As Nigeria is heading towards self sustainability on grains production on commercial basis in order to forestall foreign grains import like rice, millets, polished beans etc there is need for us to perfect our production levels to optimal satisfaction that will make it generally acceptable among the local population. Take rice for instance, most of our locally produced rice comes with many impurities like sand, stones and the likes they also appear dirty and not rich in taste when cooked same.things apply to some of.our other grain produce like maize, millets, beans, etc.

in terms of economic,infrastructures, job&business opportunities, social life and all-round exposure it is abeokuta but interms of tranquility, clean city and cheaper cost of living , it is ilorin

There was this debate started somewhere and sometimes ago about a certain city called Ilorin in Kwara State and the ancient city of Abeokuta in Ogun State on which of these two cities is more beautiful and well planned infrastructural wise. Ilorin boasts of an International Airport, Kwara hotel, flower gardens, Shoprite, one of the biggest central mosque, Kwara Stadium, famous University of Ilorin, International Central Diagnostic Laboratory, Agricultural training institute, Ganmo, Unilorin Radio station, well paved inter street road networks, Asa Dam, working street lights, organised transportation systems (Kwara Express), Tuyil Pharmacy, Songha farms, many more infrastructures and others too numerous to mention. Abeokuta on the other hand boasts of other numerous infrastructures like estates at Kuto, gateway hotel, famous Olumo Rocks, roads networks, cultural centre, etc

I am of the firm belief that those who have been to these two cities can testify with strong reasons which of these two cities is the best in term of aesthetic and structures. Please contributions with pictorial evidences and convincing remarks will be appreciated!

Moreover, three kings reigned in Ife after Oduduwa who are called Obalufon, viz.

1st Obalufon --- 2nd Ooni: Obalufon Ogbogbodirin a.k.a. Osangangan-Obamakin.

Indigenous Yoruba scholars today, such as Professor S. Adebanji Akintoye, argue that he is the same king of Ife called Ogun.

NB: There are other Oguns in Ife who were not necessarily kings.

2nd Obalufon --- 3rd Ooni: Obalufon Alaiyemore.

A cast of what this man looks exactly like still exist till date. See the attached screenshot below to see what he looked like.

He is credited, in Ife traditions, as the one who "introduced" the technique of metal casting to Ife.

3rd Obalufon --- 4th Ooni: Obalufon Ejigimogun.

These guys are the children of one another in that order. So, which of these three men do you refer to?


Having said that, I had earlier attached two pictures of two different ancient Ife bronze artefacts, each of which clearly represents two different individuals.

More that that, each of the two different individuals come from a different early Ife dynastic line as will be demonstrated below:

Scholars are in agreement today that one of the two early Ife dynastic lines had the practice of vertical parallel facial scarification, while the other didn't.

Cornelius O. Adepegba (1976) et al., on one hand, argues that the vertical parallel facial scarification belonged to the Oduduwa dynastic line in Ife.

But Suzanne P. Blier 2012 et al. on the other hand, more recently, argues for the opposite --- i.e. that this practice of vertical parallel facial scarification belonged to the earlier Ife dynastic line.

Regardless of which is correct, there is however a consensus that the practices (of vertical parallel facial scarification, and of NO vertical parallel facial scarification) relate respectively to two different dynastic lines of Ife.



In light of this background, I humbly ask:

How then can this regalia be exclusive to a certain Obalufon (fom the earlier dynastic line) when the same regalia is obviously seen (from the hard surviving archaeological evidence I had attached earlier) on another Ooni from the Oduduwa dynastic line (if not Oduduwa himself)??

Please clear this up for me with authoritative historical evidence.


Moreover, just to be quite assertive, this regalia is not exclusive to any certain Obalufon. Rather, it is the unique distinctive regalia of of all the Oonis of Ife since the earliest times.

In addition to the evidence of the two different bronze casts I have already adduced, the following is an additional piece of evidence:

The Ife dynastic line which established the Eweka dynastic line of Benin is the Oduduwa's, through Oranmiyan, right? Yes!

The second attached screenshot below is the figure an Ooni of Ife who was reigning at a period in history when the Eweka dynastic line had already been established in Benin kingdom.

This same regalia under discussion is depicted by this attached figure of the Ooni, and it which was dug up by a team archaeologists from the ancient Oba palace at Benin kingdom.

This figure of the Ooni stood in the then Oba of Benin palace as a symbol of the authority, suzerainty, and imperialism of this overlord, i.e. the Ooni of Ife.

That's the difference between federalism and feeding bottle parasitism.
While United States operate federalism where each constituent state in the union have total control over their economic resources (economic activities and revenue generation and pay tax to the centre) and develop at their own pace, Nigeria operates a feeding bottle program where every state is handicaped to control of economic activities and recources in their areas and made to congregrate every month in Abuja for monthly allocation. This explains the absence of creativity and productivity considering the monthly flow of free oil money. Take away monthly allocation and 90 percent of states in Nigeria will die a natural death.

