Russia is scheduled to commence the use of the Chinese yuan for international payments this week, replacing the US dollar. Additionally, Saudia Arabia is in talks with the Chinese government to follow suit. It has been projected that Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa may break away from utilizing the US dollar for international transactions. There are also rumors that Iran and South Arabia may join this movement. The recent meeting between Russian president Vladimir Putin and Chinese president Xi Jinping in Russia resulted in an agreement to use the Chinese yuan as a settlement currency for countries in Asia, Africa, and Latam. Putin expressed his support for the use of national currencies for international trading and also expressed his positive opinion on the use of the yuan as a form of payment in bilateral trade, particularly with emerging economies. This move may potentially reduce reliance on the U.S. dollar as a settlement currency and could have implications for the global economic landscape. If more countries begin to adopt alternative currencies like the yuan for international transactions, it could potentially reduce demand for the US dollar, which could lead to a gradual weakening of the currency over time. This could have implications for the US economy and its position in the global financial system, as well as for global financial stability more broadly. It is important to note that exchange rate movements are driven by a wide range of factors, including macroeconomic fundamentals, monetary policy decisions, geopolitical events, and market sentiment. As such, any potential impact on the US dollar resulting from the recent agreement between Russia and China is likely to be complex and multifaceted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IqxRRrmQqg |
After Whitemoney's aforementioned disclosure, there has been a variety of reactions regarding his decision to divulge information about his former housemates and fellow BBNAIJA stars. Some individuals believe that he should not have disclosed such details on air, citing his tendency to talk excessively. So, what do you all think? Did he really go too far? |
Whitemoney, the winner of Big Brother Naija 2021, has created a buzz on social media with his recent statements on Nedu's podcast. During the interview, he shared that many female contestants from BBNaija contact him to connect them with his wealthy friends for business purposes, but he knows it's not genuine. Additionally, he threw shade at the previous batch of BBNaija ex-housemates, accusing them of not effectively promoting their brands and capitalizing on the platform as he did. Whitemoney also expressed his belief that the 2022 BBNaija set, which had Phyna as the winner, did not market themselves well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-y-8U0x0Bg

A few days ago, a viral video circulated the internet featuring Portable, a singer, who was being arrested by police officers at his recreation center. In response, Portable took to Twitter Live to broadcast the incident, shouting and demanding to know why he was being arrested. The police officers explained that they had received a petition against him, which prompted their visit. Later that week, the head of the police stated that Portable may face punishment for his behavior during the arrest, but many people were skeptical of this claim. Recently, a new humorous video of Portable has been trending since yesterday. In the video, Portable attempts to explain what really happened. However, before he can do so, he breaks into a funny freestyle rap where he refers to himself as a baboon living in a zoo. He then proceeds to explain that the person who wrote the petition against him was a former boy whom he had previously disciplined for involvement in fraudulent activities. According to Portable, the individual had been working under him, but he discovered that he was still engaging in shady dealings, which led to him being flogged and dismissed. In the video, Portable questions why the police are involved in the matter, as he is the boss and the person he disciplined was his boy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RM0LpV5wD5s |
Jobig:One might assume that the girls come from an affluent background and have ample resources to rely on after the show, given their extravagant displays and carefree attitudes during the show. |
Nedu laughing hard at the revelation....If you ask me though, some things aren't meant for the public.

Today, at the official commissioning of the Ilesa Passport Production Center and Passport Front Office in Ilesa, Ademola Adeleke was in a jovial mood. He was captured on camera dancing in a delightful and amusing manner with Ogbeni Aregbesola, the former Governor of Osun State and current Minister of Interior. The present Governor of Osun State was so ecstatic that the Minister couldn't help but join in the dance. The crowd cheered as they both danced with joy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MNm1Xs1Gjg |

Shane William Ryan has been sentenced to 19 months in jail after CCTV footage revealed his unprovoked act of violence towards another gym user. The incident occurred in October 2020 at the Next Level Gym in Rosebery, a suburb outside Darwin, Australia. The video footage showed Ryan approaching the victim, who was performing a bench press, before dropping a 20kg weight directly onto his face, causing him to fall off the bench in excruciating pain. Ryan immediately fell down after dropping the weight, but he stood up and pretended to limp away from the scene. He later limped back to the victim with a towel to clean or cushion his head. The footage clearly demonstrated that the act was not an accident, contradicting Ryan's initial claims. In addition to suffering a fractured skull, the victim suffered other injuries including a laceration above his eyebrow, swelling to his face, headaches, and chest pain. Justice John Burns described the act as "an extremely dangerous act" on a vulnerable person who was unable to protect himself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afOq5wBjP1k |
TheManPregnant:I feel concerned too because it seems like we're content with the current situation, which is troubling to me. |
TheManPregnant:The situation is incredibly distressing, bro. I have faith that someday we will realize the importance of controlling our own resources and take action to do so. |
TheManPregnant:It's a shame that Africa's vast resources are often undervalued and underestimated, which is why some individuals or groups (the whites) cannot resist interfering in its affairs. Sadly, Africa has not fully recognized its potential and is still subject to being overlooked. |
AbdulMagaji:Unfortunately, they put the lives of the local Miners at risk. |
Please, mod move to the right section if this is not supposed to be here 🙏 |

A Chinese cobalt mine in DR Congo experienced a landslide that resulted in the entrance being sealed off, putting locals in danger of being buried alive. Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon occurrence at Chinese-operated mines in Africa. Fortunately, the trapped miners had the support of their fellow workers and community members who quickly came to their aid. They diligently worked to dig out the sealed entrance, carefully removing the falling sand to prevent it from covering the whole area while rescuing the trapped miners one by one. With each successful rescue, the locals erupted in wild jubilation, grateful for the safe return of their loved ones. The rescuers continued their efforts until the last person was safely extracted from the hole. The man at the entrance ensured that everyone was accounted for, carefully checking that no one was left behind. After the ordeal, the locals and rescued miners left together, still caught up in the excitement and joy of the successful rescue. It's truly terrifying to imagine the possibility of being buried alive, but thankfully, this time, a disaster was averted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cyX0sdWwTA |
