It should be Canberra University, since it is IT based. |
jennykadry: For those asking questions re sponsorship. I have said it a million times that the best route is 2 years of study as that gives you a good chance of getting your PR if sponsorship fails. Do not rely on sponsorship as it may fail you.First of all, I want to appreciate you for the help rendered in th case of acommodation website you gave. Thanks a lot ![]() It's been said here and we have been mentioning it times without number. Anyone whose duration of study is not up to 2yrs should kindly go for an advanced diploma in any college, and its duration must be up to 2yrs so as to qualify for PR. After you get that PR, you can apply for your MSc program, either part-time or full-time and can also pay the low few their citizens pay. @Kellyemms, it doesn't matter. The reason why IELTS is more preferable to TOEFL is because former is British and Commonwealth thing, unlike the latter which is American. Nevertheless, you can get any of the 2, no problem. @surecan, is your Msc from the faculty of Education? If not, I don't think so. You have to get a certificate from the faculty of education. |
^^^ Shebi you get access to the internet; just go to the web links given. I never used hardcopy but softcopy materials I got from 4Shared. The listening and speaking segments should be a walkover for you cos English is our language. The technical aspect is the reading and then a little bit of writing. |
In addition to what Chubby said about IELTS, the most technical aspect is the reading section, followed by the speaking section and then the writing. In the reading section, don't substitute your idea with the writer's idea. You will have to write down supposed answers with 'what, why, when, where, and how' questions along the line with your reading. First read the questions quickly and then read the passage and pick out answers along your reading. For the speaking, go straight to the point and be audible enough and take note of tenses use. For study materials, get hands on the website Ferdimako gave or make use of Barrons's guide on IELTS on the net. |
Americanvisa: university of camberra, queensland and flinders but i am facing some difficulties uploading the documents.my documents are in 5MB and they are demanding for 2 to 3MB and i am finding it difficult to reduce itTry to download Adobe Reader pro. With it, you can reduce the size. Try to check online for it or check google on how to reduce pdf document size. I downloaded a software like that that reduced 5mb to less than 1mb but I can't do it again. @cconcept, I am suggesting you use a gmail account and not yahoo. If you can get your hands on their publications, kindly do and use it to build your proposals. I pray God makes a way for you soon. |
Americanvisa: I haven't gotten any,my self prefer a year or 1.5 masters so that she can proceed to PhD upon completion.Which school are you looking at? @cconcept is still searching for supervisors and I don't know his progress yet. Maybe he comes and fill us in. |
jennykadry: @redreactYou still get one wey never marry or get personal lord? I go sneak from HK enter Oz 'cos of am; make I send my Would be grateful if you can drop some hints on accomodation for people that will be heading to Oz sooner or later. |
jennykadry: Okay. Will get back to you, let me do some research.one of my sibling, but she will be moving to perth first week in JulyJenny, at the bolded, shey d person na male or female? If she be female, she dey available? ![]() @Ferdimako, submit the result like that and also submit your WAEC result with it, to the embassy, as it contains English language in it. It should augment with the IELTS result. Don't be distraught jor. I remember when I wanted to write my exam, 1 week to the day, I never touch both the reading and writing section for practise. The exam is easy but one can easily miss the answers. @iamcapela, let your presence be felt here a little. Your contribution is needed, as some may need info on accomodation, and Jenny has been the only one filling the gap. If you are here, you can render your assistance in that capacity. On the points you raised, you said well. I would advice someone who has PR in mind (of course everybody does) is that look for a 2yrs program to do. When you get that, you will easily file for the PR, and TAFE adv. diploma fills the gap well, unlike Masters which lasts for 1.5yrs, though you can get sponsored quickly if your major is a skilled-select major. An advantage of the TAFE pathway I can boldly see is that after your program of 2yrs, you apply for PR and once successful, you can use your Nigerian BSc cert. to apply for MSc and it will come at a low cost, and you can opt for part-time too because you won't be an international student. My take is that anyone that wants to go to Aussie should strap onto financial backings he/she can get for at least a year. It won't be easy studying and working at the same time (though not impossible) so as not to affect grades and performance; and high hopes shouldn't be developed at all. It must be slow-and-steady. @mcdon, I feel ya. Keep it up. |
^^^ Yes and yes. I would suggest that you chill a little though; get your residency settled aftwr your advanced diploma program and then go fo MSc, as it will be at a cheaper price 'cos you won't be considered as an international student again. |
^^^ Look around, you should be able to get a cheaper one or better still discuss with the students' affairs office on students looking for off-campus accomodation. |
^^^ It's about your interest. I think visa for the MSc duration will go for 2 years, and before the expiry, you can file in for one class of bridge visa like that (I read something that this morning though); but since it is for this PR, go for the TAFE. You can get your MSc done after you have become a resident |
