Piyke: My suggestion will be something is a maintenance item. High turnover. Something that people who don't need it now may think of stocking up on; oil, oil filter, air cleaner element, cabin filter, spark plugs etc. Wiper blades also meet this category....even though I know many people including my humble self use the type that goes with the rainy season . The ones sold in traffic for few shillings! I was thinking of something high turnover but at the same time, I know there are some costly repairs out there people have been delaying on. I think I like the spark plugs thing. I just did oil so I don't want to do that again. Maybe free oil filter with oil change next month. How about buy spark plugs, get Xtracleaer wiper blades by Trico free? Or buy 5 quarts of any oil, get 2 quarts free? |

Adakintroy: Every worker you employ emits data as they carry on their assigned duties. This data I believe is assigned to someone to corrolate call a supervisor maybe. You have those data in your ranks. Now looking at those datas after the said six months probation periods and assuming the employee has performed exceptionally. Shouldn't your next step immidiately be to go ahead and fulfill the terms of your agreement.
If you do not woundnt that constitute some kind of breach in agreement? Again I'm confused. How does that relate to what I said? What you're describing is what was in my original response (" we would have given him a performance review and let him know that was the case" ) that you said didn't make sense! And then implied I had an Omega complex with your " or it just one of the pecks of being an employer.
You know? That irrational feel of "am your boss".. do what i want" comment! |

Adakintroy: I don't know how you got here. I was never arguing for borderline performance. In the event of an employee doing exceptionally well, whats the next step? Or they never seem to perform exceptionally within six months?
The brother argued that he believes he had perform exceptionally. Given that his employers were not coming forth to access him. Don't he have the right to approach in line with the terms of the contract? I got there based on this "With all respect, you are not making any sense here. If his performance is boarder line like you said..should it not assume neutral tone at least first? And what do you mean by " rather than terminate?? If you are terminating, you are under the presumption that he has performed poorly..what if he had performed exceptionally well like he said under his six months probation?.what's the next step? " None of your response addressed what I said! Now even you are asking me how I got there. In response to the second bolded, I said " Also, six months just coming off probation is a little early to be asking unless it was one of the terms of your hire that pay would be reviewed in six months when you got off probation." So where exactly did I say he didn't have a right to approach? |

jjohndoe83: Dear gentlemen,
I have followed this thread for sometime now. Although I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but the caption "aspirant" should be sufficiently flexible to accommodate me.
I've been thinking of this relocation thing seriously. What are the options legitimately available to me migrating to the USA?
Let me give a bit of context: I'm 28 years old, I am in active legal practice in a relatively top law firm Lagos and have been at it since I was 24. I plan to get married next year (my intended is also a lawyer of similar experience and exposure). So, I'm looking for an option that would accommodate us both. We're not necessarily from buoyant backgrounds but we're trying.
What can we do? Leads and links would be appreciated. Thank you all. You will not be able to practice law without going back to school and passing the bar and even then may have to open your own practice as finding a job will be difficult. Even when you pass the bar here, it's state by state with a few exceptions. You have t o pass in each state you intend to practice. There is an over abundance of lawyers here. Most viable will probably be working as prosecutor for the state but they don't make a lot. https://hirealawyer.findlaw.com/choosing-the-right-lawyer/what-are-the-professional-requirements-for-becoming-a-lawyer.html Admission without law school Edit In California, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming[14] an applicant who has not attended law school may take the bar exam after study under a judge or practicing attorney for an extended period of time.[15][16] This method is known as "reading law" or "reading the law". New York requires that applicants who are reading the law have at least one year of law school study (Rule 520.4 for the Admission of Attorneys).[17] Maine allows students with two years of law school to serve an apprenticeship in lieu of completing their third year. |

