So many undergraduates, including those in their final year in school erroneously think that life on campus and life outside campus are same thing. Far from it!!! Life outside campus could just be a sharp contrast to life on campus Foresight is better than hindsight...as Book of Proverbs says in the Holy Book, 'A wise man sees trouble on the way and hides himself but the foolish man sees it and walks into it'. The wise man will surely learn by foresight while the foolish man learns by hindsight...after he has entagled himself ![]() Below are things life will teach you when you expire from the campus ![]() 1) Life will teach you that creating a romantic relationship with a responsible lady is no longer based on your looks or swaggz but how stable you are financially, emotionally and religiously In school, you had it easy in getting Kemi to fall over you, abi? You should even think like a grown man before you leave that Ivory Tower!2) Life will teach you that it is good to work hard to get good grades but not putting all your hopes on degrees and being enterprising and creative is excellent!!! ![]() 3) Life will teach you that you should have the fun while it lasts but don't waste your precious time and future banking on relationships that might not see the light of the day after campus! 4) Life will teach you that those people you and your crew were referring to as 'dull and a nobody' might be very intelligent without you knowing. Don't be surprise when you see them in later years in enviable positions in their respective careers! The Ukwuani people of Delta State say, 'Chiosa'...it means that destinies differ! Just because you are close to some corrupt lecturers and they give out marks to you doesn't mean you should look down on everyone!!! 5) Life will teach you that your parents did a lot for you by sending you to school. If you allow heavy hips and water-melonic boobs (Abeg, whatever that means) to confuse, distract and mesmerize you, you are on your own To see a child through higher institution in Nigeria today nor be bread and Akara o! If na lie I lie, go ask your palee for house! ![]() 6) Life will teach you that you should never have compared your life with that of the female. They are and will always be ahead of you in emotional maturity! They might get married before you even think of rounding off your Youth Service Scheme!!! ![]() 7) Life will teach you that life, itself, has changed! If you feel you have been a salary earner by deceiving your parents for money back home with cooked-up stories, only to waste it on fruitless things, you will surely get the message vividly when you discover that the cash doesn't come again. You'd need to get up and do something.8. Life will teach you that you dated some nice girls who you would want for a wife ...you just couldn't help losing them but you did because they are always readily available to be taken far more than you ![]() You can add yours... Good evening everyone!!! |
ckmayoca:Including those that don't even know the history of Nigeria! |
Whenever I take a critical look at the political activities of most of our youths in this part of the world, I can't just help but accept the saying that 'A nation deserves the type of leaders it has...in this case, the youths of a country truly deserve the type of leaders they get!!! It seems most of our youths have been so blinded by political ignorance to an extent where they get themselves unnecessarily engrossed in irrelevant political issues without considering the real motives of most of our ever cunning and visionless politicians! In these modern times, when youths in other climes are seriously exercising their political rights and unarguably benefitting from what belongs to them-the nations' commonwealth, it is so pathetic and shameful to know that majority of our youths still wallow in confusion and misplaced priority, both socially, economically and politically! ![]() The way most young people insult one another on social media and Nigerian forums because of irrelevant political issues is baffling and disgraceful! While other youths are getting advanced in technology, science and developmental strategies, our youths are busy supporting one criminal or the other in government! What can we say when some persons gathered on a fateful day and decided that the best thing to do was to converge joblessly and bury a coffin wrapped in the flag of a political party? I mean, what sense is there? If you look closely, you will discover that these are the same people that are poor in the society, same people who have been deprived of gainful employement, scholarships, healthcare, the voice and platform to exhibit their talent and their general social well-being! You will never see the children of Bukola Saraki in such shameful and irrelevant activity; nor will you see the son or daughter of Otedola or Rotimi Amaechi! When will the Nigerian youths wake from this deep slumber? When are we going to realize that turning to an e-lion or e-tiger on social media and forums because of the selfish interests of some greedy politicians will never bring the real and desired development? ![]() Politicians such as Dino Melaye and co will never have the true interest of the Nigerian youth in their hearts! They would rather employ diverse tricky means to divert the attention of the youths and create political confusion in their lives!!! I speak for no political party...not for APC, not for PDP or any other party! I speak for the good and re-orientation of the Nigerian youths!Since the average Nigerian youth has decided to wallow in misplaced political and socio-economic priority, I seriously wonder what foundation we are laying for the kids still in elementary and nursery schools across Nigeria I usually tell my friends in Ekpan Community in Delta State who are always in the habit of fighting aimlessly and fruitlessly for one politician or the other that each one of them in the community is supposed to enjoy scholarships, free healthcare, youth financial empowerment and so on...the Warri Refinery we all hear in Nigeria today is located in Ekpan Community in Delta State...that's where the gas is flared! Instead of fighting for their rights which are supposed to be inalienable, they prefer to fight for the selfish interests of politicians who have sent their fresh-faced kids abroad to school! What an irony of life!!!All these probe this and probe that, EFCC this and ICPC that we hear everyday could be a formidable instrument to divert the minds of the youths from the real development that has been elusive for years! They are all charades of different colours!!! Let him who is without sin in the government cast the first stone. Until our youths wake up from this shameful sleep, people like Audu Ogbeh and the likes will continue to trend powerfully in Nigerian politics, occupying positions that are supposed to be for the new generation. |

Being a bachelor in our society can sometimes come with certain pains and deprivations! . Well, it is all good sha! Some things are better to be experienced than for you to be told If you still think only ladies share from it, you are on a long thing!1) When you go to the market to buy foodstuffs, the traders notice you easily as a bachelor and some would want to use that as an opportunity to make abnormal profits off you, especially, when you don't have a regular customer you buy from! If na for me, market fall press them because I sabi price well well o! I fit price your 500Naira fish for 150Naira!!! . Na joke I dey o!2) You close from work after a hard day's job, feeling tired and weak but you still have to prepare what to eat...unless you want to settle for junk foods such as Akara and bread or bread and fanta (Truckman's sandwich) ![]() 3) You open your facebook page and it seems everyone you knew out there back in school is getting married! You just feel like uploading your marriage pics too! ![]() 4) You are having a swell time in the office and a naughty colleague of yours throws in a joke of you being a 'Manchelor' without realizing the mental effect of it. What do you do? You laugh it off...apply humour! ![]() 5) Family people are sharing things and they give you a small portion...before you make an attempt to complain, someone stands up to remind you that you are not married yet, that those that got bigger portions are family men. 6) You hardly tell your landlord that you don't have money for utility bills yet; he is bound to ask you: 'You dor marry?' 'Do you have kids you feed?' 'Wetin you dey use money dey do?' See me see problem o! So I don't have personal expenses because I am not married? ![]() 7) They inaugurate a committee in your company and they give the key roles to the married folks who are less competent than you! Why? The management think they are more responsible Error!!!8. When you are very free and open, neighbours, especially, the female ones, take advantage. They enter your crib at random, open your freezer and help themselves with beverages and foods! Who go challenge dem? ![]() 9) Sometimes when you do business with married folks, they want to take advantage of it as they feel they need more money than you since they have mouths to feed. Ogbeni, stop it! Na me give your wife belle to born children? ![]() 10) Friends keep pointing out girls they know that can make good wives. When some see you chilling with a babe, they secretly tell you, 'Dis one fit you o! Marry am na'!!! Without even knowing who she is. So e mean say me no get eyes and mind of my own again? ![]() 2016...Lips sealed!!! ![]() |
