The pitch is not good at all. The ball is just bouncing all over the place. Thought they said it was just relaid.

Politics › Re: What Manner Of An Opposition Party Is APC? by Reference(m): 7:20pm On Sep 02, 2014
I disagree with you. Opposition, no matter how vocal but non incitive, non physical and non violent is not only legitimate but desirable. I think it is because we have run a one party state for too long. In say fifty years time when both parties will have settled down and tasted power in equal measure, succeeding and failing in equal terms along the way, then I'm sure your view will change.

The PDP like I continue to emphasize should begin to prepare for life in opposition, it should begin to learn how to criticise and throw its own brick-bats and tantrums both real and perceived. Its style of 'big man, take it easy politics' cannot go on forever. It has barely been able to regain any state it lost to the APC or even dreamt of unseating any old ACN/CPC > APC stronghold based on 'political capital' it gained as a result of any APC state controlled failures. And this is simply because it has been too naive and lazy to try. Perhaps if it was doing the 'assaulting' the APC will have been doing the defense. But a timid attempt at the Oshiomhole 'Go and Die' gaffe is the best I can remember the PDP mustered in ten years of reasonable opposition.

But I also think and hope the PDP will learn quickly when power is eventually lost at the centre. What will become of the party is another matter for it has little ideology or thinks of forming any. The PDP has no real back bone. As an institution years of turbulence has left it weak internally and it may just crumble leaving us with yet another one-party state and then the problem turns full circle.

PDP should stop whinning and do what political parties the world over do. Fight to get there, fight to stay there.

This is very good news particularly on the Lagos side of things. If not for the run-away diplomat this sad chapter will be closing by now. I am confident that the initial headstart the virus got in Portharcourt due to concealment will be reined in quickly. The authorities are doing remarkably well so far.

Sobrit: I have askd and will ask again, what is the airforce doing? If bh has land power with more sophisticated weapons, do they have the air advantage the nig troops have? They took over gwoza and other towns and still advancing, why not use the air and shell d hell out of them including and most especially destroying/ demobilizing those equipments including the armoured personell carriers seized by these monsters frm d nig troops. Or are d chibok girls wth them also in those towns they just captured and declared caliphate? Why cannot the nig soldiers use all in their arsenal to curb these menace
So you think they took those girls and made it a world wide media circus for nothing. Well done. Continue bombing. I just hope you are not one of the 'bring back campàigners'.

Jakpon: If they succeed in capturing Bama, i can confidently tell you that we'v already lost the war. The weapons at the barrack in Bama alone is sufficient enough to overrun the entire country.
I thought people said the army wasn't well equiped. We should kindly stick to one story. Thanks.

Shilka is the nickname of the ZSU-23-4, a lightly armored, self-propelled, radar guided anti-aircraft weapon system (SPAAG)
It went into service in 1965 and its not modern at all! grin
A fearsome and deadly weapon system!
I believe Nigeria already have it in her armory!

There is no other weapon system in the world in this category that can come near it. It is the most effective weapon system in its class. It out-guns all the rotary cannons the west has to offer even the ship mounted defenders.

cococandy: There was panic in the air when the ebola news broke.
*when she came and said she nursed one,a normal person would have flipped.
But he was cool.
*When she started showing symptoms and he became suspicious,he didn't run to avoid getting infected with the the virus.
*When she lay dying and he was still fit and about,he didn't shy away from her when it was obvious the hospital wasn't doing their best.
*He was doing this even when his own status hadn't been confirmed. A normal person would have stayed away just to preserve what little chance they had at escaping the disease in case they hadn't already got infected
I disagree with you completely. And will continue to dispute many other similar responses. All the points higlighted are borne out of sentiment and go against common sense and statutory instructions on how and what to do in cases of suspected or proven exposure. Sentiment brought this virus to Nigeria. Sentiment has spread it as far as Portharcourt today. Whether we like it or not, this is not a disease to approach in any way no matter your feelings for the afflicted. It simply cannot be handled without the best PPE. If you are not properly trained and equiped you are just going to kill yourself and possibly infect yet more in the process.

