Hahaha. You no even do home economies grin

I bet do notknow there are so many imported things that the importers sole source of Dollars is Bureau De Change.

Where have you been, Chihuahua Island?

I believe the name of that subject in Nigerian education is called "Home Economics." Since you did it, you should know, right? undecided

Also, isn't it self-explanatory that if the parallel market is decommissioned, then the sole source becomes the official rate?

Life is not always about what it is, but what it can and should be.

No, it is for those who are ignorant and shallow.

If someone walked up to you and said "I had a vision and the lord told me to give me your car," what would be your response?
Would you apply your current rhetoric, since you "have ears"?

This is perhaps the most m0ronic thread i've come across.

There is hardly any place on earth that's significantly less safe than Nigeria.
Fear mongering is for weak people who are too lazy to understand rational facts, and take the easy speculative route.

"The West" is such a broad canvas to paint your baseless fear mongering brush across.
If you believe you or anyone in Boko-haram ravaged Nigeria is any safer than myself or anyone in "the west," then you need to get your brain checked asap before the tumor spreads.

There is nothing particularly unique about anything happening around the world today. There is no time in the history of mankind without war and strife, so any notion that any of it is "special" is ignorance.

Can you see how dump you are, you tribalistic asshole. You swine, all you could do was raise a tribal war from this post, Oponu, can't you see you are the only one mastubating without no point, show me the tribe that does'nt steal, am sure you are old enough to be my uncle or even father if you gave birth earlier, but sense they say does not come from age. How can people like you just decide to start what is not? Oga oh, Uncle Seun should better do something about you fast.

I have no interest in what y'all are arguing about, but I find it hilarious when I see one use the bold word above, in that context.

It is a common word misuse among Africans, and is such a huge irony.
When calling someone "dumb," and in the same breath displaying the said accusation. cheesy

Dumb and Dump are two totally different words.

Now, y'all can return to your regularly scheduled Nairaland tribal wars.
Health / Re: Launching Of Obijackson Children Hospital In Anambra, Nigeria (Photos) by ramalot(m): 12:04pm On Nov 22, 2015
holyFRED:

Can a currently jobless nurse with a 'fail' certificate work here as a nurse?

My answer is NO

Some Nigerians don't just want to upgrade their thinking faculty.

Rather than employ a doctor with a fail or unsatisfactory result in this 'world class' hospital as the OP called it,i bet you they would employ a doctor with a pass(who already has a job) and pay him based on hours.

Your comment made perfect sense until this portion I've quoted. What are you saying?

Maybe I'm totally misunderstanding your point, but are you suggesting any health organization should go ahead and hire quack "doctors" and "nurses" who were unable to pass their medical training?

There is NO reason at all, except in extreme cases of war and similar outbreaks, for such individuals to be allowed to practice in any form.

They do not have jobs because they are unemployable. They are unfit to practice. They have not proven beyond reasonable doubt that they wouldn't make fatal medical errors.

This is THE reason why they're not employable and jobless. It has nothing to do with rich vs poor with these medical staff. It is a case of competence vs incompetence, a very delicate balance of life and death.

Remove sentiment whenever you approach such things.

Politics / Re: We Can No Longer Pay N18,000 Minimum Wage – Governors by ramalot(m): 7:05am On Nov 20, 2015
Honestly, I am very VERY ashamed of Nigeria.

The same nation where government officials are the highest paid in the world, where government houses are assigned billions of Naira for "renovation."
The same government officials who budget millions of dollars for vehicles that could be sourced at a fraction of the budget.

The same government where "newspaper allowances" for individual officials are over 6000% more than the minimum wage.

When I hear people say things like "Nigeria is not developing because of colonial effects," I laugh at their naivete. Nigerian politicians are the most inhumane thieves on the planet. Colonialism has ZERO bearing on their actions.

HOW DA HECK do you look at a full grown man, and pay him N18,000 a month. That's $90.
Like that's not bad enough, they're talking about being unable to afford it. Are they INSANE?

I read on nairaland last year that the Bayelsa state government was building a state house at a budget over 3 billion Naira.
An edifice that would only accommodate the thieves to have meetings on how they can further impoverish the people, and subsequently keep them subservient to their political whims.

BASTARDS.

An 18 year old is an adult. If you can't comprehend that, then you need your head examined.

Whether she marries a 19 year old or a 99 year becomes inconsequential at that threshold. Provided the marriage has her consent.
She IS old enough to consent.

hmmmmm... i wrote about adsense alternative some few days ago but majority of people disagreed with me. while i agree with the op that adsense pays peanut compared to other sources , the method quoted above is extremely difficult to earn from cos they are more of CPA. so you can send tons of visitors over without earning a dime. i will still recommend popunders with delayed launch as that's a guaranteed method of earning passively.

Posting an image of your earnings dashboard is a TOS violation, and is like begging Google to shut down your account.

When they do, I bet you'll start a topic titled "Google is racist against black bloggers, and closed my account for no reason." undecided

Racism is intentionally preventing someone from getting employment because of their race. Or by intentionally not giving them a loan because of the color of their skin. Prejudice is just not liking them, and even if I was prejudice towards them, I'm not in any position to ruin their careers or livelihoods. Racism on the other hand, can have that effect. That's the difference.

This is an incredibly shallow worldview. It is clear you're uninformed on the topic, so rather than engage you in it, I'd advice that you acquaint yourself better with it.

Perhaps, the woman was unruly. HOWEVER, the guy is DEFINITELY incompetent.

How the hell do you start troubleshooting a printer without first checking the three most basic things?

POWER SUPPLY, INK & PAPER.

If you start your "troubleshooting" anywhere else, and even spend time on those BEFORE checking these, then yes, you're incompetent.

That doesn't negate the fact that the lady was being a kunt, but call the spade what it is.

Buhari start working for Nigeria. Was corruption the only campaign promise to Nigerians.

SMH! Everyday, what is emanating from the presidency and APC is corruption this, corruption that. Enough of this rubbish... jail the corrupt ones and start looking at other sectors.

Buhar-! What is your Eduction policy?
Buhari! What is you health policy?
Buhari! What is your foreign policy?
Buhari! Apart from taking the nigerian arny unit to borni, what is your security policy?
Buhari! What is your agicultural policy?
Buhari! What is your economy policy?

This APC and it president keep on shouting corruption since 3months this guy was sworn in. Nothing else to show for how and where this government is headed.

Unfortunately, APC supporters will attack me meaninglessly.

Every thing that emanates from the presidency is corruption talks, nothing else to talk about in this government?

I don't care about Nigerian politics or politicians, but what you're failing to see is this:

CORRUPTION is THE reason why all the sectors you've mentioned have failed woefully over the decades.

WITHOUT fixing corruption to a certain point, any attempts at other sectors IS a waste of time.

What do you want to hear? Maybe something like "Buhari approves $1 billion for education reform"?
What use is that if the funds would only get looted, just like they always have?

Weed out the bad eggs, establish the right climate and clear repercussions, THEN invest funds in the serctor.
