Hmm. My first ride was white, a honda prelude coupe. I tell you its a major undertaking and a mental strain-drain to keep it as you bought it. You go to the airport and have to park like in Mongolia cause you need a wide spot away from careless door swings. You can't go to the market with those hopeless barrow pushers. You can't do school runs or your ride will be the next white board. Hmmm, not worth it except its commercial - company car so the headache is borne by motorpool.

Yes. Everyone knows there is corruption. If you were there since fellow africans sold their brothers into slavery till this age whereby your momma is 'sorting' out your common entrance exams, you will be well versed in it.

The real problem has always been the underlying, root causes and the effective, permanent way out. That is where we defer. And if two Nigerians cannot agree on the what, where and how of corruption due to a myriad of reasons, the ensuing systemic leakage makes eradicating it nigh impossible.

There are many parts of Nigeria where this occurs almost on a daily basis. It is our unique type of development. I wonder what the insurance community has to say about this.

We've got the EPL on lock - we can't afford to mess that up now.

Coupled with the fact that we've not won it since like forever now. The focus should be on that, and next season.

We just need to do the right deals in the summer. Personally, I'll like to see Thorgan Hazard on that team...and maybe Loftus-Cheek would be eased into the team as well. With probably two big mega-deals - a striker and someone as creative as Fabregas. Loftus-Cheek can grow into Matic's role - he has the size and technique.
My friend. When skill has peaked in capacity progress is only possibe through a different philosophy. That Chelsea team is as complete and balanced as any team in Europe and contains as much talent as Barcelona or Bayern with one or two exceptions on a position for position basis. They need no new players. Skill has peaked. What failed them was philosophy - their set up, their approach, their way which failed them.

Mourinho's fault?, perhaps. The English game? definitely. It is so out of touch and desperately far behind the world game that it readily accepts voodoo solutions like a 40-ish lady looking to snag a husband. That is why sometimes Mourinho's more exotic tactics are followed hook, line and sinker even unto death while same could not be stomached in Spain.

Football like anything in life has trends, seasons and evolving systems. 'Tiki-Taka' has reigned, expired and gone. Why we believe 'Park n Shop' will work for ever beats me. No. Chelsea has all the players, all the cards. All it needs is a better hand and perhaps a lucky casino.

English football remains the best. It is what sport is all about. Competition but above all, pure drama, pure fun. The quality may be wack but when you consider Bond is over 50 years and 25 films old and Bourne is stuttering at 4 then you realise there's more to life than winning always. Have fun.

Being a very diplomatic country they are, America will never come out to tell you that they can't deploy troops against boko haram because they don't like the present nigerian government. The handwriting on the wall is legible enough. Since GEJ has gotten to power Nigeria relationship with other foreign countries has been soiled tremendously. His relationship with Obama is bad likewise with David Cameron. Nobody wants to associate with this man. But they are all watching keenly nigeria election. If Jonathan wins genuinely they are going to leave nigerians to their fate for another 4 years. But if Buhari wins, they will observe him for months and see if he's someone they can associate with. And if GEJ rigs the election he should be expected to be ousted out like Gbagbo by the world power
Nigeria still remains the place for investments showing a clear line between the peoples of those countries and the politicians of those countries. Why. And which is sincere and of benefit to you. The government or the markets.

Third world, african countries will always be viewed as conquered territories with puppet leaders. Should Buhari kowtow if elected, that is his choice. But believe me it will not pay Nigeria at all. They, the west do not want us independent and strong. That is a fact. Anyone trying to establish that will become their enemy.

Though I hate his guts but just ask Mugabe. Or even Museveni in Uganda. Once you adopt an independent ideology they feet threatened. But what do they do for countries that play good boy to daddy. What have they done for countries such as Ghana with a tanked economy. Nothing.

All GEJ needs to do to get them all lovey dovey again is to burn the PIB.

So much information, so much intel out there but the Nigerian factor, the system, the structure will not allow institution to work and appropriate action taken. How can it be that the son of a former Chief Justice is shielded from the law. What was the father practicing then.

