If you are on this forum and you are from Edo State of Nigeria, please don't take this so personal! It's just something I have observed and which I believe others must have observed too.

I stayed in Edo State for some couple of years and during my stay, I discovered that there are more landladies than landlords!!! How come? What happened to the real owners of the houses? (Especially, the capital, Benin City). Just ask and you will be told that the husbands of these women (landladies) have died...most of them died mysteriously!!! There's a possibility, which is very high too, that these women murder their husbands just to assume the position of landladies; they don't even care if the house is a face me-I-face you house...all they know is 'Am the landlady' grin

What's your take on this? Has anyone noticed this practice?

Nigerians!!! People gathered and were insulting the biological mother of the baby whom they don't even know, instead of giving the child a sound medical attention! I know some foolish people would be there taking photographs of the baby so they could upload them on social network! What a pity!

The major ish about these schools is networking. And of cause the kids get to school under conditions they are used to. Not hostels where there is never light and the school cannot afford to put on the gen for long. Teachers don't speak vernacular to students and lots more. Besides the get to write IGSCE and get admitted into universities abroad. If I have the money I will pay much more.

The most sensible post I have read so far on this thread! Children that attend these schools find things easier in life due to the peeps they have known. I swear, poverty can turn some people's brains upside down!
