thanks guys for your comments.

Update: my wife moved out with the kid. I tried to stop her, got on my knees and begged. Even prostrated face down. Still no show. I guess i've really lost her. I feel like i've died and gone to hell

I've decided to go to marriage counselling with our pastor. I hope he can convince her to come
Ohh dear!!! that's sad to hear. cry  I'll suggest you allow her this period of seperation while in the meantime, you still remain and act ' the perfect man'. Like someone said, "give her a reason to come back" DONT IGNORE HER WHILE SHE'S WALKED OUT.She only needs to be off you for a while. I'll be praying for you ok. I know what it means to have a broken home cry

Brownsuga:
Bolarge, my heart goes out to you. I pray things will work out between you and your wife.
I have read your story and really sympathise with you.

I don't want to blame you while you are already in enough stress, but really, to a certain extent, you are the cause of the tension in your home. You were looking for something you obviosuly were not getting from your wife- emotional support? with another female figure. You say because you were idle.

I would say try everything under the sun to save your marriage, since you are the cause of the tension. Make it up to her. Dont argue and please stop saying what you did was normal- because it simply wasnt! Imagine if she did that to you with another man. You would be feeling the same way.

I think your wife is feeling dejected, incomplete and inadequate as a woman and wife because you sought elsewhere what you should have sought in your wife.  She is hurting and arguing with her will hurt her more. So stop ding that.
AND have you aplogized for your actions- i mean truly and meaningfully aplogized with explanation as to what drove you to seek comfort eleswhere? Sometimes a simple SORRY goes a long way and heals wounded souls. It also repairs lost trust.

Secondly, sometimes seperation helps- a moment to miss each other, to feel the absence and true meaning of the  other. Maybe you could try that.

I will pray for you man.
Your wife sounds like the ideal wife,

Good luck dear.

FamilyRe: Please Help, My Wife Wants To Leave Me by Radiant(f): 1:13pm On Sep 15, 2006
Hmmmmmm! This is a tough one. We are all bound to make mistakes and it's only human. It could have been anyone of us. The fact that you've done other wrong things in the past and lied many times to your wife, joined with this new development, it would be very hard for your wife to listen to your apologies. If you were a selfmade man without    being nursed by your wife for so long, then it woulda been easier for her to forgive you. Women hate TOYS but love a "MAN"I personally hate lies and if I was in her shoes, I think I'll do the same 'cause if she lets you in again, you might still do the same thing but the truth is, she could have made the same mistake too. You just happen to be unlucky. The other thing is, even if she leaves you, how sure is she that another man won't cheat on her? I think she's had it to her neck and fed up with you. If you can prove your love to her and get your family to apologise to her, If she really loves you and considering the kid you have, she'll reconsider the divorce. Like i said, it could be anyone just that you r the unlucky chap. Shit happens indeed! cry

CareerRe: Tony Elumelu Of UBA Graduated With Third Class? by Radiant(f): 2:58am On Sep 13, 2006
Oh my days!!! what kind of people do we have here? Mr drop out, there's no way on this planet you can compare my post with yours. I was only saying that I wish the interviews along with the right credentials will be a genuine standard for employers. We all know the Nigerian system so it's no news. I'm disappointed by the system and didn't understand why someone will be killing himself over the UBA manager or whoever having a 3rd class. In essence, incase you still don't understand me, I'm saying they should spare Elumelu.I am not promoting mediocrity in anyway, just sad the way our system functions. undecided Besides i didn't go beyond the borders of Nigeria. You went ahead to state this Go to anywhere all over the world (Canada, US, Japan, Britain etc), nobody wants to employ first class or 2.1 graduates anymore because they have no skills. The only skill they have is buying their way through the university while we the third class and pass graduates study hard and that is why we graduated with pass and third class.

The company I work for, here in Canada, does not employ anybody with grade better than third class because drop-outs and people with third class grades and below are the best. In fact, we the management team (all drop outs and pass graduates from NIGERIA) are looking at changing our requirements to employ only drop outs that are Bill Gates of tomorrow to come and help bring our company to grater heights.

Davidylan, I am surprised that you were able to get into a PhD program with a first class. Count yourself very lucky because no school anywhere in the world (Canada, US, Nigeria etc) will admit first class and 2.1 graduates into postgraduates programs henceforth. All postgraduate students must be a drop-out or have a pass or third class from NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES ONLY. Oh, I love all of us drop-outs, third class and pass graduates. Keep the flag flying. We rule the world
How could you open your mouth to make such shameful and irresponsible statements. Just go over it again and tell me if you can't find where to bury your brain angry you are promoting dropoutism (whatever that means) in and out of Nigeria and you tell me you rule the world? Bet your canadian Visa sef is Oluwole. I repeat, you a waste to this world Your company should be wrapped in a bin bag and thrown into the pit of hell.
Christianity EtcRe: Dress Code In Church by Radiant(f): 1:41am On Sep 13, 2006
Is there anywhere in the bible it says black people should dress decently to church. Why is it only dark skinned people that the world tend to criticise most. We see white people come to church half naked as well but we don't say jack. If na black sister, it'll be talk to the day. Y'all spare dem dress code shit abeg. For me, I wear anythin i like to Church and I don't listen to any1. If an usher walks up to me , then h/s is looking for trouble. I praise HIM even with my bra strap hangin out grin