It is high time Nigerians realise that issues about the sustenance and development of this country go beyond the symbolism politics and governance portends. Our system is fundamentally flawed. We donot have the foundation for the equipment required to handle the complexities our society offers. Unfortunately we have been led on a wild goose chase thinking change in Aso Rock means change to Nigeria. Since independence we have had a dozen or so changes in leadership. Different ideologies, different approaches. Conservative, liberal, military, civilian, etc. The only constant is the decline in all indicies of human and corporate existence. We need to wake up and educate ourselves and refuse to be DISTRACTED from the real issues that matter by those who permit and protect the current ways of Nigeria to our collective woe.

Please come to where I stay. There is not an iota of fear or anxiety here. I have not offered a single prayer concerning Nigeria and elections because I cannot waste my time clearing the smoke from the fire another man is lighting. Those who generate fear and anxiety are those who first taste it. I am not interested in any party, I am not voting, I have no PVC as I have not sought any. This is not very correct.
If there is no righteous person among the contestants, will the position be vacant?
It is about time my fellow Pentecostals begin to accept the biblical truth that God can raise an ungodly king to fulfil his plan and even use him for His greater good. God is not myopic like most humans, he sees the bigger picture and is always working and aligning all events for His greater good. His will at the moment can be the ungodly.
He is correct. You are wrong. The biblical synonym for godly is holy. So ungodly can also be termed unholy. Righteousness on the other hand means, 'of right standing'. It refers to one's positioning rather than content or state. Thus a man can be holy and not righteous and a man can be righteous and not holy.

Technically, righteousness is simply excercising faith in God's Word. The capacity to believe and act on God's instructions. You don't have to be a Christian to do this. From biblical to modern times people have obeyed God and He has rewarded their faith. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the Centurion and even a couple of pagan kings were not Christians but were righteous and got rewarded for their faith. God's righteousness is usually inputed at the bequest of His Will. Thus when He wants to get something important done He finds who will do the job no matter the person's standing because He is Creator and Sovereign.

Holiness or godliness on the other hand requires personal consecration, a personal relationship with God. These days only possible via Jesus Christ. It is the state of a person's soul in relation with God. Interestingly. You can be holy and have little or no faith. The disciples were often like this, cleansed but often fearful, unbelieving and it worried Jesus.

Except for Tuface, Asa, lagbaja, dbanj and flavour to an extent, most Nigerians artistes are pretty much wack when it comes to performing on stage. From the annoying way they lip-synch on stage everytime and breathing too hard and too fast into the mic, to their uncoordinated jumping around like stage monkey's while performing...this very much begs for reasoning if our artistes are truly professionals or just overhyped stage clowns.

We have all seen in recent times a lotta uninspiring stage performances from our so called grade a international artistes... From psquare at the glo-caf awards to wizkid forgettable performance in Kenya. Little wonder they are always sidelined when nominations for the Grammys comes around. If you want to be compared to the Beyoncé, Adele, jayz, Coldplay of this world, you shouldn't be caught dead churning out horrible performances like the one I watched at the AMVCA.

Christianity Etc › Re: 20 Common Dreams And Spiritual Warfare (please Read) by Reference(m): 7:31am On Mar 08, 2015
I'm sorry but this is one area I can't help but comment. As a bible believing, faith based Christian, this is absolute hogwash. No where in the New Testament, no time in Christ is and does dreaming and dreams possess any scriptural and spiritual significance.

I repeat. Dreaming is a result of the mind working 'far below installed and operational capacity' aka idle mind or vacumn chamber. God gains access to our soul through our mind and the way it is set up (mind set, profile) is important to how well we receive clear and proper signals.

People who dream have a mindset programmed to receive signals from any and every transmitter and you better pray Satan is not broadcasting.

