HELP ME GET A JOB

I was born and bred in Lagos Nigeria. i am over 30 but swimming in poverty. i attended a university in Ogun state but i dropped out due to the loss of my mother who happened to be my sponsor back then. My father died before i was 4years old so i had no one to fall back on. I am the only child and life has been so cruel to me. I have no job at hand. My fathers family has taken possession of his property at Agege Lagos because they insist my mother had me for another man due to stories i'm hearing for the first time since my parent's demise. The story of my life is so wide, bitter and depressing. The moral of my epistle is that i need a casual job to survive. I am contemplating suicide at the moment and i almost drank sniper insecticide today. This is my last attempt at survival before i do the needful on my existence. Nairalanders please help me find any legal job be it unskilled labour. I have tried and tried but to no avail. Pardon me for been incoherent. I am a depressed soul waiting to see if my life can have a second chance.

This is not fraud nor scam. if you really want to know how real my story is kindly send me a private message.
I weep inwards.

May God come to your rescue. Help cometh from him alone.

PoliticsRe: Change Under Buhari And Transformation Under GEJ (photo) by realborn(m):
My Opinion:

A. Change under GEJ
- Nigerians were told what the government felt we wanted to hear. Hence the headline
- the same TSA that majority of the MDA's did not adhere to? How could that have generated any savings?
- the headline was in future tense, thus prophetic at the time in Jan 2015. It represented what will happen after GEJ gets eventually kicked out, and a serious government comes on board

B. Change under Buhari
- a frugal system in place.
- implementation of TSA led to exposure of looted funds, hence actual tangible and measurable recovery of some money. No speculation.
- government that understands its responsibilities.
- not all talk, but some action in progress.

NB:
Same CBN governor under both governments, different results.

I am sure there is no need for brain surgery to spot the difference.

Op good excerpts. Thanks for sharing.

It is a phase that will pass.

This is the season. What the government of the affected states should be doing is making efforts to have these demonstrators conduct themselves in an orderly manner.

If the demonstrations are not suitably planned with a proposed start and finish itinerary, the economic reality of shutting their businesses will send everyone back to work.

It is baseless dispersing with bullets. Any wise government will know that with ghe increasing agitations, there is cause for alarm.

You voted Buhari ,you voted in mediocrity so call him or forever hold your peace
We should not be of lily minds.

Voting someone does not mean you will no longer demand accountability.

We should pray not to be conscience blind. It is only at this time that we forever remain partisan.

Yes I supported Buhari over Jonathan during the last elections. If Buhari is mediocrity, then Jonathan was an epitome of everything that should have ended at the local council. I'm sure you will agree that the media was not any better under him. He contributed directly, 5 years to this ruin that Nigeria is today, hence his sack. Buhari has barely contributed 6 months. Trust you can do the maths.

So far, I will continue to lend my support and voice until Nigeria gets better... smiley

In a very sane country, the media will be all over the place at least for 3 days, carrying out fact finding investigations on the cause, speaking to industry experts, statutory regulatory officials/stakeholders, passengers etc.

Here in Nigeria, it ends as a near miss reported on LindaBlog, VivianGist and Nairaland.

Tough, very tough to comprehend the country we live in!

Soon I will need a visa stamp on my passport to see Chiemezie my work partner in Ph; to attend Fedi old boys in Enugu.

The proponents of vision 2020, 15 years ago, truly saw a vision. But interpreted wrongly. The vision is the birth of a new country 50 years after the end of the Civil War.

It will mark the end to the unjust political mock-up of the present Nigeria. It will mark and herald the road to competitive development of all subdivided regions.

I see Vision 2050.

I see focus on West Africa!

PoliticsRe: Explaing This Picture And Get #750 Recharge Card by realborn(m): 1:18pm On Nov 05, 2015
The picture in my opinion can be applied to the following:

1. A poor Country (the uncladness of the character infers this) that spends and depletes all its resources on recurrent expenditure instead of capital expenditure (characterized by burning of the wooden treads for short term heat, instead of climbing over the wall and making efforts to turn the world on the other side for his purpose. Moreso, if he had climbed out, it is possible for him to use the entire ladder for fire while he develops the new world. He is obviously content with the present but temporal comfort zone with no means of escape. Sad sad). Someday there will be no more resources left. The Country would be left to starve to death.

2. A worker that obtains loans to buy liabilities and repays with his savings which should have been his exit plan from such paid employment - Luxury Cars, goods, clothes, etc. He would enjoy the temporal benefits but will suffer in the long run.

3. A choice between Education and Immediate Comfort - Most of us are very comfortable with getting all we need to make us comfortable at the moment. We will rather deploy our resources for enjoyment now than improve on our cerebral capacity. We are dumbly content with our present employment, status, position and will rather continue to live life as it is than take an appropriate measure to step up the ladder through education. Good education is the only key process to guarantee to a reasonable extent (60% and above) an apposite future.

4. In two words - "Unsustainable Measures"

Who are the performing ones among the list, would you say?

Sentiments aside, I can't see any of them as a performer, for the life of me.

The most visible among the lot for example, IGP Solomom Arase, has a confusing personality, without liver - so he is non-effective; he still lies like hell in his accounts of happenings in the line of duty, just like a typical Nigerian policeman/woman that most of us know. What he's more famous for, is just a wide, sheepish smile at the President for the camera. Time to go, abegi!

True to fact I have not appraised the performance of the due-to-be affected appointees. There may be a dozen of them not known to me.

My advocacy is for objectivity over partisanship when the decision to relieve them is reached.

