Our education system in this country is so so bad. Such a thing happened once when i was going through my kids school homework. I noticed that 3 out of 5 questions given to one of my kids has serious issues. It is either the grammar was so humiliatingly poor or the question asked was out of place.

I got so mad about this. I had to write a note and attached it to the page where the homework was given and cautioned the teacher to improve on her grammar and also give correct and relevant homework to my my kids and others in that school or else i will be forced come and see the owner of the school about the issue. I also asked the teacher to give answer to those irrelevant and incomprehensible things given as homework.

To my surprise, when my daughter came back from school, the sheet containing the homework has been torn off by her teacher.
Its so pathetic how cost of education is getting so high daily in direct proportion to high rate of illiteracy.

I have s friend Marcos (not real name) who has been in a relationship for almost a year with Stella (not real name), and according to Marcos, Stella loves him to bits, he does too.

Infact on his birthday, she almost wrote a documentary on Marcos detailing how he is the sweetest thing God ever made and uploaded it on facebook, Marcos was gushing. Dare t9o say, Marcos was feeling serenaded, of course a lady that can tell the world about you, and plaster your pictures everywhere is actually the one for you.
Just like most of us, Stella has an Etisalat and MTN line, the Etisalat she uses for browsing, the MTN for calls. Two weeks ago, Marcos' cousin called him with a certain Airtel line after which he asked her who the owner of the linbe was, she said its Stella's. Marcos never knew Stella has an Airtel line, he now proceeded to add this Airtel line on Whatsapp, and lo and behold the profile pix was that of Stella and a strange guy picmixed, with the status 'i miss you baby', with the hash tag #StellaBella (not real one). Instinctively, he proceeded to facebook to search for StellaBella, to his utmost surprise, it was her authentic facebook account diffrent from the one he knows (Stenz Stelle) with pictures of the strange guy everywhere, with some of them dating as far back as 2013. He now went back to her normal FB account only to find out that Stella has no single friend except him Marcos.
Last week he visited her in school without informing her, in her room he saw a small Tecno phone which turned out to be the one with the Etisalat line, to his further surprise, he found out that he was the only contact on the phone and whatsapp too, of course, while she uses her strange Airtel line for other people, on this strange Airtel line whatsapp, she also has the strange guy as her profile pics.
Reality started creepoing in, it now dawned on Marcos that his angel is a cruel manipulator. She intelligently created the FB and Whatsapp account for Marcos, using the DPs as illusion, without him knowing that he was the only one seeing those pictures, considering that he was her only contact on both accounts.
Marcos is a very intelligent guy, so we keep wondering how he was played so ruthlessly, and i ask myself why ladies will take such stress upon themselves just to make a fool of an innocent guy, with full benefits attached.
The brutal truth is that Marcos has been living in a fools paradise, just like most of us.

I ve bn enjoying my Android device, Infinix Hot2 Android 5.1.1 for over 2 months I bought d device. Everything works fine. Out of curiosity, just to see what d new operating system has, I upgraded to Marshmallow when I saw d pop-up on my screen.

To b sincere, I feel like hating my device after dis upgrade, phone hangs, battery drains faster, device hearts up fast, browsing is slow. There is nothing fantastic about the OS. In fact, am getting myself a new device b4 dis weekend.

I have come to notice that women are impatient in nature. in other hands, i noticed that they can be extraordinarily patient when it come to the following:

1. Making their hair (fixing, braiding or plaiting) they can sit patiently for long hours if not days to make their hair

2. Dressing for occasions. They can take ages to get dressed for an occasion even wen they r running behind schedule

3. When they sit with their friends on another girl's name. I mean when girls are gossiping, they will never remember that any other thing matters. They can be exhibit high level of patience.

Children are special gift from God and He placed it as one of the highest responsibilities that parents must undertake.
Every parent will love to see their children become what they want them to be. We pray that our children will be like those model kids we see on some movies, TV shows or other places. Those model kids don’t just woke up and become what they are. Some people (parents) modeled them to what we see in them.
It pains me when most parents failed to raise their kids the right way. There are certain things we do which we may think to be right when in the actual sense, we are inculcating bad habit/characters into our kids.
I feel so sorry for some kids the way their parents talk to them especially when the parents think they are correcting them for the wrong things they did. In as much as I agree that some kids can be so difficult, I also think we should not threaten our kids while trying to correct their bad habits. Every mistake by our kids must not be followed with harsh punishment. I hear some parents scolding their children with words like; I will so deal with you that you will start wondering if am your mother. I must kill you today and bury u and no one will ask me any question and other harsh words like dat. Some will go ahead and curse their children with such curses that will even shock devil himself. Try to use moral questions sometimes to make ur kids really see how their actions are. Punish when it is necessary.
You end up training your child to be hardhearted and wicked, a candidate of cultism, terrorist, street nuisance etc cos of the harsh training u have already rooted in him form early life.
Try to bless your children often. Make them see you as Father or mother, mentor, dependant, and sometimes as a friend. Do you know that when your kids are scared of you, they tend to find succour from outside which may be detrimental to both them and the family. The model kids u compare your kids with were not treated the way u r treating your kid. Money apart, I have seen many wonderful kids from a very poor background. If u r waiting for money to come for u to start training them the right way, u may be doing dat at the expense of their good characters. Money can only brush up their physical appearances, it cannot change the inner person (the inbuilt character).
Let us start today and raise kids that we and the world will be so proud of. God bless us all.

A resident of Ukaegbu Road, Ogbor Hill in Aba area of Abia State in an attempt to defend himself from been robbed has bitten off the ear lobe of an alleged armed robber, Chijioke Ikechi.
