Esthesr2019: Hello Everyone
I'm new in the group and I please need your advice on my situation. I have a diploma in Business management( With just 8 modules) an in january 16 i applied for a study permit for a Diploma in Business management ( with 17 modules) in Toronto school of management I got a refusal in Jan 30 reason purpose of visit.
I ordered for tha CAIPS NOTES they stated "On the basis of the documents provided, not satisfied that the applicant will leave Canada at the end of his period of residence under subsection 216 (1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, given the reason for his visit. The applicant has received an offer of registration for a program which represents a very important financial investment given the income of his country of residence and which is not credible in relation to his age, his previous personal background and his family situation". Whereas my tution fee was $12500 i already paid $3,250 and my sponsor which is my dad had $31,500 in his account and i had also attached his properties documents and cars.
This time arround i bettered my SOP stating all the reasons why the course assuring i will return for i have a job waiting for my after, gave all my jobs referencing letters, payement slip, future employement letter etc. My Dad's bank statement got bigger with $52,000 note that he is an entrepreneur his money are from his activities for the pass 2 years so his bank statement shows his many entries so i also attached his business document even his business bank statement all possible document concerning him and me i included.
Now these are the 3 reasons they gave
• I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated purpose in coming to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the length of your proposed stay in Canada. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.
I'm shook because it doesn't make sense i thnik of changing my course to human resource management and changing my city as well to go to a less popula and populated province.
PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP AND SUGGESTION PLEASE FOR MY NEXT APPLICATION BECAUSE I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS WRONG
THANKS IN ADVANCE Sorry about your refusals. However I noticed quite a lot of mistakes you made in your previous applications; 1. Your proposed program doesn't show progression to your previously acquired certificate. I.e you have a diploma and going for another diploma with more credit isn't a credible reason hence "Purpose of visit" and that's why the vo doesn't understand what you stand to gain from the program. 2. I am sorry but most times it doesn't matter what's in your account. That isn't the only factor considered. So your dads balance improving from the Last time doesn't mean much. 3. The number of siblings you have, the type of account your dad used and the economic situation in relation to your proposed program says a lot. 4. I will advice you pay a full semester tuition if possible rather than a deposit. 5. You need to be very careful with your next application. There shouldn't be any trace of desperation and the choice of program is very important. I will suggest you try Thompson rivers university post baccalaureate business program that shows a direct progression from your previous diploma. Lastly, order gcms note which I believe will be similar to the last. You need a new direction, a strong sop and loe. All the best. |

nochyks87: Morning all.
How can one upgrade his personal SOA though I have a salary account which did not have a substantial balance.
1. Can money be put and withdrawn over a period of time say 4 or 5 months? Cause I know putting a lump sum could raise red flags
OR
2. Should I create a joint account with my wife and deposit money into it as savings account. If I can, then should the statement show only the balance or show months of inflow and outflow?
Thirdly, my dad is late and owned an engineering company. My elder sis and mom were the directors of the company which has two big properties of which am residing in one with my family presently. I discussed with them yesterday after my refusal and they concluded to transfer the properties to me to serve as my personal assets. Do I need power of attorney or transfer of lease ??
Pls @ gurus and anyone with ideas or experiences your input is highly required. God bless The first advice I give people reapplying is to avoid rushing the next application. You don't want to appear desperate in your next application. Secondly, it is important to ensure your application correlates with the previous application, you don't want them thinking why didn't he/she attach it in the first application etc. You need your gcms note to guide you accordingly. You can't also be transferring cash in and out just to show good credit the funds need to be retained that's why it's called a "savings account"and also for any additional documents you'll be adding ensure you state reason why it wasn't in the previous application. All the best. |

Someone should please give me a step by step guide on how to apply and what I need before applying to a school.
Msc Psychology
Thanks You need your education credentials (waec certificate, Bsc certificate, transcript) and sometimes your passport data page. When you check the schools website there are step to step guide on applying. |

justpinket: hello house, am new here and i commend you for all the comments here . it as help me alot but i have a request to make ..
I just applied for admission at the New Brunswick community college and would like anyone who has information about the process to please help with any useful information that might come in handy as i continue the process.
so far, i have applied online, made payment, sent waec scratch card details and transcript is in process..
i hope to hear from you
Regards, I hope for a successful application. You have to ensure your proposed program and your previous work experience and degree is well aligned. After which you can start taking care of the necessary documents you'd need. You have to choose a designated sponsor(s), get your academic documents, sop and supporting documents that backs up your case. It is useful getting informations here on how to go about your application but be careful not to copy everything document for documents. Because your case might/will be different from other applications bearing factors like age, relationship, job prospects etc. All the best. |

