I don't know how one can verify what you ve alledged RCCG,,,however,,nothing surprises me about RCCG anymore,,,the way the church/organisation is runned is just unspeakable,,,there is hardly a day that passes without one scandal or the other pertaining to RCCG,,,
The problem is that RCCG is fast becoming or is already exhibiting the signs of the last days church,,,can you imagine what I read on their site pertaining to TITHES,,,They(RCCG) not the BIBLE said tithe is meant to take care of their pastors and other church workers,,,,now in their daily devotional you MUST sow in the lives of the pastor,,,,,when would the RCCG start investing in the lives of the BRAINWASHED members??
Am terribly disappointed in that organisation(RCCG),,,SHAME,,,,a very big SHAME

Romans 14:4
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
You should not discourage the commitments of people to God just because you dont like the way of the leader. This is based on lack of understanding of scriptures. Jesus had Issues with jewish leaders but yet he encouraged people to listen to what they teach only that they should become like them.Never put yourself in pathway of judgement like some ignorant people.

What happened to where the scripture said we should search all SPIRITS,,what also happened to the BAREAN CHRISTIAN who after receiving message or ministration,,they would go back to the scripture to search if its true or not? You say do not judge,,the basis and the reason for the PROLIFERATION OF PENTERASCALS MOVEMENT is strictly on JUDGEMENT,,Otherwise why do we ve PFN and CAN as separate bodies representing CHRISTIANS? Why is it PFN re JUDGING TB JOSHUA and OYAKHILOME??
The sad truth is that too many things re wrong with RCCG,,if U re a member of RCCG and do not see these things wrong,,,then nothing in this world can be wrong in ur eyes,,,How in world do you want to validate what was on the of RCCG as regards all kinds of giving,,first fruit giving etc,,,,Abeg make person hear word jare!!!

@viaroYou said you are not against giving in churches, so what are you against just curious. We need to preach this gospel on television, internet, satelite, print and any possible means. God gave his best for us, so what can a christian give that can be too much. Even poor people gave thier very last in the bible, people sold thier properties in the early church. The riches of the christian is to finance the kingdom of God, i dont believe in building mansions here and let the work of God suffer. Afterall we are strangers here, this is not our home. Jesus is coming soon and we need to tell everybody about him and our money is involved. So should we only give when is convenient? the remnants? or just give little and eat the rest? How and when should a christian give? can a christian give too much as long as he is doing so willingly?
Its that kind of giving that made Erastus Akingbola to defraud Intercontinental Bank and bought Jet for his pastor,,thesame kind of giving made international senior pastor of RCCG in London to defraud even his church members and now been declared wanted by Nigeria and british authority.Thesame stupendous giving made Pastor Bunmi Oni to run down Cadbury as the MD.
Lets not deceive ourselves,,,the CHURCH needs to back to where it actually started,,,this is to me is not christianity,,,its nothingg but a man made religion,,,,

Wasted generation from wicked parents/guardians.
You re so perfectly correct,,,I remember those days in primary Two(2),,,you must know and memorise ur multiplication table at the back of ur exercise book,,infact there were competition for exercise book makers then,,,some books were upto 12 times while some were upto 36times,,,
I learnt sometimes ago,,about 4yrs ago,,that some secondary teachers now collect bribes from students for the students to earn high marks,,,,truly a wasted generation,,,,,!!!!!

98% of candidates fail as NECO releases Nov/Dec results
By Francis Falola, Minna, Published: Wednesday, 17 Mar 2010

The National Examinations Council has released the results of the November/December Senior School Certificate Examinations, with 98 per cent of the 234,682 failing to clinch five credits, including English and Mathematics.
But NECO stated that 4,223 candidates got five credits, including English and Mathematics.
The 4,223 candidates formed about 1.80 per cent of those that sat for the examinations, while Kogi, Bauchi and Ondo led others states in the list of examination malpractices.
The Registrar of NECO, Prof. Promise Okpalla, stated this in his address at the NECO national headquarters in Minna on Tuesday.
He added that 234,682 candidates wrote the examinations out of 245,157 that registered.
He said, “Today, NECO formally announces the results of the 2009 Nov/Dec SSCE which held in spread across the country.
“Inasmuch as education remains a potent tool for attaining national goals, NECO will remain a veritable instrument for measuring educational attainment at the secondary school level, as standards will not be sacrificed for whatever reasons.”
He mentioned the total number of candidates with five credits and above irrespective of subjects as 12,197, representing about 5.2 per cent of those that sat for the examination.

