the worse they can do is cut off aid, which they should do. But it won't make a major difference, theres still plenty of oil money to steal

he said he joined west brom under the same circumstance, i don't know why people are crucifying him all of a sudden. His club have done very badly, if the guy wants to leave let him go! its not like he has much time left
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Peter Odemwingie Refused Entry In To QPR by queensmith: 5:43am On Feb 01, 2013
I've read through the comments and still don't see it.

I'm no football specialist and forgive my ignorance, but how can we not be sure Odemwingie didn't receive some form of assurance from redknapp before visiting QPR?

I've heard the guy is a complete pleb but i don't believe even he can be that sillly. How do we know the has been no backdoor chitter chatter?

And is it not common for players to force themselves to other clubs?

This just sounds like a misunderstanding.
TV/MoviesRe: Genevieve Nnaji's Scenes Cut Out Of Half Of A Yellow Sun by queensmith: 5:22am On Feb 01, 2013
bonysmile: I like Genevieve; I think dat she's so sweet…
U r sweet n beautiful but honestly speaking, Genevieve is not a great actress as people erroneously refer. She can hardly conceal her true-life character in her drama roles. Genevieve is a very proud and arrogant person; it still shows no matter what role she plays. I've never met her in person, but many fans of nollywood agree with this.
shocked shocked

what a pile of nonsense!! Genny is the BEST nigerian actress, the most versatile actress to hit nigerian screens and all youve written is bs!!

I've never seen someone take over the role of a school girl, excel at playing a village girl one minute to playing a powerful business woman to playing a slave. She is brilliant!
Better than most hollywood actresses in fact. definitely 5 million times better than the rubbish casted for twilight and 20 million times better than tonto the pleb everyone keeps making noise about.

Please learn to differentiate between movies and reality! You've never met her, how do you know she is an arrogant person? Nigerians can ruin business for someone no be small kmt

FamilyRe: Think Before You Send Your Kids Abroad by queensmith: 6:00pm On Jan 28, 2013
damiso: Maybe not today but i would prefer Queens college of the 80's 90'sto Skinners of the 80's 90's.My personal opinion.
the successful Skinners graduates that I know of graduated early 90s, so I disagree with you. It's now that the school isn't so great, and the borough have just finished spending 180 million pounds refurbishing them, these ladies now learn with Ipads, bring me a college in Nigeria that BEATS THAT!!!

I'm not denying many girls that went there are a waste of space, but its nothing to do with their education, they would've wasted space if you sent them to Roedean, its more to do with the demographics than the standard of education.

Obviously compared to wealthier parts of the UK the school is very poor, but I insist compared to any school in nigeria the standards are tops, the money spent there alone will build 15 schools in Abuja grin grin grin
FamilyRe: Think Before You Send Your Kids Abroad by queensmith: 5:45pm On Jan 28, 2013
you've started again, who the hell is otuekehuh

Debosky, the standards of education in Nigeria is different, learning is very independent back home and teachers are not faced with the level of discipline required here. They sleep with the students (on a very large scale, im not talking a 16 yr old runnin off to France with a maniac but of 12 yr olds trading sex for grades), the children are abused by students and teachers, many forced to do hard labour and the schools are poorly equipped. I attended a state school in Nigeria i'm not talking out of my arse here.

Attending any school is a gamble, but you can be very well reassured that in the UK you child will receive a decent education. Whether your child is in the right state of mind to take advantage of it is his/her problem.

Working toilets, windows that shut and roofs that cover the ceiling is even enough for me to tell anyone Skinners is outright better than Queens College (i assume QC is a state school, and one of the most reputable ones in Nigeria), you only need common sense and experience of both situations to understand this.

I'm not speaking for the whole international community, as far as schools in the UK are concerned I can vouch for them.
RomanceRe: Talking With Your Ex by queensmith: 5:34pm On Jan 28, 2013
you know the biggest weapon anyone can have with their ex's is communicating, when you shut them out, it gives the illusion you are in a much better place and simply have no need for them anymore. that creates a terror of regret. At the same time when you do keep in touch, both of you are relaxed and sometimes even feel relief at the end of the relationship (if you are a vindictive being like yours truly you never want that, you want him to forever regret not being with you cheesy)

There are x's I simply cannot stand, and they always call, i speak to some past *ehem* I honestly think I only keep them around for potential *queensmith moments* or if mr boyfriend misbehaves. wink

