Honestly, I've never seen a more appropriate time to use the phrase: "Keep your day job." Dude, music isn't your thing. Also, music is not a job UNTIL it starts paying the bills. On a more positive note, even some of the worst musicians make hit songs, so keep putting out those wack tracks and maybe one of them will blow and launch you into the game. Until then, keep your damn day job. 2 Likes |

This is a perfect "literalization" of African religiousity. Nothing but sheep! The fact that all pastors - Oyedepo, Oyakhilome etc don't literally do this, does not mean it's not what's going on in their churches. 3 Likes |

66Kazna99: Thanks. However, over 90% of the visitors to my site access it through mobile devices, so that's my primary focus. How do you personally download to your mobile device for offline viewing? |

DerrickM: Thanks for your feedback. From what you've said, I take it people generally have some form of download tool installed on their device. However, they still have to track down the actual link in order to effect a download. As far as direct playback/streaming, do you know if the internet speeds available to people allows for minimal buffering? Like when you take a peek on your BB browser, does it generally play at a decent rate? Sorry for the multiple questions. |

DerrickM: Thanks for your response. However, I don't think you got my question. I own two sites which have predominantly embedded Youtube video content. In order to improve the user experience, I'm researching the different ways people in Nigeria watch/download Youtube videos they come across on such sites. Specifically how they download them. For instance, I found out some people add "ss" to the start of the domain name. e.g "youtubedotcom/XXXX" becomes "ssyoutubedotcom/XXXX." This redirects to a different site which delivers a direct download widget for that video. In essence, I'm trying to better understand the methods of choice used by people in Nigeria, so I can make the site more user-friendly. |

Politics / Re: #elrufaidestroyskaduna Trending On Twitter by ramalot(m): 10:45pm On Mar 07, 2016 |
Nigerians are the cause of their own problems. All they want is chaos, disorder and anarchy so they can do whatever they feel like, without checks, balances and repercussion. There is a mudafuckin city plan. If you choose to bribe someone, buy illegal land and erect illegal structures, then the outcomes are yours to deal with. Nigerians constantly criticize its government for failing to maintain orderly cities like they see on TV in developed nations. Well, dumbasses, our cities are organized because if you choose to start an adhoc market by the road, or build houses where you like, you will dance to the music. I lived in Nigeria back when El-Rufai was the FCT minister and he got the same criticisms from proponents of city chaos. It is nothing new, and it is irrelevant. All that matters is that land use laws MUST be followed. These animals almost turned Abuja to the chaotic cesspool that characterizes most of Lagos. El-Rufai battled this and maintained sanity. I have ZERO interest in the political leanings of anyone, or in the politics of Nigeria. Common sense is all anyone really needs. 12 Likes |

flybiz08: This is a pretty silly reasoning (or lack thereof). That's like saying, "Why arrest rapists, when there are ritualists out there to arrest?" One is not linked to the other, and each must be handled in isolation. I have no interest in the mindless APC vs PDP war y'all like to have in Nigeria, but common sense shouldn't be applied by party affiliation. 1 Like |

austinsmat: Foreign investment is good, but it's honestly not what Nigeria needs. Nigeria needs a vibrant local industry, especially for such shoes that can easily be filled by a Nigerian company. Remember, at the end of the day, foreign investors send their profit home. 1 Like |

I know people generally download videos on their cell phones because of slow connections. However, my question is this. When you visit a site where a youtube video is embedded, how do you typically watch it if a download link, or the direct youtube link isn't provided? I own a site that posts mostly videos without download links, and I'm trying to better understand how people in Nigeria generally experience/use such site content. In order for me to improve user experience. |

holicalpha: That's the reason you're here making this statement. Your mindset of "blessed" and "lucky" is what's holding you back. THERE IS NO SUCH THING. You either work hard and smart or you don't. Except you win a fortune from a lottery, there is nothing like wealth by luck. Even winning a lottery fortune requires an active move to obtain or buy the lottery ticket. Our outcomes are based on our actions, and not those of others. Until people own up to this fact and stop blaming everything but themselves for their condition, they will never uplift themselves. 1 Like |
