Romance › Re: What Do Girls Bring To The Table, Really? by queensmith: 7:22pm On May 15, 2012
luckgames: Relationship is a partnership = transaction ( Business)
Men Please see marriage as a partnership of a business transaction
If you fail to see marriage or relationship as a business transaction
You are going to pay off
You can never be satisfied viewing a relationship as a partnership because someone will always end up with the short end of the deal. If the rewards of the partnership were to be more sentimental than always trying to maintain a degree of profit then it is completely different.

If life was as simple as 'plug in some money' 'be gratified' then there won't be many struggles. bottom line is there is no successful relationship with your point of view. There are just miserable people and their manipulators.

pendo89: May I ask why you have this kind of mentality? A couple agrees to have a child and carry the pregnancy together. The woman physically, emotionally while the man emotionally and financially.I have never heard of compensation btwn couples in regard to child bearing.
If a man chooses to pamper you, allow him to do so out of love but don't view it as compensation,No I find it so wrong cz you are trading what is supposed to be the natural order of things in a relationship.
Besides no amount of compensation can equal the joy of having a planned for child.
I think you believe it's punishment cz of the weird stories you may have heard from women? Or what you have seen perhaps.
Wish u luck though.
Men are in no way subject to any physiological inconvenience during pregnancy or childbirth. It doesn't make sense for you to claim so. How do you carry a pregnancy financially? And how does it differ when iI already have money? Well I've always made it very clear, I place a high value on myself and I won't have anybody's child for nothing. When I do I must be sure he is worth the time and and hassle, this is where most women get their choices wrong. Choosing any partner rather than one that understands the value of what you are giving and the stress you are going through when you decide to have a family. If a man doesn't understand that he can never be worth the time.
On point! Sad that this has to be another non-nigerian girl!

Bla bla bla. Coming from a public dog I expect nothing less! Did you say very tiring? How so, since you are the unrepentant feminist? You should be a lesbo to know that I have 'tendencies'. Lol. I have been with more women than the number of my fingers and toes combined, and all they do is nag nag nag. Aside the free sex there's nothing to 'enjoy' so far hence the questions. Do me a favor and stick your finger in your anuss and lick it thoroughly afterwards. I don't give a shitty fcck what you think! bwahahahaha. arindin oshi!
You see now your response only further proves my point, you have been with many women to try and prove something to yourself, the truth is you do not enjoy women. You are a gay man, just own it and embrace your sexuality. Life is too short.

Please, help me say it again. HE IS ON A BREAK FROM MY FORMER ROOMMATE!

I'm not worried about him cheating with me. I'm only worried about playing with the enemy's toy. Especially since she grovelled and begged (like the sorry slut she is) for him not to leave her. He said he got tired of her possesiveness.
Anyways, haven't seen him yet. I'm fattening him up for the slaughter.
Men abound everywhere but right now, I got appetite for that dude alone. You would too if you were to set eyes on him.
Lol!

pendo89: huh undecided compensation for giving birth to your own child? You make it sound like a punishment.Perhaps I didn't understand what you meant.

It's good to have a willing paying your bills and stuff.Question is,will you be able to rise up, move on and maintain the same standard once he's out of your life? The reason why I believe a woman needs to be self sufficient is for her own good. Most of us unfortunately as shortsighted.
We enjoy fully today without preparing/insuring the future.
A calamity can strike any min and then what?
Yes compensated for giving birth to OUR child! Thats exactly what I meant. It is a physiological punishment I dont care what anybody says. I will be rewarded compensated pampered cherished etc etc etc.
Romance › Re: What Do Girls Bring To The Table, Really? by queensmith: 7:44pm On May 14, 2012
You see the problem with Nigerians, they are very selfish people. Everything is transactional, everything is a trade everything is a competition. Everything a gender war on who is the greater/stronger/important sex. Very tiring.

@you are obvioiusly battling with homosexual tendencies. If you have never enjoyed the company of a woman and cannot see the point of being in a relationship with one then it's about time you step out of the closet and pursue relationships with men.
A woman will offer you nothing more than you have mentioned, have sex with prostitutes, remain childless and enjoy the company of your man friend.

Good luck to you with all that.
Romance › Re: LOL by queensmith: 7:36pm On May 14, 2012
Well my man must take care of me but I think we mean different things by that. I also take care of him. I don't believe he should pay my bills, I don't think he owes me anything and I certainly owe him newt.

His duty is to throw it down in the bedroom, watch gossip girl and not complain, listen to me moan all day, take me out whenever I want, and drive me and my friends around and not complain.
When we get married obviously it will be a completely different story, if i'm gonna push out a baby i'm going to be compensated heavily for it, thats a given. til then i'll maintain myself myself!

Humanitarian? but you get paid 100s of 1000s of naira? It's charity work when it's free. Don't confuse what you do. You are sacrificing nothing and building a very good career for yourself. You are paid handsomly for your services you are getting 20 times the minimum wage and 1000 times what the average Nigerian is said to live on. Gross misconduct and disregard for services you are being paid for should never be rewarded.
Rant all you want, you have been hired doctors and not accountants, what do you know about what is deserved. Your employer should tell you how much you are worth not the other way round.

