temitemi1:And how will all these profit you in the long term. |
doctokwus:And what did the opposition say about the late Yaradua, his health, the government and the PDP. Why are they suddenly falling apart. Go check the archives man. These things did not start today. You're only shocked at the hate because it is coming your way. Kindly step out of the mud, be objective, elevate your thinking and the hurt goes away. It is what your party has planted. Amaechi alone has said and done worse than Fayose. Did you complain. Be honest. |
United4lyf:If there is anything I have spoken extensively on Nairaland this is it. That the PDP had become too docile in power and the APC too brash, too confident in opposition. Why is it that Nigerians never like a balance. Why can't we ever see the big picture. Why do we want a competition of only one contestant. Why. How many times was Lai Mohammed warned against the very things been complained about. I said it then that the APC was schooling the PDP on just how dirty politics could be. Is this graduation a surprise. |
icebeatz:It is too late for your postulations. Just like capping campaign funding this is impossible to attain. The APC started it. I warned severally about it. People did not listen. It is the route we chose. You cannot change the rules after a goal is scored. The APC over 4 years has discredited the present government. On the eve of elections it is complaining. Why. |
You can give but not receive. The days of bliss are indeed over. With power comes responsibility. APC wake up. You started it so enjoy. That's why you don't hear much from the likes of Lai and Rufai these days. The assumption is that they will assume power and the political atmosphere will become friendly and civil for them to relax. Bad news, it won't happen. The gloves are long off. I just hope Buhari has half the temerity of Jonathan or else embarasment will plague APC's journey. The party had better prepare him well. |
If 2 english clubs go out at this stage UEFA will definitely hand one of their slots to Malta. Pathetic. |
bykebyke:Dunno what that guy brings to the team. I'd rather a hobbling David Silva to him. Even Samir Nasri can shoot. Ozil is always playing is his pyjamas. Yes, sleep walking. |
chimerase2:I watched that one. Even with Messi operating below installed capacity it was a picnic complete with lemonade. |
What qualities does this Obanikoro fellow bring to a Ministerial cabinet that he gets repeatedly nominated. Personally I don't think he is fit to be a MInister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If he must be 'settled' let them find him something else. |
sweetcocoa:It is not extortion. It is the demonstration if power. You guys don't just get it. The church wants to dominate. Money commands a lot of power. It is a tool of serious influence. Members of the church know this. They want a strong, influential church. They want influence beyond their homes. Today the church must be respected. As an example, you cannot contest thoughtless of winning any serious elective position in Nigeria today without 'going to see pastor'. That is the destination. Global influence and domination. Soft power. |
sweetcocoa:Why is it sad. The church is going to dominate the sane world while some other religions will dominate the 'dark' world. Honey, there is no neutrality. The reality is approaching. Someone indeed owns this world and all of us in it. |
Mannylex:Good boy. Support christianity all the way. |
kayce911:He has the right to qualify or disqualify you on the basis of any criteria he deems fit. It is a PRIVATE company. Appeal to the human rights commission. |
Adminisher:Beg him to do what. What can he do about it. Nothing. These are fundamental issues born on a faulty foundation he will never be able to change because his constituency benefits from the status quo. The fundamental reason is a oil dependent economy. To diversify you have to start by privatisation. Will he privatise the nations assets. Not likely. Common PIB they cannot even pass. Forget it. |
Of course it doesn't have gas. Has it not been a recurring theme throughout the power landscape. That we donot have a functioning gas network. Bukola Saraki knows this and he is merely trying to counter the GEJ/PDP propaganda machine with equally hopeless information. We all know these new generation plants are not working. What is new. |
Nice to see the old man hale and hearty at a grand old age. Wasn't a great fan of his administration as they squandered a lot of goodwill and enticed the military into politics by yes, wanton corruption. But you guys making jest about the health status of Buhari should stop this reprehensible behaviour. Learn to draw the line between politics, governance and privates. It is very, very cruel. |
We are defending world cup champions so expect the curse of defending champions to haunt us. I don't expect much. This country is not known for building legacies. |
ikennaoma:What kind of silly advice is this. The so called friend is trying to destroy the marraige and he must be protected. For what. If the husband has any sense he should send that friend packing. The consequences are dire. The man will come back and it will be worse. Woman draw a line, take a stand and stand firm. If your husband catches you, you lose. If you keep quiet blackmail and certain broken home will result. You are your husband's eyes behind his back. It is your duty to protect him from fake friends. His friend obviously does not respect him nor his marraige and must be ejected. |
