bashydemy:What sort of nonsense statement is this. Is it the job of the Presidency to direct army operations. Is that how government works in any country. If all the education you get in life is from the media I'm frankly sorry for you. Get properly informed. |
Edo State is in a flux. Both parties appear to have failed. It will be interesting to see what happens next. |
tatosh:Making a mess of the meaning of governance. Explain this. |
Ikengawo:Your propaganda is every colourful but there is more to life than these. There is human development too and the 'satisfaction with governance index' which is pretty low. What most people say is; fine he has done well but there is someone who may as well do better so why settle for good. Perception is a very strong thing. |
eleojo23:This is why you need localized law enforcement aka state police. It was similar in the US wild west. The things they went through led to the formation of County Policing and the office of the Sheriff. You can imagine how lawless America will be if the FBI was the all and only. There are many good things that cannot happen in Nigeria and many bad thing that will persist irrespective of governments if the structures remain the same. |
baby124:All you care about is the woman. If it was the man that cheated the woman will scream on the streets and name him after very animal Noah took into the Ark. |
otokx:Haba for now many years now. |
kingmik:Perhaps he is a missionary or evangelist or visiting professor of theology specializing in reformation history....or part of those new era pentecostal praise and entertainment groups that tour churches these days. There's quite a lot going on. Are you Buchi or A.bo.ki for Christ. |
If the APC gets into power this man might as well pack up and return to his village. |
purplesummer:His life is about government. Without government he simply cannot exist. |
chucktoon:And close down the Presidential Air Wing. I hope you can put money on this. I don't think you know Nigeria's history every well. You think Presidential jets are luxuries in Nigeria. You think Buhari's armoured cars are for fun. Without them he will be dead right now. The last Nigerian President who tried to 'press the flesh' is dead. You think this country is a joke. For your information Buhari and Idiagbon shortly after assuming power took delivery of armoured stretch mercedes benz limos and that has been standard Presidential transport till date. There is politics and there is common sense. Abeg don't mix the two. |
Descartes:In the animal kingdom, species that eat their own are an exception not the rule. Do you sincerely expect the APC to destroy itself in its proposed anti corruption war to satisfy you the masses or whatever you call yourselves. You must be living in cloud cookoo land. Democracy the world over is a system of checks and balances, turn by turn. The PDP has had its fill. I have been telling them to prepare for life in the opposition where through they may not have power but they have every chance of building their reputation with new leaders and fresh ideas. If the APC gains power its reputation can only wane. It can't get better. The fundamentals say so. Democracy is a syatem of power trade-offs. Your benefit as the common man is like the stock market. Tap in when low and exit when high. Service delivery and good governance I mean. By power trade-offs I mean the opposite sides of the politically poles. Power as in power and power as is reputation. One is kinetic the other potential. You gain one, the other party gains the other. Over time the poles reverse. That's democracy at its finest. |
Descartes:It will be selective of course. But that's okay. Democracy works best when its turn by turn. |
Where are all the anti-private-jet setters. Afterall an aspiring President should be practicing how to fly commercial like European leaders do or is there an exception, perhaps an oversight..... One thing for sure. Corruption is what the others are doing where and when we cannot. That is why corruption cannot never end in Nigeria. APC. Get set. Your days of innocence, your best days are over. It will be criticism and derision from hence forth. That is democracy. |
That feeling you have when your dog grabs a bone thrown over the fence to compromise your security. Afterall are they not society's watchdogs. With these sort of things little wonder no important questions will be asked and little insight into 'matters that matter', just the usual litter, '....an unnamed, unidentified staff of INEC who didn't want his identity disclosed said and I quote, I don't want my identity revealed because I don't want to be seen to be taking sides, so I won't be saying more, thank you...end quote. This is Waste of time, chicken grabber reporting for CNN Nigeria...' Not every problem is leadership. The average Nigerian is all about his belly. I wonder how they feel if they hear tomorrow that the INEC budget for chow and entertainment is 1 billion. Will they be able to open their chicken filled mouths. Now make same governor or President with free access to state treasury. And some hypocrites excuse 'their hunger' simply because they are 'the little guys'. We are just a corrupt people. |
EfemenaXY:Ouch! Piss up tree trunks. Below the belt ma'am. |
Jusy tired of saying No!! to politically induced violence and yet some justify it. Others continue to throw e-stones. Thuggery is alive and kicking on Nairaland. |
byrron:What the heck is a PVC. The only PVC I know is in my toilet. You know, the pipe that evacuates my...by-product to the reservoir for processing. Is that what INEC is giving out....damn.!!!! |
Lousymouth:He's just as fed up as me. I can't imagine enduring another month of this cyberspace insurgency. |
HumbledbYGrace:We don't need their help. They are not our friends. They should go and 'help' Iraq and Syria. |
Amefrica:Told you several times. They are not your friends. They are your competition. You friend is one that comes to your house, eats your good, watches your tv and eyes your wife with the faint hope of taking over some day. And when you growl he calls you names in public. If we had let them establish military bases, change our military's training and doctrine, ceded command and control and of course paid them for 'all the help' with oil allocations then we will be their friends. Nonsense yanks. It is better to die fighting insurgents than to live under American jackboots and drones. |
4stylz:Impossible to satisfy you folks. You said the American military carries CNN to war. You said American weaponry is on Discovery Channel and its military TRADOC is on History Channel now ours is on Nairaland we want do keep secrets What's with you guys and consistency. Flip flops are only for Sunday afternoon's at the beach not for successful campaigns against those who will slit your throat on divine orders from above. |
rhamses:The list of ex-boys lost in conflicts is becoming something else. |
sammy6:I see. Then he was a soldier's soldier. Utmost respect. Spent the better part of his life serving the country. RIP. |
Atletico. Fast becoming Real's bogey man. |
Please, please, please. Just keep God Almighty and his beloved Son out of partisan politics. He is not interested. |
SiriusBlack:Thanks for the detail. I know the gun inside out even in my sleep. |
EasternLeopard:122 Medium (Intermediate) Artillery Piece. |
SiriusBlack:My former pals. Nostalgia. That's a 105mm light. |
All over the country. Not just Lagos. Nigeria doesn't start and end in Lagos. |
Isay Hire Two. The only black Blatter. The only Camerounian Amos Adamu. I hail oh. Its always about the dead American Presidents. |
Pangea:Ragtag abi. Time will tell. I hope I remember this down the line when the elections are long gone but the insurgency rages on. Donot deny then. |
