The first prerequisite to get into any med school in Canada is having a previous Bachelors degree. Most schools do not admit international students, and those who do have only about 1% quota for international students.
Yes, there's a quota system that prioritises students from the province where the school is located.

Summary: It is EXTREMELY difficult to get into a Canadian med school from outside Canada. If your friend doesn't have a degree already, please switch to another science program like Anatomy, etc. Upon completion, he/she can pursue med school.

Other prerequisites include: MCAT, CASPER, some specific courses, essays, etc. These vary from school to school.

Congratulations! Abuja VFS is quite faster than Lagos, it takes between 1-2 weeks max, while Lagos takes between 3-4 weeks. Though you may have to pay a transmission fee if you didn’t do your biometrics there.

Yes, I did. I made reference to it and also the previous biometrics.
I simply searched google for the MP of my locality. You just need to type in your postal code. The name will come out with a link to their website and email. I sent an email stating the urgency of my situation with full application details.

After medicals was done and uploaded, eligibility started on the 22nd of December.
Then silence again...

Contacted my MP 2 weeks ago and she said file was in Kenya, eligibility started. No more info at the moment but I should contact them if I don't hear back after 3 months.

Question: How long is the average time for passport transmission and getting it back? Is it still done through dhl? I'm trying to book her flight so I want to work with an estimate. Please help with recent timelines. Thank you.

Hi, you do not apply for work permit via VFS. You apply to IRRC and they will decide which visa office will process your application. The only business you have with VFS is biometrics and passport transmission

Anyway, Ghana visa office has a reputation for being slow. Don't even pray for Ghana. Nigeria doesn't have a visa office either. Just submit your application.

Meanwhile, I am a bit worried that this company may be trying to scam you. Be careful and try to verify this employment you got.

*Decision to travel* : Hubby always had the dream and I bought it after we got married. Finally decided to begin the EE journey officially in January 2019.

IELTS (1st and Only Attempt): February 19, 2019.
Got 9,8.5,8,7 in R,L,S,W.
I practised with the BC test taker materials for reading, ieltsbuddy for listening. I didn't practice speaking and writing but the grace of God saw me through.
Hubby's IELTS: Band 6

ECA: ICES for hubby and me.
ICES miraculously evaluated my UNIPORT degree even after they had written me to say they won't.

I have an MSc, less than 30 years and married with more than 3 years work experience.

*AOR* : 10, July, 2019
*Biometrics/Medicals passed* : 2, Aug,2019
*ADR* : Aug, 2nd. I was asked to rescan my international passport. I later realised that the one I uploaded initially had some parts cut off (you can't be too careful with your application)
*1st Ghost update* : 3rd August: ADR changed to- we are reviewing the additional documents you submitted.
*Silence* ....
*2nd Ghost update* : 3rd Dec, 2019 - nothing changed
*3rd Ghost update* : 4th Dec, 2019 - ADR changed to NA
*PPR* :
*Travel history* : PA-None. Spouse visited Ghana twice.

*Documents Uploaded*
Education: ielts results, university degree certificates, ECA reports.

Marriage: Marriage certificates (church and court).

Proof of name change: newspaper advert, court affidavit.

Employment: reference letters in IRCC format, 6 months bank statements for two of my employments, and pay slips for one employment that I was paid in cash.

*POF* : 6 months treasury bill. Hubby transferred the money to my account and I bought the TB.
So, I uploaded my TB certificate, hubby's account statement showing the transfer only, reference letters from the three banks I bank with and LOE.

Note: Let a second eye go through your application before you submit.
You can't be too careful.

My application journey was powdered by grace, I literally saw the help of God at every stage.

If God has said it, it will surely come to pass. It can only be delayed for a while.

I was advised that such payment is made using current account after i made several unsuccessful attempts on savings.
My payment did'nt fly using savings account until i moved the money to current and it pulled through at the first attempt.

PS: It's a Uniport Masters degree and it was evaluated under 10 weeks.

My question is, how do I get my money back from WES?
I've paid in full and already sent my transcript. The WAEC hasn't gotten to them yet.

Is it possible to get a refund no matter the amount?

If you're talking about filling out your online application, then I don't think there's a place for university address. There's only a part for name of institution.
The only address I'm aware of is your own address, where you would want them to mail your report to.
The University email, address and phone number is contained in your transcript, so if they need to reach them, they can get the info from there.

Just follow the step by step application procedure on the website and you'll be fine.