I trust there will be few diligent ones...
PoliticsRe: IGP Arase, Obi, Ahmed, Others May Be Sacked- Daily Trust by realborn(m):
It will be foolhardy and bullheaded to sack any competent and performing appointee on the altar of politics.

I think the good ones should be kept. The bad ones can be let off.

Can somebody tell this man to shut the hell up and start working. Or was it not this same broke country the previous administration managed without blaming the govt before it.

This man is tall but very short in ideas.
No my brother.

It is not the same country at all. Previous administrations enjoyed the "good oil boom days". Where crude oil sold for over $100. Unfortunately it was a bazaar of some sorts until prices fell badly and eventually the irresponsible party was also kicked out. At this time it was obvious the deed had been done. The treasury had been mismanaged.

I think the President's brutal honesty should not be the crux. The focus should be what his government is doing with the reality on ground to move the economy forward. What are the projections? What are the short and long term plans?

The biggest challenge this government will face is effective communication. I sincerely hope when Ministers resume, there will be progress. In my opinion, this is the last joker!
PoliticsRe: Market Women In Rivers State Protest Nullification Of Wike's Election (photos) by realborn(m): 5:25pm On Oct 29, 2015
My opinion:

I affirm the verdicts of the tribunals that annulled Wike's and the affected House of Assembly members' election on the basis of violence and malpractices. We heard stories and saw pictures and videos.

Notwithstanding, I absolutely doubt the possibility of APC winning votes over PDP in Rivers State. The picture is as clear as Jonathan (the incumbent at the time) losing to Buhari.

APC supporters in Rivers State are growing daily but not enough to pull the expected surprise.

I think Mr Amaechi's arrogant and garrulous behavior when he switched parties affected his rating. Only the enlightened truly believe him. Most of the grassroot electorates (a larger % of voters) have taken the entire issue as a cultural one hence tough for Dakuku to garner any superior votes over Wike.

The elections in Bayelsa if earlier may have an impact on the orientation of voters if APC wins there. But I doubt the possibility. APC is close to a taboo in the South South. How Rochas won in the South East is still baffling.

To this end, I enjoin Mr Wike (though I do not like his personality and party) not to waste resources sponsoring protests. He should promptly organise a rerun a WIN. The more he delays, the more he introduces "spoiler" factors.

My 2 cents...

Buhari should select another candidate then.

PoliticsRe: Reuben Abati, Femi Adesina In War Of Words Over Jonathan, Buhari by realborn(m):
It is mind boggling how anyone will make efforts to defend the last administration with evidence of maladministration confirmed by Iweala and Clark, key players of the administration.

Surprising how anyone will say the insurgents are stronger today, when in the last administration they ruled in local governments with absolute impunity unabated in contrast to today when their activities are planned in hiding. Anyone who is learned will know that the indecision and lack of direction by the past administration led to the monumental growth of this menace. How anyone who has been following the insurgency will expect it to be quenched in 5 months by a new administration is shocking. Damn, there are truly bitter enemies.

It is hypocritical to see people who had no qualms with Wike and Obanikoro being Ministers under Jonathan complain with loathe about Buhari's list.

It is sad to see people who did not see any problem with 80% or more of the budget spent on recurring expenditure for several years criticized with angst the economic measures of this young administration.

In 5 months Buhari, despite his shortcomings, has proven to be a better leader than a feckless and inept Jonathan who spent 5 years.

My 2 cents!
PoliticsRe: Bow, Go, And Disrespect Not Nigeria, By Pius Adesanmi by realborn(m):
My opinion:

Yes, it would have made some sense to append portfolios to each nominee. However, the author will be economical with the truth if he says the process has been a farce. I absolutely disagree.

I shared the author's sentiments of focus in deference to a portfolio when I watched Audu Ogbeh being screened; by the end of his screening and had a rethink that interviewing the nominees on the basis of their education and past experiences was in itself not a bad idea too.

For the first time, I saw Nigerian Senators duly concerned with some asking very pertinent questions to ascertain the readiness of the nominees.

There are obvious rooms for improvement. However, I am excited that a new strategy to screening Ministerial nominees has started. First of its kind. I am very sure it will get better in subsequent related sessions in the future. For once all Nigerians from all cadre get to know the profile of their intending Ministers. If only for the sake of this process, the nominees sure damn know it is no longer business as usual.

It is preposterous and derisory to see commentators who had no objection to the past marauding tradition of nominees dancing into the chamber like learning masquerades, nod like a lizard and without any questioning will be asked to go; such commentators now write epistles of sorts. Their desires in my opinion are fueled by flaws, oiled by bitterness and greased by antipathy. The shock of the defeat of the previous administration is still taking an adverse toll on them and theirs.

The author could have simply contributed to the epoch process in few words: "Appending portfolios to nominees will enhance the newly embraced excellent process of screening Ministerial nominees, FG kindly take note". This is the difference between subjective views and objective views.
PoliticsRe: UPDATE On Rotimi Amechi's Screening by realborn(m): 4:34pm On Oct 15, 2015

He should answer all allegations against him aptly to the satisfaction of the ethics committee. He should be made to pay the price if convicted in the future by the courts.

May God bless you Op.

After reading your excerpts, I read all wiki had on Thomas Sankara. I was overwhelmed. He achieved more in 4 years than his friend, coup masterminder (resulting in his death) and successor, Blaise Compaore achieved in 27 years.

Today marks 28 years of his demise. I am inspired and motivated. My favorite effort exuded by him was his decision toward agrarian sufficiency which led to food surplus from a state of inadequacy within 4 years.

His views and policies on women rights, simplistic life style, zero tolerance for corruption, local redistribution of land and abrogation of forced labour are commendable.

Apt!