The antidote to dreaming is hard, focused, inspired work and lifestyle. Wake early, work hard and sleep when your body cannot take it anymore. Your life will be better and thank you for it.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Good To Have Close Friendship With An Unbeliever As A Christian? by Reference(m): 7:08am On Mar 08, 2015
Xano:
always study bible scriptures with different bible translations.

in Message translation:
2 Corinthians 6:14-16
Don't become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a patnership out of right and wrong? That's not patnership; that's war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God's holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way: "I'll live in them, move into them; I'll be their God and they'll be my people..."
And you should also try and understand scriptures. I often liken the bible to a tent of habitation having poles at the ends with the canopy covering in between. A lot of Christians often dwell on the edges, the extremeties of God's Will and subject themselves to untennable and sometimes embarassing situations.

Leave the edges where the sun and rain reaches and dwell in the centre. Yes Satan is at one end doesn't mean you should rush to the other end. God has put you in charge and has given you wisdom and power to amongst other things handle relationships.

The Pharisees were shocked Jesus could sit and dine with sinners because they dwell where you are, on the extremes of scripture, you are hanging on the tent pole. Come down and stay with Jesus in the centre and relate if you may with wisdom and power. Be in charge of the conversation, be the Light of the friendship because the day he will send you like he sent Peter to an unbeliever what are you going to do, disobey? And be like the man who is selling water from his borehole to the neighbourhood but put a big, hostile dog in his yard. It doesn't make sense.

Light and darkness don't mix. When Christians befriends rational people, they tend to free up from their self imposed bondage. They let go their reluctance to look further.
Very right. That is why the scripture I quoted is the most balanced one I can find and has been my anchor in these issues. Also when you look at the life and times of Jesus you will find clear manifestations.

That relationships between believers and unbelievers cannot exist and operate on equal footings. And I speak of non institutionalised relationships such as friendships, associations and partnerships.

Institutionalised relationships such as marraige are sacrosanct, must be between believers because these are purpose built by God himself.

The bible never said we should not have relations with unbelievers. We are just not to love their WAYS and FOLLOW after them because these will often put us at variance with God's laws, commands, ordinances and statutes. But often we have to interact with them to accomplish God's Will and purpose so the scripture mandates us to always be in charge of the relationship in all aspects: conversation, mannerism, purpose, etc. We simply cannot be the junior partner in friendships with unbelievers.

Test: Stand for the Truth in all matters. If there is constant dispute or misunderstanding and you remain resolute, that friendship is spiritually healthy. If you find yourself being 'led' down the aisle, the Holy Spirit will sound the alarm and you will have to eject or crash.

This is troubling news and Nigerians need to understand that the BH issue can no longer be treated with kids gloves.

This new relationship with ISIS is strategic because it will encourage and increase the use of foreign fighters, making the fight against BH more difficult.

What Nigeria needs now is a leader that can put political considerations aside and fight this menace head on, utilizing our military resources efficiently to curtail BH.

We need change in this country before things get out of hand.
What Nigeria needs now are patriots ready to elevate the flag above all other considerations and not just wailing for 'so called leaders' the way a child screams for mommy and daddy. Will 'leaders' man the checkpoints and border crossings. Will leaders report suspicious neighbours and snitch to save their country. Man wake up.

Scripture is very clear. It says: 'Donot be UNEQUALLY YOKED with unbelievers. So go to your dictionary and find out what 'unequal' and a 'yoke' is.

In a layman's terms and in biblical context it simply means, donot share an unequal burden in your relationship with unbelievers. This means anything from peer pressure to business partnerships. God wants you to be the principal, the head honcho, to drive the pace, to give direction, to make decisions, to lead. He simply cannot operate in you if you are subjected, submissive and subjugated to one who has ties with His adversary.

If you must make friends with unbelievers you must be in total control. You cannot be the mule to them. You must be the rider.

So the whole excersise doesn't make sense. If Portharcourt is less livable. Why more expats there. Shouldn't you say that as far as Nigeria is concerned, for the expats livability is all about the dollar and they gravitate towards the prime source - oil.