IMO countries need to start spending more on training doctors, possibly letting them school for free and sending them abroad for further training and experience. When you have 1 doctor to 3 people I will see who is going start striking over 9000 teaching allowance for students practical still in school.

Are there no single men to 'feast on' in the whole of Lagos? When the witches of your former room deal with you, you will now.

Go on

Tis probably the casting directors with poor vision. casting has never been a strong suit of Nigerian movies, they just prefer to use people that are popular.

Music/Radio › Re: Dbanj's Oliver Twist Single Is No1 On UK Urban & Dance Chart by queensmith: 3:09am On May 12, 2012
He's on the pre release charts, I think it ranks for things like airtime and pre release purchases. The celebration is early and pretty misleading (he isn't actually on any official chart) but worth celebrating nontheless! I initially thought it was an outright lie. Can't blame the Nigerians for trying! probably unfamiliar with charting systems.
It doesn't belong to them. But you can't kick people out of their homes on short notice.

They should be forced to pay NORMAL RENT upon being fired. But they should still be given 6 months notice.

Imagine, some of these doctors will have families. Children in school. You cannot uproot a family just like that.
Well i'm no lawyer, but if the home is being subject to your employment then I understand if the government is at no obligation to make provision for that.

It's probably only doctors with families that have housing, we will see anyways. Haven't lived in subsidized housing esp in Nigeria so I'm also clueless to how it works. But it makes perfect sense to me for the doctors to be stripped of all benefits especially since they were fired for misconduct.
Health › Re: Lagos Issues Quit Notice To Sacked Doctors. by queensmith: 4:33pm On May 11, 2012
@allycat Seriously, how do these people get away with acting as if they aren't being paid? How does every doctor get away with that?
Health › Re: Lagos Issues Quit Notice To Sacked Doctors. by queensmith: 4:23pm On May 11, 2012
Yeah. Doesn't seem as if you can kick someone out of their house on such short notice.

Poor form on the part of the Lagos State government.

btw, do doctors pay rent? Or was this free housing?

If the latter...so during this time they were striking they were still enjoying the benefit of their job undecided
It will be conditional on being employed by the state. If it's not free it must be subsidized. If they are no longer working they cannot live in the houses. Normal tenancy rules will not apply. i'm guessing sha- that only makes sense. The houses technically doesnt belong to them, it belongs to the state.
Health › Re: Lagos Issues Quit Notice To Sacked Doctors. by queensmith: 3:49pm On May 11, 2012
texazzpete: You jealous?

All the doctors have asked is a reasonable payment scheme. Is it REALLY absurd to pay a Doctor 200k monthly in Lagos State? A doctor that sees an average of 50 patients daily? A doctor that spends his day immersed in disease, death, HIV patients, TB etc? Someone who spent 6 years in School + 1 year housemanship?

Is it so BAD for a doctor to expect to recieve some tax breaks for his service to humanity?

You folks are quick to insist that doctors owe a service to humanity. What do Nigerians owe them in return? Can you point to any landlord who has voluntarily given someone a discount upon producing his medical license?

Greedy Nigerians always want to TAKE, nothing in you to GIVE. I blame the rise of the new generation churches for this mindset.
Service to humanity? You speak as if doctors are not grossly overpaid. Fresh inexperienced doctors out earn other civil service professions 10 years in the trade.
This soo called service they disrupted indefinitely for a few extra naira. Don't be ridiculous.

If the minimum wage in Nigeria is 19 000 naira then yes it is absolutely absurd for doctors to receive 10 times that amount!! What for??

I dont know what else doctors want, they have the prestige, they get the money, they live the life now they are taking blood! Don't be ridiculous, they are as useful as the people willing to pay them.

immersed in disease my a.s.s as if doctors are the only ones that deal with disease. Who isn't dealing with disease. Should I sit and demand more money from my peers because you know how much disease you are dealing with?
Health › Re: Lagos Issues Quit Notice To Sacked Doctors. by queensmith: 2:38pm On May 11, 2012
is the NMA a union of some sort? Or a professional body? Can they authorize strikes? Is there no Labour Union for this? I'm a bit confused.
Health › Re: Normalcy Returns As New Lagos Doctors Resume by queensmith: 12:37pm On May 11, 2012
I don't think doctors should ever strike, ever! Gambling with lives over a few extra naira? cmon! I will like to know the ethics taught in Nigerian Medical Schools. This industrial action seems completely unethical to me and should probably cause the leaders to lose their license.
Romance › Re: Nigerian Version Of Mr Right by queensmith: 12:20pm On May 11, 2012
LOl, she was joking with you. If she had gold digging tendencies and you are a sensible man you wouldn't ever want to date her. She probably knew where you were going and wanted to put you off.

Mr Right can never be Nigerian as far as i'm concerned. Battling with a bigoted culture is not the aim of any woman, however it is important to me for him to have an ivy league education and be confident with himself. Most problems with men stem from poor confidence and ignorance.
