It's the graduate visa first, after which you an niw start filling for the PR. You dont really have to study for the SOL programs before you can apply for the PR, but since some programs are more lucrative than the others, it will be beneficial to study the SOL listed programs.

Maybe you use the result like that to apply for the visa. Maybe there was a mistake in your approach to the exam somehow. Nevertheless, I still see your teeth showing for Aussie next year, so no shaking.

Our Igbo brothers say Yoruba hate them, reek insults at them at will, but that will never affect the hospitable nature of these people. That nature makes Yoruba not to grow hostility at foreigners, contrary to what are being propagated here and there. Reminds me of a situation in Osun State, not Lagos State, where an Igbo man contested for a councillorship position in his Local Council. The said man didn't marry a Yoruba woman, talk less of saying he was using the influence. When asked why he wanted to contest in another man's land, he said he had lived in that town (Ikirun or so) for good 20 years and everyone had been good to him and respected him and he also had respect for the culture and of the people and the land, andthe people saw him as an Igboman and also a Yorubaman. Though he didn't win the election, yet he was given an opportunity to contest with the locals of the land. Which tribe can do that in Nigeria?
In Yorubaland, an Ibadan indigene won't say because he is a Yorubaman, he has to defy the custom of Ondoland or Ijebuland. It's not done that way. He will still regard himself as a Yorubaman in a Yorubaland, but not to question the authority of that land he sojourns or resides.
Let's not politicize issues.

In your visa application, did you put in your husband? If yes, then you would have to show evidence of funds for the 2 of you for the first one year. If no, you can't invite him to come over like that. He would have to apply by himself, just like you are now.

Far back in 2002, myself and a colleague were dreaming of having an Igbo man as president come 2003 but it never happened. Right now, the question is not even having an Igbo man as president, but having a credible man, from anywhere in the country. Besides, the Yorubaman that ruled the country was and is even disliked by his countrymen.

A certificate course won't articulate to an advanced diploma, but a diploma program which can then articulate into an advanced diploma program. Thatt is the order of progression, hence my giving the above situation.
For the English language requirement, there should be no issue at all, as it is not for PR now. If the school can give admission with the English score, I don't think there will be visa denial at all.

You can do it in 2 ways; take certificate course for a year and then graduate to a diploma program, making it 24 months if not more than. Another one is do the diploma first and then graduate to advanced diploma.

It is possible as such to have 6.0 by some schools. Top ranked schools I checked months ago wanted 6.5 overall but 6.0 minimum in each band (UNSW, UWA).

All the schools have it on their requirements page. Just check them.

TAFE- Minimum overall is 5.5
Pg- Minimum overall is 6.5.
I dont think the embassy can reject at all, since the candidate would have got the least score needed for admission.

There is a difference between writing exams and knowing the strategy to use to write and pass them. Seriously, I had less time to practise, like a week, but what I did was to use Barron's guide to guide me on the reading and writing section.

Obviously, there is nothing wrong with our system. Just that many things are wrong with the people involved with the system, hence they keep giving us warped results.

Now I can proudly and boldly say that the main problem of Nigeria is credible leaders/leadership. Funny enough, some followers are even defending the cause of cluelessness and unjustness of the governor of Bayelsa, who is suppossed to be undergoing serious challenges from the HoA with about 163 special adviser nonsense up there. What remains again in the coffer of such state with such an enormous political appointments?

I don't think I will advice an international student to go for an undergraduate program in Australia except he/she has scholarship funding available to him/her.
To the young man, try and sit down and count the cost very well so that it wont be a journey one would not like. Australia is more costly than be careful for studying.

Me I don port to telecommunication o. One of my best friends, a future guru in the world of Physics, even broke my heart by telling me he was going into the military (today he is an airforce officer), no thanks to our curriculum relegating physics into the background behind engineering, when it should be at the fore.

@virgin-ice, physicists have one crazy character of passionately pursuing and defending that course like money; I never thought I could do that until I got into the university, just like your PhD friends are doing. Many people are leaving because we don't really have that enabling environment as physicists in Nigeria unlike the westerners who do making only a few rugged ones to stay, but when we go into that other fields, the spirit of physics is always in us to break grounds. I love Physics jare and always proud to be one anyday anytime!!!

Ms Nas, quantum-wise, in the spirit of Einstein, Erico Fermi, Heisenberg, Paul Dirac, Schrodinger, I say congratulations.
Physicists are just too much because their heads are there.
But one thing I have noticed is that many of our Nigerian physicists are leaving that field; a good friend of mine is planning to leave the field, while I myself have taken a bow out of that line. Saw a physics thread and looks like many are leaving the path of Physics for other fields and recently, we are loosing a vivacious YOU to the world of technical/information science.
One thing I know is this; Physicists are badass crooks blasting and blazing in their fields chosen cos it is in our spirit. I am waiting to see your name on the prestigious "hall of fame" of life.

HoA was tumultous yesterday, with a show of shame; instead of those nonentity youths to protest and call for the removal of all their lawmakers and shut that HoA cos of the disgrace they have brought, not only to the state but the nation, they are busy routing support for corrupt peope in power.