It will interest some people to know that states in America have;
- Their own supreme courts.
- They have their own state polic force (notably NYPD - Newyork Police Department).
- They own all natural recources domicile in their states.
The productivity and economic advancement of America was not by accident, they were made possible by cardinal principles vested on their states as listed above.

No they don't have their own Supreme Court in each state but only in Washington DC they have Senate in each state though and other govt institutions but only one Supreme Court thank you

What a strange and wasteful system of government draining the lean resources of a great nation.

This is Mai-Adua border, I know the town very well, because I worked in Mai-Adua Technical college as a contractor under Gaskiya Welding and Fabrication works, so I know Mai-Adua town very well.

Mai-Adua is not too far from Daura Buhari's home town, infact people use to take bicycle from Daura to Mai-Adua, because it is not too far, some times because many of our people have not been to the core north, when we try to tell them that Nigeria is not one, they find it difficult to believe.

Look at this picture, is it possible for we the Yorubas, Igbos, to line up like this from Benin Republic, or Abidjan to Nigeria? We all know that it is not possible, because the Cabal Custom will kill almost if not all the Okada riders.

But look at these ones, this is Mai-Adua, a neighbouring town of Daura, Buhari's home town, in Mai-Adua's market, they spend two types of money (currency); Nigerian's currency, and Niger's currency.

But here in the Souths, we all know that something like that is never possible, because we have been under the siege of our slave masters a long time ago, the unfortunate thing is that most of my Yoruba brothers and sisters don't want to be free, some because of Religion, some because of Politics, some because of the fear of the Oligarchy up North who are the strange Cabals.

If the terrorists family within the goverment tells you that they are closing borders, you should know that it is the borders in the Souths, the borders are, (1) Idiroko/Seme borders in Lagos state, (2) Bakassi border, Cross Rivers State, (3) Chikanda border, Kwara State, (4) Shaki border, Oyo State, (5) Abeokuta border, Ogun State.

These are the borders they mount pressures on to make the none-terrorists poor, so that terrorists from the northern part of Nigeria can be more richer than us, and the reason for this is to take over Nigeria systematically, because they know that a poor tribe have no say in the presence of the rich tribe.

Though many of our southern leader fail to understand that if most of your people are poor, one day it will surely affect you, most of Yoruba and Igbo politicians fail to understand that the person that use you to oppress your people today, will come for you one day, it is just a matter of time. The enemies of your tribe will come for your head one day, after they have use you to destroy yourself unknowingly.

Lots of Nigerians have no clue about economics so when a government in power says we are banning xzy to increase local production, we hail the government.

Since 1999, successive governments have talked about diversifying Nigeria's economy but none of them have shown they have a clue about what they are talking about.

To diversify the economy, you need to increase the spending power of your citizens and no I am not talking about increasing salaries.
Nigerians spend a large percentage of their wages on food and then when you factor in the cost of housing for the population, you realize that there's nothing left to spend on other things which means you can't diversify the economy.

The myth that banning rice and other foodstuff is good for Nigeria is busted the moment you look at cement, Yam and poultry.

Nigeria is the largest producer of yam in world but ask anyone on the street and they will tell you yams are expensive.

Same thing with cement. Obj banned the importation of cement and made Dangote a billionaire but the average Nigerian did not benefit from it. Cement is way cheaper in other African countries than it is in Nigeria so the housing deficit in Nigeria is self inflicted.

The rice ban would go the way of cement... A few millionaires would rise but a larger number of people would get poorer because they'll be spending more on food and less on other things like health and education.

A sensible government would ask why it is cheaper to buy rice from Thailand, pay transportation cost, pay import duty and still be cheaper than growing it in Nigeria.


There's a reason why the free market system is currently the best in the world.
To illustrate my point:

In Ontario a 10kg bag of rice cost about $11 while the minimum wage is $12/h.
After a days work, the minimum wage worker can comfortable by a 50kg bag of rice for his family while in Nigeria, someone on minimum wage would have to spend his whole salary just to buy rice.

The best way to fight corruption in Nigeria is to make food so cheap people no longer have to worry about feeding their families.

Good morning bro.
I just read a post you forwarded on the platform.
In the post about 4 States are producing rice out of 36. I believe concentration of production should be on produce a country has comparative advantage in. The cost of production of rice in the south is high and farmers have moved away from rice due to problem of birds.
When starch importation was stopped cassava rose to 50k per ton but now its just 15k per ton, factory gate price.
To boost production of rice in the south, Akinwunmi Adesina allocated a giant rice mill to a former head of state who is also a farmer and I was a member of project Planning Committee holding meetings regularly . When it was time to start planting and bring the Processing Mill Buhari came in and diverted the Mill, since then no meeting on the Project.
Inputs support to farmers on various interventions usually come after planting. Just imagine bringing rice seed and fertilizer in August when farmers have planted in April.
We are in the same country where Sasakawa is taking place every year in the North but was stopped in the South. Thanks to Akinwunmi Adesina that extended Value Chain Development Program to the South. Their strategy is to make the South depends on the North for food so that when it is time to deal with the South food would be the major weapon to achieve their aim. We should not be sleeping.