nochyks87: Good evening all.
Got my refusal letter as well as my biometric correspondence letter today. This is my timeline:
School starts: Sept 3, 2019 App date: 6th April,2019 Biomerics request: 7th April,2019 Biometrics done: 17th April,2019 Upfront medicals: 2nd April,2019 Biometric correspondence: 21st May,2019. Refusal letter : 21st May, 2019
I would like to kindly reach out to the gurus in the house to assist in anyway they can. Am about to order for my gcms notes. I have been reading all your suggestions and experiences concerning this study permit. I believe the right minds for an approval are all inside this wonderful platform. Am pumped up for refiring. To all those refused don't be downcast give it a GO again!!!! Attached is the refusal letter.
Thanks alot folks. God bless you all. Sorry, about your refusal. These sam 3 reasons as become a common refusal ground lately. However, nothing is impossible. When you get the gcms note it will point you in the right direction. You will also need the right supporting documents. The only vague refusal reason here is "travel history" it accompanies most refusals. The purpose of visit might be due to a poor and vague sop, proposed program not aligning with previous degree or work experience and also the VO not convinced the cost of program justifies the benefit etc... |

Damilolaoluwa: Please a friend of mine forgot to attach her birth certificate and she submitted her application on line last week. Please is there any way she could forward it via mail to the embassy? Your friend can forward additional documents through Webform. Find the webform page on the cic website and verify the consulate dealing with the application (most likely kenya) and attach the file and provide uci number and the application number. P.s: The birth certificate is extremely secondary and doesn't affect the outcome of her application. |

sunkyrazzy: Hello here,I am new to this place and i have gone through a few things on the thread but i still have some questions. Firstly,I'm a B.Tech Degree Holder graduated with a second Class lower and i'll like to have my masters in Canada. So i was told by my Agent that its almost impossible for me to get a Masters with my G.PA so he adviced me to go for a certificate course in a Given university in canada, that once i do that i'm done i'll be able to apply for masters in that school,I'm asking if this is true? And secondly the school does not have any Certificate course in relation to the course i have a degree in but they do have for a masters degree...Will i be admitted?? Due to the requirements of Canadian institutions, it is almost impossible to get admitted to sn msc program with a low gpa. On the contrary it is not impossible to get a program that will prove effective and show progression in your studies. Don't go for any "random certificate" seek programs like advanced diploma, Graduate certificate and any pre masters program. Also not every program serves as a ladder for Msc programs so do well to conduct your research before applying. And never make reference to a poor cgpa for your choice of program in canada on your sop or any other form. That is extremely important. |

Alezie: Please what does it mean when you receive a Biometric correspondence before a Medical request, application is 6 weeks. Ideally a biometric Validity correspondence should be received immediately after your biometrics exercise. But due to haphazard notifications on the cic portal it comes at a different time. However, the recent trend is if it comes after a passed medical then it is deemed positive and followed by Passport request most times amd if it comes before then it is maybe not a good sign( please this is based on recent trends) I will ask that you stay positive and brace yourself for any eventuality. |

There isn't any link between chemical engineering and supply chaim management. Even if you wanted to go ahead it will take serious convincing. Especially with your previous academic track record.
Try and contact your school if they can give you your transcript and what you currently do in russia matters in applying for a program. If you are also not done with whatever program you are vying for there then I really can't advice other than you complete it before thinking of Canada.
The age factor can be nullified if you have a vibrant reason for going to Canada and can prove to a VO why you didn't complete your program et all. |

Nonso16: Hello House, this tutorial is meant for ONLINE APPLICANTS ONLY If you experiencing some form of Delay because of the documents you want to upload is larger than the maximum file size given to us by CIC, well, this worked for me and I am sure it will work for you, Notwithstanding if you have a better Method of doing this please Kindly Share. No knowledge is wasted HERE.
So, first of all, we know there are uploading sections for some documents already. Example 1. Letter of acceptance (FROM YOUR SCHOOL) 2. International Passport 3. Digital photo 4. Medical
All the above listed has a particular uploading area, Read well so you don't make mistakes. I also want to believe that even if you scan any of the above documents it won't exceed 4mb.
Now for the financial Support section, If you are confused about which document should be in this section then you have to go back on some Pages where Qudkom made a detailed post about this.
Now let us get started.
You are advised to Merge EVERY DOCUMENT relating to the finance aspect of your application together, Now If you want to do that, goto Sejda dot com, and Merge those files and download them back on Your System.
Now here comes the Trick to Compressing our document, go to google and download PrimoPDF, Install and close it.
Open your downloaded finance document, Hold "Ctrl + P" like you want to print, It will take you to another interface where you will be able to select your printing options, Now Select Printer and you will see a drop-down menu, Now Select PrimoPDF and Click on Print.
Wait for the progress bar to be done, Mind you it's not printing but trying to interface with the PrimoPDF software, When that's done, the PrimoPDF software will Popup and You will click on CREATE PDF, it will ask you to save it. FINISH
That's the magic ...
NOTE: The picture Quality might reduce a little.
@Qudkom @sillysassysally @Bracha @Viper and also to all the gurus out there YOU ARE THE REAL MVP. God Bless you