Okpalla also said that 236,613 cases of examination malpractices were discovered in the examinations.
He said while Kogi topped the list of examination malpractices, the Federal Capital Territory, Abia and Oyo states were ranked lowest in infractions.

He regretted the poor performance of the candidates in the examination, saying that there was the need for stakeholders to intensify efforts in ensuring improvement in candidates’ performance.

Okpalla advised candidates that wrote the examination to visit NECO’s website with the same scratch card used in registering to access their results.

RCCG's financial policies and inactions is sickening. . . I am tempted to think Adeboye is not the financial head of the church.
You seems to be a nice person to ve a conversation with,,,There is no controversy about the fact that Jesus is Lord,,,however,, there is a lot of controversy about the fact that the church(Christianity or popular penterascality) is questionable,,,One other thing is that why is the GO keeping quite about all the inactions in the church,,,as for me am done with religiousity and worshiping of man of God,,,,I have a relationship with God through Jesus christ,,,Most so called men of God re a dissappointment to christianity,,,in real sense,,,many of us re better than they re,,,
For instance,,how could any Bishop or GO tell you that the only way you can avoid the recession is for you to continue to pay ur TITHE,,,,is Tithe the only language these people understand??
How do you want to reconcile such assertion with the plights of many christians that has been paying TITHE yet they lost their jobs as a result of the criminal activities of a Senior pastor who doubles as a Bank MD,,,,,,People should just for once use their thinking cap,,,

@ ALL
how do u reconcile all of this to the fact RCCG is one of the very few churches that emphasizes on holiness?
@Noetic,,,Its not about emphasizing on Holiness,,,its about practising Holiness,,,why can't RCCG be like Deeper Life if truly they re emphasizing on Holiness,,,
RCCG has double standard(two sets of church),,,one is called classical and the other is called model parishes,,,however,,the model parishes seems to have overwhelmed the classical and as a result everybody wants to be in model parish because it actually attracts the worldly and the unholly,,,which is what Christ for though,,,
But my question is why would a church have two sets or standard one for the world,,,and the other for outward Holy people,,,
The sad and painful truth is that RCCG needs to go back from where it actually started from,,,we ve a situation in RCCG where a good number of their pastors re not even Born-Again,,,that forms the reason why some of the pastors ve 2 wives,,some re even criminals ,,,abeg forget story man,,,,

Yes, you are correct to say that 100% Tithes are remitted to the Headquarters. What you do not know is that 20% - 30% of total tithe usually go back to the Parishes as REBATE, while the Province keeps 20%. If the Rebate does not get to the Parish for whatever reason, then the Provincial and/or Area Headquarters should be held accountable. The Ministry is over 55 years old already, so tell me, when will "the truth" (you are longing for) be revealed? What will 'the Truth" be? 5 Million members will definitely not be wrong! Wake up people!
What about the Billions of people in China,India and rest of Asia who think you people re wrong,,,or what about the tens of millions of the denomination of christians who think you and ur 5million people re wrong,,,,
Now here is question for you,,,Why is it most senior Pastors re either criminals or have criminal tendencies? e.g
1.Pastor Bunmi Oni 2.Area Pastor Erastus Akingbola 3.Regional/International Pastor Wale Adebajo 4.There was a Provincial Pastor who died in a plane crash in Abuja who stole several Billions from RMARC and he had 2wives,,,,also so many scandals the ears can not even comprehend,,,,

2.Erastus Akingbola(Area Pastor)-- Former MD Intercontinental Bank ( criminal,,now on exile)

3.Wale Adebajo ( International Pastor)-- Fraudster and now on the run( cases to answer in UK and Nigeria)

4. There was one who died in a plane crash,,,don't know his name,,,but was the overall pastor in charge of Abuja,,,

Both officials and the audience at the Somolu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos were stunned yesterday on hearing that a suspected fraudster, Obinna Uwakaneme, 29, obtained two vehicles, a Toyota Landcruiser jeep worth N14.5 million and a Toyota Yaris valued at N3.2 million when he issued a dud cheque to the tune of N17.7 million to the company.

The audience became dumbfounded when in his statement to the Anthony, Lagos Police Station, Uwakaneme, a native of Arochukwu, Abia State claimed that he used the name of Jesus Christ to perpetrate the fraud.

