(Photo by Robyn Beck / AFP) Burna Boy who had Nigeria buzzing after being nominated for the Grammy Awards in the World Best Music Album category has lost to Beninese singer-songwriter, Angelique Kidjo. The Grammy Award for Best World Music Album is an honour presented to recording artists for quality albums in the world music genre. Angelique Kidjo beat Burna Boy, Altin Gün, Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley, Nathalie Joachim & Spektral Quartet to win the award. This is her fourth Grammy win in nine nominations, first of those nominations came in 1995. Her first win came in 2007 in the Best Contemporary World Music category. She also picked a Grammy each in the Best World Music Album category in 2014 and 2015 for the albums Eve and Sings respectively. Apart from winning, Angelique Kidjo also performed during the pre-telecast segment of the ceremony on Sunday evening. Kidjo is noted for her diverse musical influences and creative music videos. She is fluent in five languages: Fon, French, Yorùbá, Gen (Mina), and English. African Giant is Burna Boy’s fourth studio album. It was released on July 26, 2019, features Kidjo on the song “Different”. The album also has guest appearances from Zlatan, Jorja Smith, Jeremih, Serani, M.anifest, Damian Marley, Future and YG. Why will they (US) take interest in countries with little or no Economic values but rather protect and even form alliances with similar countries with Economic prowess (e. g Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Lebanon, Brunei)? what did US stand to gain in destabilizing Nigeria with a budget not up to a state department in the US, that they won't get in 100 folds in UAE? or why will US sponsor Alshabaab in Kenya when Kuwait or Saudi will give them over million times what they want in Kenya? 3. Let's assume US are fallible of the two above, Why can't the terrorist direct their attacks on the US who is the alleged culprit? What concern an aid worker in Nigeria with a supposed crime of USA in Syria? Or what connection is their between the cartoon of Mohammed in the Scadinavia and the massacre in Northern Nigeria? John Ameh, Abuja President Muhammadu Buhari has praised the President of African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, the Board of Governors and the members of staff on the increase of the bank’s capital from $93billion to $208bn. Who else is not surprised that most of the negative comments above are from people from a particular section of the country. They always ignore their scars and raise concern over others eczema. Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham have been called up by England for the Euro 2020 qualifiers in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria but there is no place for Dele Alli or Jesse Lingard. People from the other side of the Niger are naturally emotional just like the Arabs and less logical and tactical. it's in their DNA. I don't get. please tell us who was Obj's opposition and inform us if Tinubu, Gani Fawehinmi, Falana etc and even Afenifere who are against him are Junkun or Tivs. I guess Yorubas also hated Atiku when they provided him their political platform ACN to contest against Yaradua in 2007, Why didn't he opt for APGA? Records/history has shown that the east has form more alliance and allegiance to the North than any other region, still you won't see others calling them traitors, betrayals and all sort of names because of their political decision, but despite a substantial 45% of the west voting for pdp in 2015 and even more westerners voting for Atiku THAN the easterners(with an igbo VP) in 2019, the wailing of the bush babies won't still stop in lumping a whole tribe and region and calling them all sort of names. it's also on record that the most vocal critics of this government are Yorubas, but how can you pacify a hate-filled bush baby? Even when Obj was the president his greatest opposition were his people. Amaechi, Akpabio, El Rufai etc are polical merchants sourcing for patronage, we see them as such here and we don't ascribe them a demi-god status like you guys do. When the Yorubas aided Jonathan in taking his rightful place as president after the demise of Yaradua and helping his reelection in 2011 where were you? So if a majority of them decides otherwise in 2015, why can't you respect their choice and move on? And just to let you know the Yorubas love not only igbokwe, idumodu, akabueze but every law abiding citizens living in our domain provided they live by the terms and conditions of their host, and the immigration demographics attest to that. It's a one way traffic from the East to the West. Yorubas don't hate Atiku (we have no reasons to hate him), that more Yorubas preferred Buhari to Atiku doesn't translate to hate. When you go to Inec office to register for your voters card, your bio data and biometry was captured and stored somewhere, when you get accredited on election day your informations were verified from somewhere. That's the Accreditation (Back-end) server. The bone of contention here is the pseudo Inec result server. |

Nothing in Reno Omokiri's Inec memo revealed that Results were transmitted, the number of accredited voters is all that was transmitted to the server according to the memo. Accredited voters and Results are two different things. If Atiku can't argue his case on a polling unit by polling unit bases then he's only chasing shadows. Atiku will do well by substituting his current lead counsel (Izoukwu) with that of Adeleke (Ikpeazu). Ikpeazu argued issues and brought in prepared witnesses not this macabre dance Izoukwu is doing. If Olanipekun can win the Rivers 2015 election for Wike on the bases that Card readers are not enshrined in the constitution, then this server nonsense will be a rollercoaster for him.
