked, degraded by peeps closer to me both online and offline.
Those mocks were the flavours I needed to excel with, and I thank God for today You see all those hoodrats that mocked me,I m way better than them in all ramifications.
Sometimes we need people to mock us so as to propel us to greater heights. Sometimes you gat to learn not to give some flying fvcks
Smart woman. Good choices. Your tomorrow, definitely will be Great.
TEMINIKANSOSO: Guys, reasonable advice. I was actually a guy who has a lot of passion for business in the past, and I have pushed many of my friends to start theirs, but after life happened and I don't have cash and I started teaching to raise funds. I don't have any ounce of PASSION left in me again for any business. As a guy can I start POS business as someone advice or Buy Okada to ride, though I don't like riding bike. Or go into farming. Farming won't be easy as a starter too. No land or anything, it will cost a lot to rent and transport since I am in the city. Anyone should kindly come to my aid. Teaching has drained me, all Ideas I do have has gone.
Addendum: I don't have up to 400, 000
The passion is still there. But due to the previous failures you are just too scared. The fear is not bad, but you must get rid of it fast. All you need is to Trust in the Almighty God and none other. Transport will be my advice to you. However Keke, not Bike. The N400k will go a long way in acquiring a Keke. If you are technically minded then you can safely buy a Nigerian used. If not get a new one on HP using the funds you have as down payment. Hope this helps a bit. Wishing all reading this a healthy and successful 2023. God is Great
WhatCanIsay: Softening stage of propaganda Be ready to see more of this kind of posts in Nairaland within a 2 months time. One will tell you how Putin called him lovingly and confessed his love for Nigeria and Nigerians. Some people wey no de reason well go de buy the gist hook, line and sinker. Lol una never see propaganda in action... welcome
Has this propaganda got something to do with the Ukraine war. Next, I won't be surprised seeing Airplanes in Nigerian international airports offering to airlift Nigerians to Russia. And trust me the planes go over-crowd. Them no go even reason conscription.
aliyuthayo: Nigeria has over a thousand CCNA, but it doesn't reflect in the number of employed CCNA. My point is that most Nigerian trained CCNA are half baked.
So if they are "half-baked" what is the statistics of foreigners in Nigeria employed in CCNA roles. Could it be that there aren't enough wireless networking opportunities for "over 1000 CCNA" or you think these Nigerians are unemployable?
mushroomFarm: You have to buy dollars from Nigeria and bring it here. But let me shock you. Banks in this city, Yakutsk recognizes the Naira. They can change your naira directly to Rubles.
Wow Naira accepted in Russia, then there obviously is No racism. Even South Africa our neighbors Don't accept Naira. Not even in their Standard bank that have operations in Nigeria.
CoronaVirusRelo: When men like Arthur Eze talk, they know the direction where power is heading to. Peter is just day dreaming! Somethings are impossible in life! “NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE” is an adage used to deceive the FOOLISH
Yes, "With God NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE" But to the F.O.O.L who doesn't believe in God, "Somethings are impossible in life"
Boo3nity: Also be observant of what goes on at the backseat of your car while on a ride. Here's why: Last tuesday, I picked a couple (guy n girl) beside the national stadium (Surulere) around 09:30pm. The destination was somewhere inside Kilo (same Surulere). Along the way, I observed the lady was no longer responding to the very weird (diabolic, judging by the sound of it) conversation the guy was initiating. One look at the rear mirror revealed the lady was slumped in a sleep state while the young wasreciting incantations while trying to wave a white hankerchief round her head. I immediately parked, jumped out of the car, opened the lady's side of the car n started vigorously shook her to consciousness, much to the extreme shock of the young man. She came back to her senses and started demanding to know where she was n how she got there. That was when I went for and clutched the young man by the belt and demanded an explanation before he could escape. Passersby saw the unfolding drama n assisted in effectively tying the suspect to the ground. He then confessed the plan was to diabolically take her soul from the body, leave the corpse in the back (pretending to be asleep), drop at a junction kilometres away from the final destination, PAY THE DRIVER A TIDY TIP TO TAKE "MY BABE" TO THE FINAL DESTINATION AND WAKE HER UP WHEN WE ARRIVE AND "JAPA" ASAP. I would have been saddled with the impossible-to-explain challenge of been found with a dead body in the backseat of my car had I not been observant that night. Now you see what I mean?
Onyeka90210: Number one that’s not even his rim, from the picture you can see from the seller tag, The owner is one of the biggest rim dealers on jiji, His user is “Blessed Boy Oil Money” I do not really know OPs motive for this thread to be honest, that’s why I’m left wondering. Why he will screenshot someone’s post of selling full set of rim tyre and come and advertise it as spare here. “I changed cars” Baba wan sha shine. Nothing wey inferiority complex no go cause
The Op is an I.D.I.O.T Now you also found out he might be a scam. His arrogance is beyond understanding. You wasting your energy on him
BigSarah: Close your campaign sir to save lives, even if you don't close it, you're not going to win.
So what's the point sir
No because of innocent people, that'll likely get killed and maimed before and during the elections, so far only LP candidates have been getting attacked and killed, is that not a bad omen for what lies ahead for other candidates and supporters?
But yes Atiku is the best alternative
Hilarious you're obviously new here, run along now!
Your comments above shows you no more about WASCO killing and other LP members recently killed.
Penguin2: They should hold on… Obi is coming to remove subsidy so that their business can become profitable again and the government will also have funds for other critical projects.
But I want Nigerians to remember that we wouldn’t be talking about subsidy by now if not for Tinubu’s malicious and wicked brand of opposition politics.