“I acted on the faith I have in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I did not have the money in my bank account. But I issued the cheque to the company even when I knew it was a dud cheque. I acted on my faith which made me to break the law when I wrote a cheque without the money in my bank account,” wrote Uwakaneme in his statement to the police.

The police have arraigned the suspect on a two-count charge of obtaining the two vehicles with a total value of N17.7 million under false pretence contrary to and punishable under Section 419 of the Criminal Code and also stealing the vehicles contrary to Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Cap. 17. Vol. 6, laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.

According to the prosecutor, Inspector Adegoke Akinlabi, Uwakaneme committed the alleged crime on 20 November, 2009, at the Elizade Motors Nigeria Limited, Anthony, Lagos, but was dragged to court yesterday.

P.M.NEWS learnt that the two cars were delivered to Uwakaneme the following day (21 November, 2009) when the company had not cashed his cheque.

The suspect quickly sold the Toyota Yaris to a Lt. Ccolonel in the Nigerian Army for the sum of N1.8 million while he contacted a car dealer on Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja to assist him to sell the Toyota Landcruiser SUV.

The car dealer, Chike Maduabum wrote to Elizade Motors to confirm the authenticity of the sale to Uwakaneme. Before he got a reply, the police traced the Toyota Landcruiser to his office and retrieved it.

The Army Colonel, who bought the Toyota Yaris for N1.8 million is now pleading with the court to refund his money to him since the police have withdrawn the car from him.

However, when the suspect was charged before the Somolu Magistrate’s court presided over by Mrs. B.O Osunsanmi, he pleaded not guilty to the two counts.

Mrs. Osunsanmi admitted him to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum. Each of the two sureties must present evidence of tax payment while their addresses will be verified by the court.

In addition, the sureties will deposit N50,000 cash with the court. Since Uwakaneme has not been able to meet the bail conditions, he was ordered to be remanded in prison custody.

The case which had suffered three adjournments was again adjourned till 28 April, 2010 for trial.

Meanwhile, Uwakaneme will likely remain in prison custody while the trial lasts or until he could present sureties who could meet the court’s condition.

@ Poster,

Yes you can, provided your wife is very modest and is not a waster of resources. Also, you should have plans of getting a better-paying job and also get your wife involved in some kind of trade.
Marriage works better when the two parties are contributors (financially & in every wise).
Good point at the bolded,,,it also means in this scenerio that this guys marriage is not gonna work better because,,,even his contribution is meager,,,,,
I do not know ur Mr poster,,,,but if U re below 30yrs,,pls forget about marriage for now,,,let the girl go,,,don't spoil the girls life and children both of you want 2 bring into this world,,,another who can take care of the girl would come her way,,Anybody who tells you finance is not important in marriage is simply lying to you and might just be the Devil's advocate,,There is nowhere in Lagos that you would survive with 40k,,,even in ajegunle or mushin,,
On the other hand if you think U love the girl,,then both of you can wait for atleast another 2yrs to build and stabilise ur finances,,,and she MUST be earning something by either getting a job or be engaged in a trade

With the advice from some people here discouraging this guy that he cannot marry with 40k, I want to know what will be their advice to those married couples in our banking industry who lose their job; may be to divorce since they don’t have job again.
That is why I suggest that for any young couple getting married,,,,both of them should be "earners" atleast for the start of their marriage,,,,No job whatsoever is guaranteed,,,,even if the man looses his,,he could fall back on his wife support pending when things gets better,,,
In ur scenerio,,,a banker who just lost his job and got married to a lady who is not working would suffer many things,,one of which might likely be the lady leaving the man,,,I have said it before,,,there is no pity in marriage ,,,nobody should pity U and U should'nt pity anybody,,
However for a smart banker whose wife is working or probably engaged in business to support the home,,if the banker looses his job,,,he would fall back on his wife for assistance pending when things gets better,,,This life is too tough and too hard for people not to think deeply b4 getting married,,,,

If you re my younger brother and U tell me U want to marry in this manner,,am surely gonna cane you or get a Doctor to investigate ur brain,,,If you can't take care of the lady financially,,,leave her alone and God would bring somebody her way that would be capable of taking care of the lady,,,and U should focus on developing ur self,,,I have always told people that a broken relationship is better than a broken marriage,,,,
At 40k,,,don't you have parents or younger ones that U re suppose to be supportinghuh Now U want to go and carry an overloaded wahala all in the name of marriage,,,,when U start having the problems,,,,this same people on Nairaland won't be there to help you oooo,,,,,Finally the best U can do is to use the head God gave to think if this step U re taking is actually worth it,,,
In a relationship,,I always tell people involved that the first thing to do is use head,,,if it does'nt connect with ur head,,,it simply means its not gonna work out,,,,

