Sun of god:
The short term losses are nowhere near as great as the long term gains -

Future generations cannot go through this bullshit!

Nigeria must and will split
Sorry to dissappoint you, but Nigeria can not break up like that, Whats the reason for the break up?because a cabal from the north was holding the presidency?, that is not strong enough, even jos bloodshed is not enough for a break up.

I believe we need to be more unified, and it takes is not rocket science, I suggested once the National Assembly has one formal wear, probably a suit which will reduce the difference in tribes, little thingslike that. Forget this break up talk, its not happening, not now not 100yrs from now

Sun of god:
Nigeria will break up - That's no longer actually open to debate.

We need to bring forward the when,
You are all soo eager for a break up without thinking of the consequence, the same way you were eager to have a democracy!

@sun of god & invisible

pls ask anyone you know to list the 5 most respected countries in Africa and see if Nigeria will not be listed, unfortunately in Africa most of our internal problems are not known apart from Niger Delta, except of recent with Muttalab, Invisible President and a bunch of things making us gradually becoming a weak state on the continent.

Politics › Are You Satisfied With The New Ministers Nominated? by rebranded(op): 8:46pm On Mar 26, 2010
I look at the list of new ministers and get a bit worried about Jonathan, rumour going round is the picks are towards 2011 elections.

I completely expected the new FEC to be made up of more technocrats than politicians, I hope they have a clue on what to do

Some names that get me worried

1. Josephine Anenih (Anambra)

2. Alhaji Murtallab Yar’Adua (katsina)

3. Sanusi Daggash
Politics › Jonathan May Appoint Akunyili Fct Minister -reuters by rebranded(op): 9:36pm On Mar 21, 2010
There are indications that the immediate past Minister of Information and Communication, Professor Dora Akunyili may become the Minister of Federal Capital Territory when the Acting President re-constitutes his cabinet which was dissolved on Wednesday.

Reuters, quoting an unnamed presidency source, reports that Akunyili, the only member of the dissolved cabinet to criticise openly, the poor handling of Yar‘Adua‘s absence, has been pencilled down to take over as Minister for the Federal Capital Territory

The outgoing Minister of State for Petroleum, Mr. Odein Ajumogobia, according to the report, is likely to be chosen as the new Minister of Petroleum while the outgoing Minister of Defence, General Godwin Abbe (rtd), who has been leading the implementation of an amnesty programme in the restive Niger Delta, may also be reappointed to continue work on the programme

If we can have the following, i think it will be a big step to redemption

Strong Minister of Foreign Affairs
Minister of Justice (that is ALL for Anticorruption)
New EFCC Head not the sleeping woman
New INEC Boss

i think we can see changes in 3months
Politics › Re: Kindly Nominate Your Ministers by rebranded(m): 8:54pm On Mar 17, 2010
I would prefer Akunyuli as the Head of INEC, she cant do much in Health in 12months,

but if she can do the magic she did in NAFDAC with INEC, that will be great cheesy

One more thing Jonathan needs to do to gain the Country's trust is to remove Maurice Iwu

Politics › Why Did You Leave Nigeria? by rebranded(op): 9:11pm On Mar 16, 2010
Maybe if we know what makes most people leave the Country, we might be able to know our priorities in making Nigeria a Country to be proud of.

For me i left:
- To get a better Education
- Better Quality of life, comfort, etc
- To escape the Heat and the dust grin

chidichris:
as long as obj is still arround, as long as his tools are still in use, as long as there is an iwu in charge, there is no hope.
like nzeribe said, millitary is all we need now. i am not talking about the leadership induced millitary rather i mean the real millitary radicals we know. those that can act the J rawlings movie here in nigeria.
those that can kill endlessly when it comes to these power drunk criminal cabals.
nigerians shld stop wasting their times with this naughty professor of iwu.
a dog can never give birth to a snake.
Dont get confused chidichris 6months of military you will start shouting for democracy again

what we need to find out is how to have a credible election and get Iwu Out!
