OyinbowithaTan: ICE is primarily focused on gangs like MS 13 members, people with prior convictions, or people in jail that they want to deport as opposed to being let out of prison then they vanish.
Something like 77% of people being deported have criminal records
Not true with this administration. All foreigners are targets. Even with green cards. Google and you'll find many without records being shipped off.
ivoryhouse: At least Nigerians are beginning to do research before buying cars..some folks just waltz into a car shop and buy, imagine a single guy aged 24 driving a sienna for example or a family man with 4 kids buying a Toyota camry; just because they like the said cars. They only realsie their mistake after a few weeks. Car shops have no return policy so the 'nightmare' begins
mayor2013: Not every complete engine gets to come with AC compressor. In most cases seller might insist on some additional cash to have it come with it. Sometimes you might just be a lucky chap
That's what i was wondering because that is not a cheap part
ogtavia: Is Acura TL 2007 model, type S or not, a good buy for a first car in terms of reliability (every day driving), fuel economy and ease of maintenance / repair? GAZZUZZ EgunMogaji. I have heard from nurey and HeavenlyBang though.
Personally i like the car. Reliable, decent fuel though there are better, some premium features, maintenance shouldn't be expensive. Just don't know about availability of parts here historically. It boils down to the specific car you are being offered. Get it thoroughly inspected and you should be fine.
Chapecoense: Did you eventually get your commercial pilot license? And what are the chances for a Nigerian with a PR to be a pilot in the US?
most of our certifications in Nigeria require updating and/or starting over to be used there. Look up job openings on Google and see qualifications to answer your question.
NobleEngineer: Rat shit & urine traces are always found on the engine bay every morning. I don set many traps under the car, e no catch nada. I've tried to also pack the car in different locations in our compd, kpabo lo jasi. Baba how far? Check ifa for me pls
Chelseafan1: He said it will work. Besides, I haven't concluded yet. I still wanna take it to Radautoworks, I'm only skeptical about if I'll be glad I did or not, at the end of the day.
My mindset has always been that, a good toks engine will be always be better than fixing an old one that has a bad coil , a bad Compressor, maybe a bad Condenser sef.
Piyke: Thanks a lot. These may be a bit over what I want price wise. Maybe I'll just plan to pick it up on my next trip. The bushing I want to replace has just shown early signs of failure.
I The mean time, pop through on a Saturday and use ours!
HeavenlyBang: You're forgetting that some of the people asking such questions are completely ignorant about cars. Can't blame them, in that case. And that's why this thread exists.
Compare kəmˈpɛː/ verb 1. estimate, measure, or note the similarity or dissimilarity between. synonyms: contrast, set side by side, juxtapose, collate, differentiate, weigh up, balance, weigh/balance/measure the differences between
To get a comparison of similarly classed vehicles is the easiest thing to do via any number of auto sites cars.com, edmunds.com etc. I believe the purpose of this thread is to have real life (read Naija) comparisons of similar/dissimilar vehicles from hands-on experts to help one decide on a choice for the long run.
A comparative analysis may well inform one that what you really need is cabin and boot space and not engine power and fuel consumption.
Please let people ask their qweshun o! Persin wey ask nor dey lost.
You can please kick off your contribution with the PJ vs Veyron one. That is one choice dilemma that has been bothering me too
Can't do it. Different classes are for different purposes so comparing is redundant. A two door sports car comparison to an entry level suv for what? It's a waste of time to me so I'll just stay out of it. back in the day, my job was to help people decide buy comparing but nothing as outlandish as this. The only reason i can imagine is budget but i learned selling cars for years that if that was the main decider, people were usually unhappy afterwards. It had to be budget + purpose.
jeraw: Good Morning, I would like to know if you can work on my Honda Accord 1995 Europe Model (AUTOMATIC). The car came was bought in 2010 as tokumbo and was in use by 1 owner before I received it as a gift last year May 2017). The car has been heavily mutilated and 'kazeemized' These are the following issues I have noticed in car after one year plus of use:
1) Catalyst has be removed (confirmed by a kazeem) 2) Mobil 20w50 has been used to lubricate the car since it was bought 3) Idling is erratic (Car idles at 1300 RPM) 4) Black smoke comes out of exhaust pipe (espeially when engine is revved) 5) Gear inhibitor switch has been disable or removed ( so I can switch from drive to reverse without stepping on the brake pedal) 6) Water has been used has coolant in the car since 2010 with fans running as soon as battery comes on. 7) Fuel consumption is about 3km per litre of fuel. Heating and Air conditioning set up has packed up. 9) Mileage of car is 274,886 kilometers (odometer has stopped working)
I would like to know if you can resolve these issues and what it would take (just an estimate to get it back in shape)
williams20: Good day house , please is Honda CRV 2002 (nigerian used ) a good buy
Exactly what ugreat said. Moral of this thread is that you need a good mechanic/shop to physically inspect the vehicle inside and out as well as run scans on it. There is no blanket rule of Nigerian used CRV is good, etc. You need to check the specific vehicle you intend to purchase.
Are we serious with most of these comparisons Can we at least compare cars in the same class I am so confused and horrified. Or is this based on what we can bu y them for in Nigeria?
thebigkendo: Between a corolla or Benz s550? Both naija used, Fuel economy, rugged and availability of parts, luxury and speed. Can the s550 carry me from Ikorodu to berger then ajah and back on 2000 fuel?
So you want to come out of the gate with a fight? I'm telling on you to HeavenlyBang!
Backfornow: News made today that the NAFTA trade agreement has been renogiatied. This agreement was between US, Canada, and Mexico, made in the 1990s. For now this agreement removes Canada, which will be interesting to watch since Canada is the US second largest trade partner. The US imports oil and wheat mainly from Canada.
Off topic but funny so i wanted to share. There is another hilarious one i couldn't find about Houston being closed so people please stop moving here because it's so attractive.