Experienced this thing live and direct in action in 1999 when one useless guy came to our mothers shop then. The guy priced some goods by pointing at them and also pointed at her safe then. Funny enough, a radio player was placed beside that safe and was tuned-in to a station then. 3 minutes after the guy left, everything he pointed at, including the radio player, disappeared without flying or walking away. These things are highly illogical, but are really happening. |
Congrats to Billionaire01 and Akomsy. Keep the Green White Green flag fly high in Australia and do us proud. God will make you excel there IJN (amen). @Ferdimako, just scan your result and send it to them when it arrives. After admission has been granted, you can process for the TRF. In the meantime, I am heading to the SAR of Hong Kong and the visa was approved today; will be heading to Australia soon after I finish for research programs. @cconcept, how about your search for potential supervisors? Any progress? @AmericanVisa, keep calm and cool bro. Just gather the docs required for visa processing and watch everything work in your direction. |

collynzo2: It was a stupîd statement, you saw pictures of renovated and newly built public schools and you said old public schools should be renovated and new ones built. Doesn't make sense at all, maybe you didn't read the Original post before posting. Don't do that next time little boy.Next time you want to utter words, let it be edifying and not derogatory. Where in the opening post was it said.that they were renovated? Which picture showcased the "old school" and placed alongside any of the ones placed here? Open your eyes very well and read what I wrote before telling me unfit things, young man. |
collynzo2: What you wrote is exactly what has been done, are you drunk? And what was wrong with what I said that warranted asking me that? |
Good one there. I also think they should embark on rennovation of old and dilapitated buildings in the schools, as well as building up new ones. The children in govt schools deserve equal, if not better, treamtments with their counterparts in private schools. |
posdream: thanks what do you suggest? yes the money is going to be a big problem, i have just been thinking. do u feel i apply for diplomas straight? most courses are 1 or 1.5 yrs and thats not up to 2 year course. moreover the cost are so bogus. certs tuition are cheap i dont just know im clouded here sincerely.Maybe you do it this way; try and look for a diploma program that will take more than a year and then register for its certificate course program so that you can graduate to a diploma program after you are done. That way, you get money saved a little, and also get your pathway to PR cleared for you. If you can't find such, then maybe you go for an advanced diploma, but will come at a high fee again (try so many colleges, as you may find cheaper ones). |
^^^ You are good to go brother. Though when I was doing the schools in Australia then and I been referred to an agent, they, the agents, told me that I shouldn't use company account but a personal one, and I might agree a little with that 'cos they might be thinking business-wise at the embassy. Since you are planning to augment your own account with a company one, then go for it. It will be a success. |
^^^ Don't you think that route of extending stay via going from certificate (6 months) to Diploma (12 months) to Advanced Diploma (2 years) going to cost you money? because that is the you can apply for a PR, except you are being sponsored by a company after you might have done a Certificate + Diploma programs. |
droha: Please can anyone help me out...i want to know the procedures in applying for Australian universities, please i need assistanceBros, nobody will answer that your question here. Go and rent a room at www.google.com and ransack the whole house there. |
Ola one: Hahah.Go and sit down for one corner with your Akalamagbo jor. You no like Ajimobi, yet you wan go Ajimobi-sponsore Mecca. : |
ferdimako: No any more.At the moment, you can get it after two weeks, three or four. You only get it withing this periods you put up here if you apply for SVP and that is if your start date is not far from the time you applied for the visa. If not, na normal processing of 3-4 months. |
^^^ You gotta spend cash bro. Besides, we have many pre-requisite for you to get her before we gree. First and formemost, you don go Mecca? How many Arafat you don climb? ![]() |
^^^ Ola, stop using political style to woo Alhaja ![]() |
Ola one: I say to the marines. What is the meaning of SENACO? |
out seba: And corp members were owed state allowie for like 4-6 months? SmhIt's not only Oyo State owes corps members' allowances to that extent. Almost al the states of the federation do that. |
^^^ Yes you can. Let them write a letter of sponsorship for you and submit it to the embassy with other documents. |
@Justwise, you no give am good advice o. @Nadison4real, just give me the money as a seed of blessing and your life no go remain the same again. If person tell you these things wey you talk so, na double slap you for give am. The choice is yours though. |
I will rather go to South Sudan if I wan board plane go abroad by all means. Ukraine ko, Russia ni. Asides that they have silly white skins and igi-imu that is long, what else do they have? The only relevance they have is violence and nothing else. Ordinary Singapore is making waves educationally than these skunk-a-junk schools regarded as cheap schools. |
This is how governance should be, as politics is diferent from governance. When in politics, self-interest might be the watchword for the party members; but when in governance, common-interest should be the key to deliver good governance. What some of our politicians don't know is that when an administrator is performing well, it will help them build up their ideology so that they can present an better alternative to the one in power. If the people are convinced enough, they vote them in and if not voted-in, they learn from the mistakes and polish on their delivery and give it a go another time. Good one from the lawmakers at OYHA, as I don't see them as oppositions at all so far they are serving the interest of the people that voted them to office. |