yinkansola: Good evening guys.... am about applying for my study permit and my sponsor which happens to be my dad has two accounts, will I have to tender both statements of accounts since there is money in both accounts Secondly I applied for a post graduate program which fee is around 16,000cad, the school asked me to pay my first semester fee which am about to pay,so my sponsor's account will be left with 3million,will that enough to tender? The amount available will not be enough. 3million wont suffice especially with the fact that that you still have living expenses in the tune of 10kcad to show. Bearing in mind that your father most likely as dependents under him it might raise concerns and the VO might be skeptical over the ability of your father to meet up with future expenses. So if possible I'll advice you work on the account you're presenting and if possible your dad can present other financial documents(stocks, shares, bonds, properties etc) to further boost your application. |

Just last week Friday(exactly a week after submission) I found out that my upfront medicals has been updated to passed. My worry is that it also shows that the eligibility checks has started alongside background checks. Let me also state that I applied with two other friends, we all got funding and we all have same updates. Is this updates normal? Is it following a particular pattern? I am worried and confused because none of us have received any mail from them. Kindly put me thru. Thanks. It is perfectly normal for eligibility and background check to run simultaneously. Just keep hoping and praying everything goes according to plan and nothing spikes in the rudimentary checks. All the best. |

You can choose whichever route is more comfortable for you. However if you have a lot of supporting documents that would need to be properly narrated then the online route is a good choice. On the contrary, you can head down to any vfs office to complete your application (paper route). Familiarise yourself with the required imm forms to fill and how to go about with the right documents to compile if you haven't done that. Lastly, try and provide the details of what you intend submitting so you can get advice on plugging the loopholes. |

BILAL05: My Ogas please , let's brain storm on this case. I submitted my application via the online platform. I got a response within three weeks with a refusal letter. The clause they gave was : "based on my personal assets and financial status". I applied alone, my wife, daughter and a dependent are staying back.
Home ties :
Child and dependant birth certificates Marriage certificate Certificate of Occupancy for my landed property Family photographs
Academic qualifications:
Bsc certificate Certificate courses Neco Transcript National I. D card Conditional offer letter and letter of acceptance Payment of school fees receipt
Proof of Employment :
..Certificate of Business registration ..Work ID
Financial documents :
Personal statement of account (8millon) It's the same account I use for my business (total credit of the account for four month was 30million) . Tax clearance certificate . House rental receipts. Vehicle particulars of my car and wife's.
Other document :
Upfront medicals Completed and signed IMM1294 E, IMM 5645 E and IMM 5257 E forms. Receipt of initial registration deposit . Police character certificate . International passport. Passport photographs National population commission : Attestation of birth Age declaration affidavit NYSC discharge certificate
I have ordered for my GCMS notes. But I need serious review from you guys. Sorry about your refusal. 1. What documents did you use to support your business establishment other than tax receipt and cac certificate.... any licence or registration from a regulatory body, asset valuation, does your company have an online presence? Etc. 2. The transactions in the month of submission, did it tally with the previous months? And whats the longest duration the funds stayed in the account? 3. Your company account show any overdraft or loan facility? 4. Your income in your place of work tally with the documents you provided,? Because the vo might be wondering how you earn let's say 100k per month and have millions in your company account. And might feel you overstated hence "Personal assets" and think you're just looking to hype your portfolio for visa purposes. |

The school hasn’t requested for tuition yet so we are yet to pay. I asked for information on tuition payment and they said payment hasn’t started. Also I can’t have any proof of employment or running a business as I am applying for the bachelors programme after secondary school. I only just interned at a place while I wait. In my statement of purpose I have explained that I want to return to nigeria to do something in line with where I interned. It’s all IT related and somewhat of a big deal. Does this help or what else do I have to do? Yes that's a good idea. Let your mum be a cow sponsor. But have your sister if possible transfer your living expense and 1st semester tuition. Also I will advise a statement of explanation to verify your sister is single with no dependents. Also throw in one or two family pictures past and present especially the ones where you two were doing silly things. Your employment prospects are very weak. You need more effort. |