Mobilia: Oh, many schools (mainly public) resumed on the first Monday in August. Most of the southern states (in the U.S..regardless of parochial, charter or public) start anywhere from the 1st to 2nd week of August on average. But most kids got out of school around the 3rd week of May.. They basically give kids about 2 months and 1 week of summer vacay now-a-days. I took a 1 year leave of absence (from teaching) to work on a special project...but I miss my "kids" Chicago public schools always start the day after Labor day. I've got a relative up there. Nut they didn't get out of school till around June 21st. The schools where you're at though, may be on "year-round" school with the two week vacations in between I'm guessing. Grills will be fired up all over for the holiday..ribs, burgers, wings, sausage, goat...etc. Folks are gonna be happy. You teach? I taught for 8 years everything from 9th-graduate school. I miss the 11/12th graders the most though |

gomez1only: I see you was able to use one of your stolen cards to pull the records. Now let me ask this..Did you see accident reported? The car i am currently using right here has damage reported on it because i filed a claim for a damage to my car ( tree hit ). That goes to the record. If you have ever stepped out of Nigeria, you would know different reasons why insurance companies declare loss on a car (accident included so is theft, etc) Hence granting a salvage title on it. Once insurance repossess a car, it is salvage .
With the record you put on here, intelligent people would know this is what they should actually go for because i can actually send you how an accident car report looks like and please post the pictures of the car as it is during this damage. I saw you mentioned something about extended damage. You think you saying that would hinder the ability to sell the car? You must be tripping. Do show the pictures of extended damage.
So you want me to go and print carfax report of 39$ since everyone doesn't have access to stolen cards and give it to prospective buyers? Just stay in this line of work of yours, you can never be successful as a business man. Thanks for the report anyway and i plan to utilize it .
Now for potential buyers.. Please do observe that the odometer reading (MILEAGE) is intact. Two owners since 2014. No ACCIDENT reported. Inspection was accurate. No Airbag deployment. If there was a serious accident or damage, airbag would deploy. Just think about the damage reported as you owing a vehicle and something fell on it, would y'all take care of that or trash the vehicle ? In developed countries, most would file a claim and hence insurance repossess the car which results in granting a salvage title to it. Dont think this bozo mentioning salvage is a big deal, its not because 90 percent of cars in Nigeria are salvages. BOLDED IS BLATANTLY FALSE. Please support second BOLDED with data. Wasnt going to comment a first but from this, Cosplay was right. You tried to pull a fast one. This was a total loss rollover based on the report (which we know how to translate because we did insurance claims all the time). You lied. if your didn't,it sure looks like you did. And stop trying to make it seem salvage title vehicles are normal. If a salvage title is fixable,in most states all it takes is repairs, an inspection by the dmv and $50 to re-assign it. To help you,i have even included the link for New York where this car is from. https://dmv.ny.gov/registration/about-salvage-vehicle-examinationAs a dealer in the USA, you shouldn't be using anything less than Carfax (which also sometimes misses stuff) or Autocheck (which tracks auction cars better) to do checks on vehicles if you are doing so in good faith. The only reason to use what you did is plausible deniability. It is very clear from the Carfax that this vehicle didn't just have hood damage. It lists literally every side of the car! Having a LOT of experience with auction cars and repairs and based on the description, what looks like a few dings on that picture is hiding a myriad of problems. If your really want to clear the air, straighten the hood and take it to DMV to resign the salvage designation and you'll be able to ask a LOT more for the car. Heck, if it's really just the hood, you don't even have to fix that to get the title reassigned! https://www.howmuchisit.org/carfax-report-cost/ for information on both vehicle history companies which you shouldn't be operating without at least one. |
My bad! To your question, No i wasn't told verbally, but aside from my responsibilities as stated in my appointment letter, I embarked on some project and also led my team to a competition in which we won out of about five companies.[/quote] Okay so you have tangible evidence that something you did brought the company prestige. While i think you should have more accomplishments than that under your belt (especially more recent/consistent achievements), it's worth a shot especially if winning that competition greatly added to your company's bottom line financially or significantly increased your company's customer base in some way. If you can get any of your superiors to write a praise letter (formal or informal) or if you have any past email simply saying "good job", i think those things coupled together would make it hard for your employer to refuse your request. Do you mind me asking you current pay and the kind of raise you are expecting? |