Yes, immediately or you are complicit. All these silly friendships sef. Marraige is the ultimate level of relationship. If you have a good one you need no other friend. |
Real hero. Your type is not liked in this country or on this forum for that matter judging by the people they scream and shout about all day long. Sorry. |
I repeat again. Dreams are for people operating way below their installed physical and mental capacities. The only solution is to get busy and eliminate this waste of time and cancer of destinies. |
General Tarfa is correct. Expediency was the order of the day in the early years. Every one knows that in the nascent years of most organisations the competencies required are not exclusively academic. These come after such organisations are 'planted' and stablished. Certificates were not the priorities of the British Army in the 50's and 60's. In a fledgeling democracy such as ours certificates should not be relevant either rather leadership qualities should be prioritised. It was a mistake by INEC to include it and we should all collectively ignore it or suspend it from the statutes. Buhari must be permitted to bring his qualities to the table to balance power and found this democracy. Nigeria and the APC in particular has not done enough to broaden the political space and create a market of choices so we must collectively adopt affirmative action. I've worked for, done start-ups and tasked myself in things I am not 'certified' to do but when the resources donot equal the objectives that is the risk that has to be undertaken. Our democracy right now cannot afford certified experts. What we need right now is plain old leadership and blue collar muscle men. When it becomes a brand then we can be choosy. Leave this certificate issue and let Buhari be abeg. |
aresa:But you know when the special military budget was approved. You know when the money was released. You know of the failed and successful attempts at securing weapons. You know when the weapons started arriving. You know when the Joint Commission was put in place. You know when the armies of neighbouring countries started operations leading to these results so why..... Why, why do you question the timing. Why do you link it to the elections. Why do you choose to look away from the facts and timelines. Oga. What is the matter. What is the military's business with your politics. |
ojaydedon:Its called politics. Live with it. Its the way democracy works. It keeps leaders on their toes and ensures performance, the mirage that the electorate can be satisfied. Don't worry whenever your party is voted out of power you have been properly schooled on what to do to get back in. Stop complaining and learn quickly. The clock is ticking. |
kpez:Educate yourself please. Tieing their legs at the ankles together with those their comrades is a standard Arabian/Othman battle tactic to ensure the unit stays together in battle and doesn't break due to cowardice. Religious fundamentalist insurgents have used same since the days of Maitatsine. When things are difficult for people to understand and they can't ask proper questions nor research, nor seek credible information rumours, speculations always prevail. |
ceejay80s:Because you are renting it out you intend to do shabby, sub.standard, danerous work. Thought I could help but you need an anti.corruption orientation mister. |
2undexy:Honestly, I just don't understand this fixation with Buhari. As a governor does he not have more than enough challenges in his state. Who will call this man to order. Politics in Nigeria is really messy. |
BabaO2:We will not be ashamed of our military to satisfy your silly political inclinations. We will not get down into the mud with you. Our military has done us proud, working under extremely difficult conditions and containing the conflict within certain zones. Without them you will not have democracy thoughtless of a government thoughtless of forth coming elections. So I suggest you accord respect to those who have paid the supreme price and offer their lives day after day so you can live in peace and publish whatever you please. For your information, 1. This is an insurgency the military is facing which means Boko Haram is not a regular army. They can carry an AK one minute and farming tools the next so blending into the communities is not a problem for them. 2. Peoples of the region share the same heritage across the border into Chad, Niger and northern Cameroun. These borders are porous so the co.operation of those countries hitherto absent has made a substantial difference. 3. The transition to democracy and the consequent backlash against decades of military rule resulted in deliberate under funding, disinvestment and demobilisation of the armed forces. Equipment, logistics, training and manpower has been cut since 1999. All these challenges are being overcome and we can see the results emerging on the field. However I remain adamant that there is no military solution to this problem because the reasons are deep rooted and fundamental. But as Nigerians we owe it a duty to protect our institutions and insulate them from partisan politics because they remain even when politics and governments change and we seriously depend on their stability for our collective survival. |
This post does not even deserve a logical response. Dustbin stuff. Another new low. |
hungryboy:Same here. Got no friends. No time for excess baggage. |
Long term injury for an u20 player. These people sef. Age things. |
Nobody is talking about the condition of the road. There is no government to blame here. So what is the excuse. Silly people that will never take responsibility for anything. Always looking to blame others. |
