mywells: Really wow,how would that affect sanwo olu pls. In Nigerian legal system, presidential and gubernatorial seats are twin seats such that whatever affects the main candidate also affects the running mate and vice versa. A typical case is that of the 2019 Bayelsa gubernatorial election where David Lyon, the winner of the election was stopped from being sworn in because his deputy was disqualified for submitting a fake certificate

The lion is not necessarily the strongest in the animal kingdom but it's roar scares the shit out of every living animal. It's not called the king of the jungle for nothing. All these animals will lose their courage at the roar of a lion especially that of an angry lion. The anaconda stands no chance here. Without the roar and the fright it causes, the lion may not win in the fight especially with the bear as it is the heaviest animal here. The gorilla may not also survive a fight with the bear

Exactly To raid a whole national headquarters of EFCC without a single gunshot or any form of resistance reported means that the presidency was involved

Family › Re: I Stood Up To My Father by REALretep(m): 4:17pm On Jun 16, 2023 |
DamianDd: My dad is a really good guy, I love him so much and he's gentle most times. Though he gets angry sometimes but he's reasonable about everything he does.
I came home 11:30 which is very late and I knew that and I even hated it too that I came home this late so I was trying to avoid him even when he asked to come to his room because I had a gut feeling that things won't gi right.
But I ended up going to get my charger that was with him, then for the first 5 minutes in he was making sense about why I came home late and I was agreeing to it that it's true
Then all of a sudden he starts saying "what will people think?" "Neighbors are watching" "they'll start saying god forbid, like father like son" "I nor fit let my pikin be like this boy" "which kind family be this, see when their son dey come house?" "People are watching, people are judging" and even more words and it started getting annoying to me, then he said they will say "see when this small pikin dey come house"
It was at that moment that I shut it down, I've never been that way to him but it was so infuriating, I told him I'm not a child I'm 18 which is legal age, I work for my money, I make 50k to 300k a month on my own; no neighbors give me food when I'm hungry, the landlord doesn't clean my eyes when they hurt from viewing my phone too much so I don't give a Bleep what they think of me. I told him to not put all those orientations in my head because it affected me alot when I was younger and it made me timid and shy and scared of being myself or having different opinions and that's what I'm trying to fix in myself and my mindset now.
What I do feel bad about is last year I paid for the house rent and packing when I had alot of money, I brought it up when I was talking to him and said "I paid for this house with my own money so who is landlord or the neighbors for me to be sacred to come in and out of my own home, I know what I did is wrong and I'm sorry but don't put those bad thoughts in my head" I shouldn't have said that though by bringing up what I did for family. He only called me back and said "don't worry I won't talk to you anymore until I use my own money to pay for the house next time" I didn't say anything because i know I was wrong and nothing good would come out of talking back, I just left his room.
What's your thoughts on the matter? The conclusion of the matter is simply that it is time for you to leave your father's house and move into your own flat. If you keep staying, you may keep having avoidable problems with your dad which won't be good for the both of you

nextdoorpal: You see this drug? Pray you don't use it ever, Pentazocine is extremely addictive, the high feeling it gives is something else n it's ability to calm one down n induce sleep is on another level. Trying to discontinue it results in one becoming very weak, losing zeal to do virtually anything, pespirating badly. All this symptoms abate when you get a shot of it. It's a very crazy addiction that i'm hooked on too, one knows the resultant consequences buh getting off it is very very difficult. My doctor friend told me of a senior registra in a Federal government hospital that was hooked on this drug too, introduced to it by his wife, sad thing is this senior medical doctor, almost a consultant died courtesy this same drug.
I've also had a very good friend's younger brother pass away, it is believed he died after injecting this drug instantly, his arm was totally swollen n rotten from the shoulder down to the fingers n had to be wrapped in bandage 24/7. Please this is a huge cry n plea for help, medical professionals help us, prior to him coming through, believe me he's tried with all his will power n yet it's failed him. I was told o check into rehab in a federal university hospital n d cost of staying for the 3months or least 2months is very high n crazy. Jeeezzz 😰

Romance › Re: My Fiancee Is Acting Funny These Days by REALretep(m): 4:51pm On Jun 13, 2023 |
uzomakanaki: Fellow nairalanders, please I need advice from matured minds in this group.
I'm in a two year relationship with my woman, we're both working. I'm 34 while she's 27. My montly salary and commision is over 200k with other side hustle i do that bring in funds for me, i also just got a car i want to register with bolt/uber to still bring in funds in my free time.
My fiancee on the other hand is earning 75k monthly. I take good care of her needs and makes sure she doesn't lack anything I can afford.
We both plan to settle down by December.
Sometimes last month she missed her period, after the test we discovered she's 5 weeks pregnant.
I'm against abortion because of the dangers involved in the aftermath, i suggested she keep the baby while I come and see her family and do some necessary things before the main wedding. But she insisted in aborting the baby, reason being that she can't be pregnant and be working. Unless I place her on a monthly salary.
She has aborted the baby and had complications because of the quack nurse that performed the abortion. I spent a lot to make her back on her feet
I'm gradually losing interest in the relationship cos that single act of her. I've kept this to myself.
I just need advice on how to handle this. Cos I'm already fed up with her with her recent disrespect and the way she talks to me anyhow even in public. The matter tie gele You guys are already starting on a faulty foundation.
You need to define clearly what you want in a woman you want to spend the rest of your life with and what you expect of her. You also need to define clearly the type and nature of foundation you want to build for your family.
If you are still confused, then ask Jesus Christ to help you. He's ever ready to help you if you are willing to obey his commands.

Senioreddy: The NDIC is an affiliate of the CBN and as such is not out of place for the CBN governor to appoint the DG of the NDIC. This is because the CBN is Apex bank responsible for the supervision of financial institutions in the country
This doesn't in anyway undermine the presidency NDIC is not an affiliate of CBN. I don't know where you got this notion from. I understand that this doesn't undermine the presidency but let's base our statements on facts and truths please. NDIC is an insurance company, not a bank. CBN has no business regulating an insurance company or even recommending the head of the organization. NAICOM is the government agency responsible for insurance business sef.

purples25: Men misbehave but there is no reason for cheating. If a woman gets tired of a man it is better to leave than to cheat.
Having kids and cheating is worse. The kids will be affected by the action of cheating. That's where they suffer that indignity of daddy looking at them twice because he's not sure they are his. Etc, etc. Its like the way to kill a man is to cheat on him.
I would like this life to be fair, but its not. In a place like Nigeria, it's mostly the woman cheating the man that loses mostly, not the other way round. The man is the one that won't forgive, that will end the union when cheated on, he may likely refuse to accept her back.
If a woman in naija wants to cheat, it is good to have in mind that this is the end of that union. Just start thinking out plan B, because the man go form emotional, she will experience real life zee world, Nollywood and horror story in one. Not as if they can't forgive, but even that forgiveness will be a very painful rocky journey for her. Wow How did you know this? You just revealed some deep knowledge which I didn't know women could relate with especially in this era of feminism, women emancipation and gender equality