Here we go again!!! smiley
Did any1 even ask Ally her age undecided una just deh open mouth anyhow grin she might be less than 25 and be desperate to get married due to peer pressure or she may be above 30. We don't really know. Getting married is not really the issue but staying married like some1 said earlier. Did you say 15 months or years? my dear u have just began. I know a lady who dated a guy for 10 years and they didn't get married and guess what happened? she got pregnant on the 10th year and my dear the guy abandoned her. She's our family friend so it's not a hear say talk.10 solid years! I saw it live grin
15 months is enough though for a guy to propose but one thing you should know is that, until a guy is MADE, he ain't gon pop that question cause he knows the pressure to say "I do" will be the next on the agenda. wink
Proper and correct guys want to make it first. If he has never discussed marriage with you, then you should tell us the reason cause that's a common conversation among partners and friends. My cousin who's 33 yrs is just getting married this saturday. You shouldn't be worried about that cause girl, you don't wanna jump out the next day. Be prayerful and patient honestly. Marriage no deh trip me at all. 80% of my friends are guys but i can't see myself settling with any of them. I see marriage as being in bondage. Neway, whatever the case, NEVER PROPOSE TO A GUY no matter what. He will use it against you one day and you don't wanna know what will come afterwards sad people discover the kind of partner they have after years and run for their lives and you getting worried after 15 months, girl open you eyes o. God knows better cool

HealthRe: Side Effect Of Nescafe (coffee). by Radiant(f): 2:09am On Sep 12, 2006
I guess you playing my mind cause I don't want to believe your only therapy is caffieine intake  wink An RN should know better than a "doctor to be" innit?
Neway, because a sudden decrease in caffeine intake may cause the brain's blood vessels to relax, triggering a migraine, the best way to control it is to reduce your intake gradually and not increase it cause you not helping the situation. If you still have headache afterwards though might not be severe after a small intake of caffiene, you can take some analgesics to calm it down.(If you're sure the main cause is caffeine intake then I suggest the above but consult a proper doctor though  wink )

Other main reasons could be hereditary meaning that you'll have to be medication dependent. Another thing is to check your estrogen level cause a high level can be a cause for migraine in females.( there are loads of other reasons though undecided)

Best wishes wink

yeah goodluck being a doctor!, i see u not one yet! so u might jus be misinterpreting your text, u never know the real truth till u practice what u taught

Wtf you talking about? being a medical student doesn't mean sucking up only the theoritical aspect of medicine. Moreover little things like HR and BP i learnt in high school to start with. I deal with patients and have seen alot of the practical aspect of medicine with experienced doctors. Don't know how it is in your nursing 'ish but we doctors definitely know more than nurses. I'm not bragging but definitely proud to be who I am.

what makes u think am going to eat u raw?, do u feel threatened by my earlier replies?. if so i ll tone it down a little

as for me i don't have any other symtoms that migraines. and i did not get them by drinking coffee, i got em by caffeine intake. did u here me CAFFIENE. coffee is jus one of them and i didnt start drinking coffee till i was 16 and am still not a regular drinker. i started having migraines when i was about 7 and my caffeine intake came from drinking a lot of sodas, and also caffeinated tea
Sorry I misunderstood that but certainly look for an alternative solution.
CareerRe: Tony Elumelu Of UBA Graduated With Third Class? by Radiant(f): 2:23pm On Sep 11, 2006
We all talking about interviews here. I wish that could be a genuine standard for employers.Gimme a break please. Have you thought about how many people get jobs based on the result of their interview? Most jobs are through connections and for the ladies an interview isn't necessary sometimes as the alternative could be having an affair with the boss or whoever. (Prove me wrong as some of you would)  undecided
Infact, how many workers in Nigeria have a degree  huh Most times, productivity is what really matters not necessarily the so called "degree"
Besides, a degree in a particular field don't mean you'll end up working in that filed. I know a pharmacist who's the manager of a car company in PH.
Also know a chemical engineer working at first bank. And so many others. How d'u explain that? undecided

HealthRe: Side Effect Of Nescafe (coffee). by Radiant(f): 12:17pm On Sep 11, 2006
All those side effects mentioned, are possibilities. For instance, when i drink coffee, the only effect it has on me is nausea and heartburn. You won't necessarily have all those symptoms at once. It could be any of them.
For those of you havin withdrawal symptom, find an alternative solution other than drinking coffee to avoid future regrets. You should know better though wink

Bluenubian, bet you gon eat me raw when you reply. grin Go ahead i'm enjoyin it.

Atleast he has a degree right? what of those managers and other workers out there (NIGERIA)without a certificate? U just research the Nigerian system and bet you won't ask this question again. You so bothered about Elumelu, what about you? huh
HealthRe: Side Effect Of Nescafe (coffee). by Radiant(f): 11:51am On Sep 11, 2006
Excuse me miss, I never said HR is the same as HBP. What I meant was when you have HBP, you CAN have increased HR as well. In other words, HBP can be a cause of increased HR as well as a low BP.
I ain't a nurse and won't be one neway. All things being equal, I'll be a doctor in 2 years and a medical solicitor in 3 years.
Goodluck with you though wink

how do u explain this?, u have increased heart rate in parenthesis (), meaning that you are defining increased BP as increased heart rate. My dear, those are 2 different symptoms, preferably leave out the parenthesis
ohhh GOD! Neway I don't blame you. You prolly studying mass comm or some shit like that. Dearie, when you have HBP, you can also have increased heart rate. Go back to your books. aight? Don't know much but when i talk atleast i'm sure to say the right thing.  undecided