Once a suspicion is raised get in touch with the authorities immediately. Do not attempt to administer any care whatsoever. You will only worsen the situation.

Diversity. We are peoples so different. How we remain as a political entity is a masterpiece to the world. A country like Nigeria should simply not exist, let alone thrive.

M4gunners: If you check my comments, i was praying for Wenger to resign Cesc but this Man refused.
And this is a man that has speculated on almost all the forwards in Europe. Everyone he admires and wants to come but none he ever signs. Benzema, Gonzalo, Morata, Benteke, Demba Ba, Draxler and lately Loic remy. He continues to roar like a lion in speculation but purrs like a pussy cat in the market. How can a club that consistently ranks in the top 7 in terms of revenues and consistently qualifies for the Champions League not be able to attract the best global talents if not for the unattractiveness of its coach. I bet the day Wenger leaves more players will be willing to go to that club. It is so sad.

Even if he cannot or will not buy, why not convert someone like Chamberlain to CF. He's far better than Sanogo and he's english and used to these bruising battles lower league teams bring when they confront Arsenal. Arsenal is too 'European' for the Premiership and Ozil is a poster boy for 'softie' footy.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Leicester Vs Arsenal (1 - 1) On 31st August 2014 by Reference(m): 5:29pm On Aug 31, 2014
My fear is that the all-round, high tempo game of such an invaluable player as Sanchez may lead to burn out when he is most needed - the business end of the season. Wenger just has to buy quality back-up. If he hasn't learned from the Ramsey blow-out last season then what is all his so called experience about.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Leicester Vs Arsenal (1 - 1) On 31st August 2014 by Reference(m): 5:02pm On Aug 31, 2014
Arsenate: well, I seriously doubt if Sanogo can fetch some reasonable box in the future...
on another note, I believe Wenger should just go already. he's run out of ideas and has taken Arsenal the farthest he can. R. Martinez or Klopp should take over from him. Arsenal serious needs fresh ideas.
Arsenal cant win the league with Wenger.
What I've been saying for at least four years now. Can't teach an old dog new tricks (no offense intended).
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Leicester Vs Arsenal (1 - 1) On 31st August 2014 by Reference(m): 4:51pm On Aug 31, 2014
Arsenate: it's so frustrating. Lukaku couldn't even make Chelsea team yet Sanogo is our second choice striker.
Wenger is working hard to turn our team into a joke.
Well more like turn it into a profit. I've watched Wenger long enough to know what goes on behind the scenes. Every year he buys certain players specifically with a view to profiting from them financially only. There are footballing players and then there are financial players. These he buys low, sells high. Just like a stock broker who buys certain stocks to keep and others to trade. Of course he must then 'advertise' these 'cash' players so that their value increases. So exposing them in such matches is like the 'fattening' process. Deep down he knows these are not world class players and cannot win him silver but their value will rise to make Arsenal a profit down the line. Arsenal rarely sells at a loss.....not that there's anything fundamentally wrong in this....but as Blatter will say....for the good of the game....
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Leicester Vs Arsenal (1 - 1) On 31st August 2014 by Reference(m): 4:30pm On Aug 31, 2014
Arsenate: I genuinely feel Wenger is playing Sanogoal to spite us arsenal fans. that guy can't make MK Dons bench.
Thank you. Most Gunners fans like Wenger are just hoping he comes good, grows into a world class striker. To win silver you need better than that. You don't need promises, you need guarantees. Can Sanogo guarantee 20 odd goals in the prem or a killer winning goal against barcelona in the Nou Camp UCL semi's if Sanchez is out. I think not.

Almost 60 matches this season. Are you kidding. There is no player who can single-handedly cope. He needs an equally capable shadow on the bench.