40 k a month? My friend sort out your life first before end up in perpetual penury, do you know how much it takes to feed and clothe children? You want to get married simply because it feels good, forgetting the fact that there are consequences. This isn't 1920 when every man had a village and taking care of the family meant going to the farm early enough to work. This is 2010, you have rent costs, schools costs, entertainment costs and all what not. Evildoers are here advising you to go ahead with your marriage on a 40k salary, don't make that mistake. Think well before you act, calculate your current expenses and potential expenses after you get married and see how it all pans out. The wedding alone is enough to leave you indebted for the next 6 years ( you know Nigerians and their "big eye", they don't do small weddings). Plan your life and become financially stable before you get married. Don't let love," vision" from your pastor or your woman's pressure trap you into something you regret later.
This is the best advice here,,,everyother persons have told you a LIE,,,U must have it at the back of ur mind that no woman or man is particularly for each other,,,Look for a woman that would support in every area of ur life particularly financial,,

You are right because the whenever serves both purposes which is a situation where the president is unable to carry out his duties (On vacation or when he is ill). He should have transmitted the first letter at the beginning of his vacation or if he finds out that his health would not allow him to carry out his duties. He should also transmit a written letter when he recovers from his sickness or he his back fro his vacation so he can return to his presidential post else the vice president continues as acting president.
Failure to transmit the first letter is an impeachable offense and when ever it is proven that he his permanently health wise incapable of coming back to his duty post then the national assembly can also impeach him after being duly served by a medical board inaugurated by the assembly that he his permanently incapacitated.
Some people can still have A1 in English Language in this dispensation of educational doldrum and degenration in Nigeria,,,,My guy I give U A1!!!!
A further question is that why did it take almost 3Months for almost 200Million people to discover this loophole in the constitution,,,,This explains Nigeria's poor reading culture!!

Even if U translate dis statement for pidgin or to Yoruba or Igbo,,,,U will still get the gist of the message,,,,Just wondering why some people would come to a public forum persistently trying to prove that white is black or black is white,,,,

hehehehe. . . the word UNTIL is predicated on a prior event. . . that prior event being that the Prez has already transmitted a first letter telling em he's going on holiday.
UNTIL cannot survive in that statement without the WHENEVER that precedes it.
Now, Its crystal clear there is a problem somewhere,,,,The word "whenever",,,then "until",,,,I will try helping U to understand this: Whenver in this statement means; whenever the President transmits the letter (i.e.) before or after the President has proceeded for his vacation,,,,it further implies that if the President fails to make the letter before(whenever) proceeding or after(whenever) proceeding,,,, the Vice President automatically MUST "ACT" as the President,,,,
This was how GCE/WAEC of early 70's and late 70's were crafted,,,U must be able to understand comprehension to pass WAEC/GCE in the 70's,

Nah. . . paddy lo is right. . . . but still, there could be cause to impeach Yara from the law. . .
WHENEVER the President transmits a letter to go on holiday, he cannot resume his duties UNTIL he transmits another letter to supercede the first letter.
This means that the constitution assumes that the President will send a letter EACH AND EVERY time he goes on holiday.
This is the spirit of the law because it doesnt stipulate that Yara should send the letter, but it assumes that Yara would already have sent the letter. . . hence, Yara has contravened the spirit of the law.
,,
This is so amazing!!!,,,,Is this how bad Nigeria system of education has degenerated? I will advice U read that statement One Hundred times until U understand the message in the statement,,,
It says UNTIL,,,that is to say,,,until the President makes the letter avaiulable to the senate president/otherwise,,,the Vice President MUST be ACTING as the president,,,,This is not FURTHER MATHEMATICS or APPLIED MATHEMATICS
whoever wrote thiss piece is an idiot. . .look at the bolded portion above
that is the crux of the matter. .
Yar adua did not even transmit a letter saying he is going on vacation
so the issue of UNTIL does not arise
sometimes these sahara reporters just like to make unnecessary noise
thats how they told us iwu will rig uba in
then they changed it to ekwunife to be rigged in in anambra
nonsense
How dare U come to a public forum to display ur poor grasp of English Language? The word "UNTIL" as stated above implies that : If the President fails to make a written representation,,,,the Vice President is automatically meant to "ACT" as the president.
