From my understanding of what the post imply is to do with cheating on the marriage not poligamy. In the early life there as polygamy but no infidelity and if you study early life well there was were political, economical reasons behind poligamy and the most important of all was men then are real men, faithful, bold, strong etc.

I would not suggest you foce her to go to church. At 13 and claiming she is atheist shows she is a bit confused probably because of the so many faces of christianity and each seem to be at each other's neck. Make sure you go into parent to mother kind of discussion, let her tell you all her beliefs and even atheist and why she come to that conclusion. You will be able to get some things out from that and even from her own words she will realise that there is GOD inrespective of what religions belief it fits.
