whatlyf: I want to assume that you are someone in the political circle or business circle. If he was Private Individual donating N21m monthly, I will still repeat that the EFCC ask him some questions. Bros,It's about accountability not witch-hunt. It is about protecting his image and reputation rather than being accused "wrongly" of mismanagement of Public funds. If i were to Advise him, I will tell him to shelve the plans and support the Chapters through a more transparent means. I hope his Image Managers handle this properly. Meanwhile, I agree with you that the Jonathanians have no moral right to question Okorocha's "gesture" because they are the same people cheering TAN that has spent BILLIONS on TV Adverts, Payment of Salaries/Allowances of recruits, Social Media propaganda and their shameful rallies/man match.
Lets agree to disagree on this one. I maintain that he was promoting his political interests by supporting the APC. Imoilites with genuine concerns however, have the right to question the source of the funds.
Politics › Re: Rochas Begins Monthly Million Naira Donation To APC state chapters by Rawani: 8:37am On Aug 28, 2014
whatlyf: With due respect to your opinion I beg to disagree with you. Rochas is a public official elected by Imolites. He's answerable first to Imolites before any other group. The monthly 21m is from which coffers? Imo State or his business? If Imo State then that amount to misappropriation of state funds, if his own personal then EFCC should quiz him on his source of funds and businesses.
I have known Rochas to be a successful multi-milliionaire before he ventured into politics and I believe he is making this contribution to his party as a party member in a bid to support his party. This same donation could still have been made if he was a private individual as he would be investing in his political future. I agree that Imolites should be concerned about the source of funding, but i expect them to give him the benefit of doubt since he is quite capable of such a financial commitment privately. I was particularly pointing out the hypocrisy of people who have not asked for the source of the massive funds being disbursed through the TAN programme, which just shows that their protests are not genuine and have political undertones. Thanks for your civility in expressing your objections, that is not common around here. Cheers.
Politics › Re: Fulani's Are Also Colonialists They Should Go.- Asari Dokubo by Rawani:
The Islamic Terrorist has opened his mouth again. It is only under such a lawless administration that a rebel, a deluded and cerebrally challenged anarchist will have the temerity to add his toadish voice to matters of national discourse. He is too ignorant to know that Nigeria is only a geographical representation of ethnic nations that were brought together for administrative purposes. Of course the Fulani were migrant warriors just like the Romans and the British. Going by his Ogogoro logic, Americans should leave their land for the native Americans and return to Britain. Rubbish.

Experience and Wisdom cannot be bought. He who does not know from where he comes, is bound to be confused about where he is going. GEJ should appreciate the patriotic maturity displayed by OBJ to come and give advice, regardless of several refusals to heed his admonitions.

Nigeria has tremendous Gold deposits and small scale mining activities are taking place in parts of the North and SW.

Mineral resources that are present in Nigeria but not yet fully exploited are coal and tin. Other natural resources in the country include iron ore, limestone, niobium, lead, zinc, and arable land. Agricultural products include groundnuts, palm oil, cocoa, coconut, citrus fruits, maize, millet, cassava, yams and sugar cane. Nigeria also has a booming leather and textile industry, with industries located in Kano, Abeokuta, Onitsha, and Lagos.

Politics › Re: States and their Solid Minerals by Rawani(op): 6:52am On Aug 28, 2014
There are tremendous opportunities for investments in the solid mineral sector in Nigeria. Prospecting licenses for investors (both local and foreign) to participate in the exploitation of the vast mineral resources in Nigeria is granted by the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals.

Politics › States and their Solid Minerals by Rawani(op):
Nigeria is richly endowed with a variety of solid minerals of various categories ranging from precious metals to various stones and also industrial minerals such as barytes , gypsum, kaolin and marble. Much of these are yet to be exploited. Statistically, the level of exploitation of these minerals is very low in relation to the extent of deposits found in the country. One of the objectives of the new National Policy on Solid Minerals is to ensure the orderly development of the mineral resources of the country.

These Cankerworms are passionately ignorant. He said he wants to give party members a sense of belonging in states that are not APC ruled. Rochas is teaching the SE politics of inclusion, which is the only kind of politics that can rescue the SE from the pit of political irrelevance, but trust dimwits to cry foul. Is the N10,000 TAN is sharing coming from the fisherman's sales? Hypocrites.

