One thing you should know about returning to Nigeria, you need a well paying job so as to at least buy the comfort you are used to over there in the UK or else you might not entirely enjoy it. You know best the reasons why you are returning, so comfort might not entirely be a big deal to you I returned to Nigeria for 2years, after living 6yrs in the US and concluded i will rather live in the US than live in Nigeria and i have returned back to the US. You might hear that Nigeria is developing, but my opinion still has a lonnng way to go. What i would say you should expect is, you cant change much in Nigeria because there are more people that have accepted the way things are done. Pitfalls - negotiate for a good position before going to Nigeria. Goodluck hope i was of some help rebranded |

barnabasj:This is NOT true, Jonathan hasn't picked a Vice President yet, you all may be right that Yayale will be appointed VP also in my opinion El-rufai's charges will also be dropped soon, and he will be SGF Ribadu will arrive soon to be INEC chief |
I told Falae the 15times he tried to contest also but he never listened to me, so Jonathan doesnt need to listen to this power hungry man |
Welcome back home Nasir!!! |
Nasir El-Rufai, the former Federal Capital Territory(FCT) minister has returned from exile after 23 months. Mr. El-Rufai arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja,at 4.29 am this morning, emerging a mere 18 minutes later after being given what he called ‘a VIP treatment' by the airport officials upon his arrival. Up to 100 family members and well-wishers were on hand at the airport to welcome him. Although there was a significantly large police presence at the airport prior to his arrival, Mr El-Rufai was not accosted at any point upon his return. A black Range Rover was waiting to take him home and the vehicle was followed by seven cars but no discernible armed escort. Mr. El-Rufai, who left the country in protest of alleged persecution by the Yar'Adua government, was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) after slamming an eight count charge, including abuse of office, on him in 2009. The former minister has consistently challenged the EFCC for malicious investigation and prosecution and says he is ready to defend himself in the courts. Mr. El-Rufai says he will be visiting the EFCC offices next week Read More: http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5562816-146/el-rufai_returns____.csp |
krendo:He never said he felt Iwu could not conduct a credible election, but mind you that is not an automatic tenure renewal also, simple the tenure finished and he appointed someone new |
kosovo:What cheap publicity stunt? its only logical he has vacation days left, and his tenure is not been renewed so he needs to GO! and allow someone else to start preparing for the upcoming elections Pls go and meet your IBB and quit defaming GOOD people |
Yeah i agree Sanusi should be removed, and maybe Mrs. Iweala can be brought back, or someone with international experience ![]() |
slap1:I believe hes got a lot to do with the inefficiencies, glad hes OUT!!! |
I got a feeling is replacement will be Ribadu, read somewhere today that the charges against Ribadu were dropped today, so makes sense to me thats what GJ as been waiting for. ![]() |

Confusion in PDP over “missing” N3b National News Apr 24, 2010 By Henry Umoru, Abuja THE National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor was at the Presidential Villa, Abuja yesterday for a closed door meeting with Acting President, Goodluck Jonathan to brief him on recent events in the party. It was also gathered yesterday that confusion seems to be rearing its head at the National Secretariat of the party over the missing N 3 billion naira said to have been left behind by the previous administration of the party.Ahead of the National Executive Committee, NEC meeting slated for next week Tuesday, 27 April, 2010, the leadership of the party would need to meet with Acting President Jonathan who is the leader of the party on arrangements as well as other salient issues in the party. It would be recalled that the National Working Committee, NWC of the party had on Thursday suspended former Senate Presidents, Ken Nnamani, Adolphus Wabara, Ex-Speaker Bello Masari and the immediate past National Secretary of the party, Bernard Eze following what the party termed anti-party activities. sjeezy8:No we are a country that doesnt learn from her mistakes, I still remember people coming to this forum awhile back, and callng for the military to take over, not remembering how life was b4 democracy Just for IBB lovers, hope you read the interview he admitted dollar to naira when he entered was N4.5 to $1 and when he left was N22 to $1 its obvious you havent seen anything yet!, |
I agree with you OP, the politics section is full of nothing but IBB, i have gradually reduced visiting NL, cos it irritates seeing all this IBB post, its unfortunate that one of the moderators -kosovo supports the return of IBB, I wish everyone well that supports him and years down the line, they can come back and read their posts on where their efforts have ended the country. GLTA! |
Its now obvious GJ has been waiting for Ribadu to return before removing Iwu, El'rufai can run for presidency, |
the offices poster means is probably Banks in Nigeria, you dont see it everywhere, plus i think i have seen it in banks also in the US, need to confirm when next i enter one |
If Goodluck should run as IBB's Vice President, IBB should be ready not to finish his term, His over due punishment will be given to him during his tenure! |
See us through what ![]() List List List everyday what difference does it make, abeg dey look for solution not listing some shameless people |
tubabie:That interview was poor in my eyes, but im still comfortable with jonathan's leadership style |
Fhemmmy:@ Fhemmy I remember you saying you will vote for IBB instead of GJ, I agree everyone has their vote and opinion, but it bothers me that if you are in for a better Nigeria you would go for IBB?? |
@mikensy yeah i remember you said it, but i still believe if he doesnt remove him people will be disappointed and nothing else he does will be applauded |
Fhemmmy:You want him to be held responsible for the death of the President?, plus i dont believe that story of signing anything What do you have against Goodluck Mr. i know you are for IBB |
I never knew a time would come that i would be excited about any Nigerian President, thank God that time has come God be with you GJ! and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!! |
i'm sorry but i can also say i will provide this and that if you vote me, but how sure are you that i will perform, i think he can start with governorship first and then we can take it up from there ![]() |
Fhemmmy:How can you choose IBB over Jonathan what planet are you from, are you not aware of what IBB did to this country, well it is confirmed human beings have a very short memory span ![]() |
I still believe GJ would not have joined the present day PDP, when PDP was created in 1998 the only info about them was most of them were ex-military guys not a bunch of thieves and for their pocket party, well unfortunately he is part of the party and in a way i see him trying to change the perception of people about the party ![]() I dont see GJ running for President in 2011, but he would have made major changes that might put PDP on a new path, that been said these other political parties should work on the Mega party and take PDP down ![]() |
He has our support also - South West ![]() |
Old news! |
Only 5 nations from Africa was invited, impressive - Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria & South Africa |
