The reason why most of theother pastor have not joined is simply because the thieving politicians still pay tithes to these pastors and these pastors does not have the moral right to condemn their political customers cum members.
Its terribly sad and fearful when I read how twisted some peoples comments here as concernning Tunde Bakare's involvement in this protest.
Nigerian clergy and their followers are the major problem affecting the emancipation of the country at large.When ur Pastors brainwash to the point that you can not question ur pastor in the light of their failed and wrong doing that simply is the hight of religion.
Its only an uninformed Christian would be expecting me to quote the bible or history of christian leaders involvement in bringing sanity to their variuos country.Even if it means the death of such christian leaders that in itself would ultimately bring the deliverance and salvation the people yearns for.

Akingbola being seemingly more liquid than Lagos (richest state in Nigeria by overall GDP) is a more salient isssue than the tribalism sh-it I am reading here. I am not angry with Erastus for being a thief- he isn't the only thief Nigeria has produced. I am angry that he deceived us with his pastorial claims. Ibori and Ibru at least are not falsely religious as Erastus. I wonder what the other THIEF BISHOP Adeboye of RCCG who has benefitted immensely from THIEF AKINGBOLA has to say about this. Sometimes I really miss not being a journalist. I have so many questions to ask.

Soludo remains the principal culprit of the present situation of Nigerian economy at large,,the banking industry inclusive.Even a primary school student was able to prove him wrong last year when he continued to tell lies about the precarious state of Nigeria economy and as well as fundamentally porous state of Nigerian banks.
To prove to commentators here that soludo failed in his responsibilties,,,People should go and pick up the Financial statements of all the 25 Banks in last five years and there you would discover the fraud,manipulations and misrepresntations that were even made in PRINTED form for the general public to read.
In all the Banks financial statements,,,Only Three(3)banks were consistent with their reports,,,and the banks are First bank,Eco and GTB,,,I am however surprise that Banks like Access,FCMB,Zenith, UBA and many others with their flagrant manipulations and inconsistent statement of affairs can still be considered banks in Nigeria.
As regards layoffs,,,if layoffs would subsequent lead to a virile and sustainable banking system,,,I welcome the idea,,as write this moment,,,over 140 Banks have closed in just this year alone in the US,,,,If the criterion which the banks were closed in the US is applied to Nigeria,,,we probably should be having 2 or 3 banks in Nigeria today, What we have in Nigeria today is not banking system,,,its rather a corporate "esusu"
I personally believe that soludo is a common criminal who is solely responsible for the present state of the Nigerian economy at large,,All the stolen funds during his tenure were facilitated through soludo to foreign countries.

Two pastors of a new generation church in Lagos have been arrested by the police and charged to court for allegedly kidnapping their colleague.


The two pastors, Godwin Adiele, 39 and Joseph Atoyebi, 51 of Anointed Word Ministries, Lagos were alleged to have kidnapped Pastor Chidi Ebube for leaving the church “after knowing too much.”


The victim was abducted along Igando Road and imprisoned at Pastor Adiele’s residence at 1, Bishop Godwin Adiele Crescent, Powerline, Isheri-Idimu, Lagos for three days.


Narrating his odeal to P.M.News, the victim said he joined the church, thinking that the mode of worship and the doctrine was in line with the teaching of Jesus Christ, but he discovered that the church was into rituals and he did not like.


He explained that he told the wife of the General Overseer, Pastor Adiele, what he discovered and decided to leave them quietly. But they kidnapped him and compelled him to take an oath not to disclose what he had seen and learnt about the church.


He was, however, lucky as he escaped from where he was chained and ran to the Igando Police Station where he reported the incident.


The police arrested Pastors Godwin and Joseph Atoyebi who reside at Plot 80, Collins Elebede Avenue, Lari Bus Stop, Igando new town estate and charged them with kidnapping and stealing at the Ejigbo Magistrate’s Court.


The police accused the two pastors of conspiring and unlawfully imprisoning the victim.


The second charge accused them of tying the hands and legs of the victim with an iron chain, beating and macheting him all over his body to compel him enter into an undertaking.


The offence is contrary to sections 355, 365 and 390 of the Criminal Code, Cap.17, Vol. 2, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.


They pleaded not guilty to the five-count charge and the magistrate, Mrs. Maimunat Folami granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two responsible sureties.


The court ordered that one of the sureties must be a blood relation and another a religious leader. They must also show evidence of payment of tax.


The matter has been adjourned till 28 December, 2009.

Let the truth be told,,,Pastor Bakare has spoken what a lot of people have been crumbling underground period.What winners should do for sick people who needs healing is that quality hospital with well equipped facilities should be built for their church members and none members alike.Atleast the Catholic do clinics in their major branches which cares for members and none members alike,,,