Politics › Re: The BAD IMAGE Of Nigeria Is Caused By The Way Nigerians Present Nigeria by Rawani:
The OP did not remember the role of the foreign media, constantly dishing out skewed documentaries and choosing the most delapidated backdrops for their news reports. You should have watched "Nigeria's Hidden War", a documentary on Boko Haram which was shown last week on Channel 4 and broadcast all over the UK. The documentary, which showed graphic never-seen-before scenes of extra-judicial killings and beheadings by Nigerian soldiers and civilian JTF, while ignoring the massacres of the blood sucking terrorists, did more damage to our image that any other i have watched. The comments on twitter about Nigeria because of that documentary till date are scalding and re-inforced the prejudices some foreigners had about Nigeria. At a point, it was claimed that our soldiers summarily executed over 600 suspected insurgents (whom they termed as innocent because they had not been tried) in one day. The foreign media does unfathomable damage to our image worldwide.
Business › Re: Non-oil Exports Increase By 16% by Rawani:
Impressive. If this trend continues, we may eventually wean ourselves of our thirst for oil. Agriculture is key, Mining of solid minerals has to be intensified in earnest so that the massive gold deposits present in the rich soils of the North down to the South, among other minerals like uranium, can be finally exploited.

pazienza: PAN is a peageot ASSEMBLY plant established after the war by Gowon in 1972. What exactly is ASD motors?
Of course its an assembly. What car factory isn't? You think innoson manufactures his brake pads?

ASD Motors, an indigenous company owned by Alhaji Sani Dauda. acquired PAN in 2006 for $32 million. Kaduna has been producing cars since 1975.

pazienza: Cocoa a major export of SW in the past? Yes, in the present? No. Prove me wrong by providing me with a source showing current cocoa producing states in Nigeria.

Dangote remains a front man and living testment of the North's four decades hold on Nigerian politics and Economy, his case had long been analyzed on this forum.

SE possess and contribute the best mankind can offer, ie Human resources, an essential ingredient for development.

SE through Aba produce wide range of houshold materials used in Nigeria.

SE remains a producer of Agricultural products like Cocoa, rubber and Cassava.

Even for all the evil plans of the country that balkanized Igboland and took most the oil producing territories out of the SE,the SE still contribute to crude oil earnings of the country.

pazienza: Prophetone. You will make a good comedian. Haha!

Cocoa production is not done only in SW. SE and SS states do produce cocoa too.

Rubber production is mainly in Edo and Delta states, SW like SE are minor producers of Rubber.

Footwears? Ever heard of Aba shoes? *grins*

What exactly do you mean by Sw and North producing cigarettes?

On dangote and cement ish, Ndiigbo have enough limestone deposite. Dangote's position is not unrelated to the North's control of Nigeria's politics for decades, and not because he is a better business man than Ibeto.
I honestly admire the commitment and sagacity that you effectively invest in deluding yourself. Cocoa is a major cash crop of the SW, don't steal that from them like you're trying to steal their deputy-governorship. Rubber, as you have established, is a SS affair. When you speak export quality footwear, you talk rubber and leather (North/SS) and not Tony Hinfingerer. Dangote is not just the most succesful business man in Nigeria, but Africa. So please place Ibeto on the sidelines of the likes of De Beers of SA. The question then remains, what does the SE produce beyond crime?

But

I pity millions of Arewas who live without hope and see suicide for Allah as the only respite out of pain
I pity them too, I hope they and the 38 million southerners (59% of 65 million) get succour from the failure of leadership plaguing our country. Too bad Ibeto did not belong to a politically superior region.

Secondly, ever since we got into Democracy, the North have been playing secon fedle fiddle.
Kindly list the founding members, key actors and principal officers of the two relevant political parties in Nigeria. Dangote feeds you, and his taxes grow the economy. The only 2 Nigerians on the Forbes list are northerners. The contribution of agriculture to the GDP is increasing and northerners are building Ultra-Modern Farms left, right and center. Northerners are not chestbeaters. Marry these phrases and go figure.