If you are in a serious relationship I think you should avoid it, its pointless, unless you both have a business or some other form of shared interests that communicating will benefit its unnecessary, let everyone just move on with their lives.
FamilyRe: Think Before You Send Your Kids Abroad by queensmith:
skinners is a useless school, but its what you make of it sha, i know doctors, investment bankers teachers consultants and lawyers that went to skinner. Thats what the uk is all about.
Though I was born here I didn't have the best of care, didn't have my parents around and was forced into full fledge adulthood by the age of 16, I did however have brains, the drive and motivation to be the best at whatever I did. So i ended up in an equally useless college and came out with 4 As at A levels including maths and physics (something that til date NOBODY at that college has done), and with relatively poor waec grades got into a russel group university. I do fully acknowledge the effects of good parenting and solid support on a child's outcome but I don't offer that excuse to Africans. Because we have better potential.

I won't blame skinners for the ops misfortune, there is alot you could have done with yourself, you simply didnt have the ambition to do it. What stopped you from getting a part time job? How important is eating KFC for your future?

People shouldnt be discouraged from using opportunities to send their kids here, trust me even skinners is better than the best state school in Nigeria, they have working labs running water and teachers with degrees, what more do you need?

The op is complaining about walking from pembury to stamford hill? What a brat, she should have just stayed in Nigeria, the UK government wasted money on this ingrate, do you want me to even get started on the kilometer walks we did in naija to fetch a bucket of water? Carrying a bucket on your head and a keg in your hand whilst dodgin all these villagers and the food they have sacrificed to their gods? I suggest you DPMO!
RomanceRe: Are Guys Scared Of Dating Or Marrying Working-Class Ladies? by queensmith: 7:04am On Jan 16, 2013
ahhhhhh, nigerian men + inferiority complex = constantly bangin on abt being the head.

Meanwhile, i havent met many men who brag the success of their relationships being purely down to him being the head. Being the head probably matters more to some men than having a successful relationship. Probably because it's their only chance to finally lead something. . . . . You need to start thinking of other ways to take up a leadership position if one will really make up for the shortfalls in life. . . . . . .

I assume those that bang on about it like puppies are still very young and equally unwise, you don't hear such nonsense in adult conversations. . . .head indeed, in this day and age. That marriage is doomed.

better start heading your mentality into the right direction, thats a good place to start

CrimeRe: Young Doctor Shot Dead In Lagos by queensmith: 12:09pm On Jan 12, 2013
im glad ruggedman tweeted, people should know the reality of life in Nigeria and push the government to be more effective. Especially when it comes to security, there will be no point looking for investment up and down when investors know security is a joke in Nigeria.

How can you confidently shoot someone in broad daylight in the middle of the street with potentially hundreds of people watching? In a very busy area? Where are these guns even coming from?

People have many questions to answer, they shouldn't let this case go. Let the police become useful for a change and fish out this mans killers!

HealthRe: UNIBEN Denounces Prof's HIV/AIDS Cure Claim by queensmith: 6:52am On Jan 10, 2013
what greed? People can't just come out and start making claims out of the blue- thats not how the medical field works, for one if the universities resources were used then the university should have been consulted, for all we know the professor came about this cure (if his claims are remotely true) through illegal and unethical means. There are procedures for everything, we can't just do what we like. How about patents? Without the universities protection what is stoppin a spy from stealing it? Cmon we need to be sensible

Christianity EtcRe: Gossip And Hypocrisy: Which Is The Hardest Sin To Avoid by queensmith: 3:35pm On Jan 09, 2013
Both are very easy to avoid, just make sure you always mean what you say and avoid talking about business that isn't your own.
Hold the same standards for yourself you do for others. Its not difficult
RomanceRe: How Much Of Your Past Should Your Lover Know? by queensmith: 3:32pm On Jan 09, 2013
I don't think they have to know anything, I mean if they ask and have reasonable reasons for asking, you should always tell the truth. Including saying when your not comfortable disclosing something.

Her race doesn't change her upbringing, one has to be retarded to live in a yoruba city for long and not be able to speak the language....being black doesn't all of a sudden plant language abilities in your brain. Neither does being mixed raced prevent it. Chinese people who haven't even been there for long and have no nigerian relatives speak yoruba, talkless of those someone with a yoruba parent

No wonder Nigerian men make poor fathers, the standards are soo low.

You don't find many men thanking their wives for breastfeeding do you?
