did u say last for years lol
it depends on quality of parts, the nature of road n frequency of car usage.
anyway I will never advise my enemy to buy anything Honda not when rugged Toyota is still in d market.
op simply wants to learn the hard way DTS why he still dey price Honda cars.
Toyota Camry n corolla 1994 to 1998 anyone his budget can afford or better still a Carina e is what he needs Yes, years. Which is why in the US we offer a lifetime warranty on our ball joints and in Nigeria for now we offer a one or two year warranty. Honda and Toyota in general are both good options but each does have one or two models to stay away from.

AutoElectNG: Decline the job....the margins on the parts are already small...the gains on labor wiped out...so you are not working for free, but working at a loss
Not a way to do business... Sustainable business
Which raises the question of defining and refining your target market
Everyone cannot be your client
Aggressively court those who can be
Let alone the rest that was my take too. not all business is good business. There was no way they were going to get all that work done elsewhere for that price with warranty. they acknowleged as much but just felt they should have a discount. brakes, struts AND oxygen sensors? One of the hurdles we expected to have was the haggling mentality here. It will cost us business in the beginning but when you are transparent and fairly and consistently priced, there is no room for haggling. |

WHAT IS THIS OBSESSION ON NAIRALAND WITH "REPLACE ENGINE" AND "REPLACE COMPRESSOR/CONDENSER"?? Most of the time, that is not necessary and is only recommended because they either can't or won't diagnose what actual component in the system is causing the problem so they just replace the whole system. Rebuilds only take 2-3 days unless there is a parts delay
e.g. other recommendation on here ( sight unseen I might add) was 300k engine replacement. Actual solution only cost 113k and did NOT require an engine replacement SMH. I've attached a picture of the supposed 300k engine replacement problem. Yes, you are seeing right. Someone used SOCKET TOOLS as a part in the engine They also used a knockoff two layer gasket instead of three. oh, and did I mention diagnosis was FREE with the repair?

Emperoh: I agree with this guy. Copart runs what looks like a rigged system. Someone wins a bid, but seller is unhappy with price. He relists the car and prebid starts again at the winning price of live auction. That's nonsense! Cars are over priced too. My first option will remain IAAI. There decently priced bids from Copart, but those are few and far between. i'm actually female.. |
Autos › Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by radautoworks: 5:34pm On Jul 28, 2018 |
GAZZUZZ: It's not a pissing contest. Your recommendation will not work. Overfill can cause smoke, but to go as far as soaking spark plugs, the flow of oil is in combustion chamber. (Piston rings, valve stem seals) over fill will cause a mixture of air and engine oil from into intake from PCV. Stick with your marketing work, you are doing a good job at it.
Did you pour more than 4 liters of engine oil in your engine sir? I said you could have your thread lol. I don't know much... I've only had multi-national repair shops for about 10 years and my husband has only been ASE certified for 35 and a mercedes lead tech for 5 of them. Obviously we are only doing what little we can. I'm just trying to help people. If you look on our thread, you will see we encourage people to share information about other sellers and mechanics that are reputable in our thread since it is about the PEOPLE. I'm not even in the same state as you.. But then again, people used to bring their cars to us from Louisiana and we were in Texas....

Having had licenses at all three for years, I can tell you that the cars at iaai were usually better priced because they are more stringent. Going a few days before to sabotage a car you're interested in is a common practice at Copart. Things like removing a fuse here, taking the keys and locking the car, etc.
Bottom line with any auction is if you cannot have a trusted mechanic physically go to check the car before the auctions, you have no business getting involved. |

thaqib: The main reason why I want to change my Camry 2001 is because of the terrible shocks and appendages. I also have a good experience with Toyota corolla for it's superb wheels. However ,I want a little change from the routine so I am asking if Toyota matrix has good shocks/wheel like corolla and also cheap part. I m not doing any all wheel drive... They come off the same assembly lines so yes, many are there same. They also used to share some parts with Pontiac vibe. |
Car Talk › Re: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by radautoworks: 7:39pm On Jul 27, 2018 |
snowflakes504: Hello Mr Gazzuzz, I have a fuel consumption issue with my 1998 Toyota Camry XLE V6 car. I've changed Air flow meter, changed brain box twice ( first was due to the car not starting, no shock and more.. Second was due to excessive black smoke coming out from the exhaust pipe) I changed the engine completely after the first brainbox experience and engine knock issues. Bought a tokunbo Japan Engine last year. After changing the engine and getting the second brainbox, the black smoke experience was gone, exhaust looks clean and dry, yet the consumption is crazy. A 13ltrs 2,000 naira fuel can only run for 40km in my car. There's no Check Engine Indicator ON on my dashboard. Please what else can I do? What can be the cause? How can I fix this issue of consumption? What needs to be changed/fixed?. I'd appreciate your feedback. Thanks. If you're in Lagos, bring the car to us. |
