The society determines when marriage is said to have occurred. In this case, there is clearly a disagreement between the religious and traditional aspects of the society on when marriage is said to have occurred. As this fight of superiority between the two continues, anybody who pitches tent with either is right.
The bride's father is a wise man. He sent a clear message...stating where his tent is pitched

Anitatunde: Part 5 and Final.
1 week to my release date, I received various death threats from all corners. The prison warden which I slept with also started acting crazy.
The guy think say prison na my house because he was sad and convinced me to stay back, abi you Dey mad ni Omo prison warden.
How do you expect me to give up my freedom and chose to stay in prison. Since the threats was coming left and right, I had to personally request to be moved to a different prison. But it was bounced.
The night to my release was the longest night. I couldn’t sleep all night because I don’t know what’s next for me. I stayed up all night.
Finally it was day break, 6am sharp, I was called up after doing all paper works and stuff. I booked a flight straight to MMIA Lagos from my savings in prison + other money at hand.
I was to be deported immediately. Police men took me to the airport like a celebrity, stayed with me till my flight was due.
They watched me enter the ✈️. I smiled and told one of the guys “I will be back”.
The story is longer than this but I had to summarize everything. I learnt a lot of lessons in my time in Tanzania, nobody loves Nigerians. They might like our music and movies but the hatred for Nigerians is very real.
Stay safe, stay blessed and be wise. Thanks for reading. Feel free to tag nairaland mods. I salute your courage to come out to write this. It takes a lot of inner strength for someone to come out and write her life story without hiding the negatives. Cheers OP By the way you write really well |

nlfpmod: As Explained by O'tega Ogra: 3. What's the benefit of this loan to Nigeria? The loan will assist NNPC Ltd. in settling taxes and royalties in advance. It will also equip the Federal Government with the necessary dollar liquidity to stabilize the Naira, with limited risk.
5. Will this affect fuel prices? A strengthened Naira as a result of this initiative will lead to a reduction in fuel costs. This means that if the Naira appreciates in value, the cost of fuel will drop and further increases will be halted.
OPEOLUWA also explains: Simply put, Afrexim is borrowing us $3 billion which will be used to help stabilize the naira in exchange for a daily quota of our crude oil production. These folks really think Nigerians are fools. You have sold our birthright to enrich your pockets and you want us to rejoice in it. You can imagine NNPC paying their taxes and royalties upfront and we still have to give out a quota of our oil to a lender for God-knows-how-many-yeara. You are borrowing to stabilize the Naira without any concrete plans in place to improve our manufacturing and export sectors. Kuku just tell us you are quickly getting back the billions you spent during the elections.
Who is deceiving who?

Let me tell you all nairaland members..please pass this message to your loved ones native doctors, prophet and pastors and other spiritual men are smart people They use the trick of "anything is possible " and the "time factor or time trick " to deceive people 1) everything is possible naturally that is why a native doctor or pastor will agree to do anything you are requesting from them to do 2) with "time" anything is possible....that is why a native doctor or pastor can not give a specific date and time his so called spiritual work will come... The difference between you and dangote is time..the difference between you and a dead man in the grave is time Not true (@bolded) You don't seem to know much about spiritual powers and it's connection with blood. Shedding human blood for power or other purposes has its side effects/consequences on the perpetrators.

Nice one from the senate. Tinubu has succeeded in embarrassing himself before the international community. How can you contemplate military invasion and even go a step further to get other ECOWAS countries to key into it when you know it is not completely within your power to fully actualize it? A wise leader would have first sought approval of the national assembly before going international to avoid this kind of embarrassment.

Hedonisco: You don't start a 'relationship' with any girl you met online. Anywhere online... Worst of all Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Nairaland, etc (in that order). Not to mention olosho sites like Tinder and the rest.
As a veteran in the game I can tell you that lots of correct 'relationshipable', marriageable girls are not active online. You have to meet and engage them in real life. The old fashioned way. Yeah they could have a Facebook account or something, but not really the types who live and breathe social media.
Any girl that is super active on these social media platforms is lost. Date or marry at your own risk. You do have a strong point. But shaa there are girls who are super active on social media but still keep their brains with them. But I agree that girls that live and breathe social media are not good relationship and marriage materials