In January of 2012, President Jonathan removed subsidy and introduced Subsidy Reinvestment Programme (SURE-P) to cushion the effect of the removal of subsidy, but Tinubu raised his army of urchins and led them to occupy Ojota in Lagos while Buhari and Elrufai engaged in their own walk of shame in Kaduna.
Today, that Buhari is the one crying for subsidy removal while Tinubu has lost his voice, and you say these guys are not wicked and evil?
I’m waiting to see Tinubu become president so that I will interrogate the existence of the God of Justice who repays all man according to their deeds.
Tinubu will never reap good for his evils, amen.
So true. The evil that men do lives after them.... Tinubu didn't know he would one day desire (more than anything in his life) to be president
I am a married man and I have six children. When I met with my first wife she was a single mother of 1 girl she was a years 6 months we got married when she was 5 years old. We had 3 children together making them 4 unfortunately we lost her in 2016 during the birth of our twins.
Before she passed on she asks me to promise her that if anything happened to her I should never send her daughter back to her family to experience the same thing she went through in there hands. I have promised her that the child is mine and she will never go anywhere the day she will leave my house will be on her wedding day.
I have since remarried and we are blessed with twins. When I met with my current wife I didn't tell her that my step daughter is not my biological child she knew she was my first child. She has been a part of me ever since she was 1 plus and I didn't think it was necessary telling my wife she was not my child.
I have come to conclusion I will not divorce her but I will rent a 2 bedroom apartment for her to be staying with the twins while I continue staying with the four children in my house I owe the house.
This is where I need your advice nairalanders what do I do in this situation?
Your step daughter is sister to, and shares same blood with your biological children. So she rightfully belongs where her siblings are. Ask your wife "is your step daughter different from the girl she would have happily adopted if she was childless ?"
Your plan to rent another house is good but will not achieve your purpose as your wife will work against it. Let her know of this plan and that if she tries to make it difficult, you won't mind selling your current home and relocating far from her. Then watch her sense reset.

Obianne: Good day, Please I need a CV format for UK intended student. I am a little bit confused. I did sciences (Industrial chemistry BSc (2.2)and environmental management MSc(2.1). I'm actually working as a broadcaster. Please I don't know how to channel my CV. I want to do another MSc in the UK probably on pre registration diagnostic radiography or pre registration nursing. I can also go for MSc biomedical sciences. Kindly assist with any advice whatsoever. I will appreciate. Thank you
MSc Nursing is your best bet then Diagnostic Radiography (IMO) Why pick Pre-registration when there are Schools that offer "with NMC registration" same 2 years. Yes you need to fix your CV to reflect relevant experience especially within the past two years leading to your application to any of the schools.
Nlightind: Thanks. Concerning the first option, going for MSc with just the BSc., do you have any idea of the duration, if possible recommended schools and if social or health care work hours would be required because from search I've been seeing one need have some paid Job or voluntary work hours to gain admission for the MSc course.
And will one be able to get the licence there after the MSc or can I apply for internship there with the BSc..
Sorry for all the questions
Thanks once again
You are required to submit a portfolio of evidence of your experience, paid or voluntary. You have that already, it's not a big deal if you understand the requirement. Some schools need only 450 hours while others ask for 720 hours. So I guess you see the big picture.
pheranmie: Good morning my japa members, my japa journey i most confess has been full of up and down and each time I I feel so Disappointed and discouraged on why did I come here but I can say here is better even though it’s has not been easy. Getting here we had issue of accommodation even up til now me,my wife and the new born baby has stay in a room and manage with an Kenyan woman and paying £700 while we have little access to stuffs cause of too much compliant each time we wanna cook she complains of of bill here and there and so we have to cook once a day despite the fact that my wife is breastfeeding though I will be ungrateful if I did not appreciate the fact that she took us in most especially when the social worker was on us and was about to collect our baby because we were staying at travel Logde before the arrival of the child. The situation got more worse when I discovered the home office has made a mistake in the condition of my brp with the present conditions stating no work no engaging in business and I have reported since last month and notin is forthcoming. Please anyone that can help as regarding
Accommodation (not asking for free) but sometin more better.my wife schools at University of hertfordshire so if I can get sometin within but I won’t mind if it’s far as well as my present place is far as well so I won’t mind and if I can get someone to help on that issue of getting a cash in hand job and any means getting my brp fix I will Still appreciate it .
pocohantas: With the way the UK is fast becoming the 37th state in Nigeria, I knew it was only a matter of time before Nigerians in the UK divided themselves into classes. Old UK and New UK. I came to the UK when UK was UK.
You took this straight out of my mouth. And I see that is the essence of this thread. Op is most likely a first Generation migrant and doesn't know there are families here in Lagos with 4th to 5th Generation migrants in the UK. Their 1st Gen went to the UK say 1870s and have been citizens ever since.
East London since the 90s always feels like suburb of Lagos because everyone seems to speak Yoruba Lol.
If your mindset is "When I have been to the UK, I will return and pepper my village people with foreign baffs" then you are right Op . E don cast ! Those your village people now do mini importation and already using gadgets you probably haven't come across in the UK.
But if your intention is to visit or relocate to the UK for tourism or economic purposes then there couldn't be a better time than now. Go for it. Only an idi0t will go to UK with over 20million in cash and opt for renting instead of home ownership only to run out of his savings in 10 years like the Op tried to paint.
If you changed your N20m into $40k in August and sent it back into Nigeria in November it would exchange back for over N32m today. How then can someone, if not selfish, say "there is no need to Japa"
Lastly, no one has chosen the 3rd world (Nigeria especially) over the first world nations. They always have a 2nd passport ready to jet out at slightest upset.
