Wenger had better get a proper, proven centre forward if he wants to lift any silver. Sanogo is not.

Aystormz: Bro they try and u can't knock them for that. Those average superstars in Europe need a worldclass manager to help them jel as a formidable team. This pochetinno guy, regardless of his 'mean' achievements at Southampton doesn't just look it for me. His pre-match talk alone is some big joke.
I don't think so. Tino is a good coach. Punches way above his weight. But just how many good coaches will these average players and Tottenham's fickle management dismiss.

Tottenham doesn't have it in the heart in these big matches. They are the principal culprits when it comes to inflated transfers, always rounding up avarage players from Europe masquerading as superstars.

They should just sort out but I donot recommend a consensus. Let the people decide who is more suited for the job but whoever emerges must be supported by ALL party members including other contestants towards the larger national contest. Discord is normal. It is consensus I fear. It has ruined Nigeria. If the likes of Kwankwaso never disputed with the PDP we will have remained a one-party state with the attendant political and state degradation.

redsun: The jim jones threat is that is his fold encourages and tolerates violence. And it starts with dictatorship, verbal abuse, minor violence, torture, murder and forced suicide.

A school is suppose to be a place where children learn interactively, feel safe, confident and protected.
And these ideals you speak about are not viewed universally by parents. Same was said about his schools in Nigeria but almost a decade later parents still send their kids there. You fail to recognize the diversity of opinion. Not everyone is an atheist or free thinker or free spirited being. He is offering to his members a choice of attending a school that projects his values and that of the church. People who do not even attend to his church say no. Will you say that of schools under jewish, islamic, catholic, mormon, 7th day adventist rules and curriculums.

Religion is very hypnotic, the vulnerable and the fundamentally(inherently) ignorant falls prey easily. They have to be saved from themselves and fortunately uk is a society governed by the rule of law.It is been like this for over nine hundred years since the conquering normans introduced the common laws and procedural justice system of which nigeria and the rest of the colonized world myopically and inadvertently copies today.
He is seeking permission to establish a SCHOOL. What diffrentiates him or his church from other faiths or denominations that run schools. What is the 'Jim Jones' threat in that.

Xtfield: There are Nigerians in the UK who do not like the school system there but will not like their children to come to school in Nigeria. I guess these kind of schools will meet their needs. I dont really think the Bishop has Britons in mind. I bet u when the school opens 99% of its patrons will be Nigerians or Africans.
Thanks. Really donot know why people react this way. It is a church, a religious organization. It has its preferences, period. Other religions, other christian denominations have their ways, their codes, their standards. Why Oyedepo and Winners chapel. What sort of threat does this man pose that it works people up so much. I think there is something people are not saying because its shameful. But its understandable.

Why not. The atheist world view him and his moves as a threat so its normal. But the schools are for his members and others who see value in a christian based education. Its a choice that everyone has and other faiths and denominations enjoy. It is wrong to discriminate against the church, its leaders and its members but it is expected.

Politics › Re: 248 Containers Of Power Transmission Equipment Sat At Apapa Port For 11 YEARS! by Reference(m): 2:01pm On Aug 30, 2014
This is an old story from the Obasanjo regime and Okonjo Iweala and co are well familiar with it. The Ministry of Finance through the Customs Service insisted duty be paid on the equipment but the agencies charged with handling to state of emergency on power insisted on a waiver being 'critical equipment' so the contractors who imported the stuff merely abandoned them at the ports incurring heavy demmurage. After a while a scandal broke when the Customs then decided the auction off the equipment at some ridiculous rate (something like 5% of their value) and it was alleged then that some Customs top shot had bought some containers and the equipment had been removed. The scandal broke, the public went up in arms and the containers were ordered to be returned. Typically we never heard what happened after that.

Its all part of the 12 billion dollar Obasanjo power intervention. The money was not all stolen but the execution was really really bad. Various government agencies were working at cross purposes and it led to these kinds of waste. I just hope these containers have not been vandalised and the contents exchanged for scrap metal. That is Nigeria for you. Stronger men than institutions run this place.

emiye: That PH doctor is a traitor, and he deserved to die. Imagine treating and managing an ebola patient in a local hotel, what now happens to the beddings, which the unaware hotel workers will have direct contact with.

A true and patriotic doctor will secretly inform the health authorities, and get the man locked down in a recognised isolation centre, but this criminal doctor was penny wise pound foolish.
That is the thinking of the average Nigerian in all facets of life. From the doctor that knowingly handles clandestine ebola cases to the banker that launders billions for persons he rightfully knows who earn just thousands, to the immigration officers who are busy issuing passports to aliens in exchange for cash in the offices while their colleagues at the ports turn a blind eye to the thermometer readings and bid new infected cases through. The society is done, made up of saboteurs at all levels.

Most Nigerians will flee my friend.

I repeat again. The disobedience and corruption of Nigerians is a major ally of this viral pandemic. At least we have no one, no government, no church, no mosque, no religion, no tribe, no political party to hide behind and blame for our woes. Can we now see that Nigeria is the way it is because of Nigerians, nothing else. Pity.

matify: Where are the Artillery boys?

They should take coordinates and pulverise this scallywags to their desired end.

Now that they have commenced a symmetrical war - the type conventional Armies fight- I know their end is near.
The report makes it clear why whole scale action cannot be taken against these insurgents including the artillery and armoured corps so far, the presence of civilians. Assymetric warfare is exceptionally hard for any army and we should be very careful the way we criticise. When insurgents attack into civilian areas and retreat into the populace it is not easy to diffrentiate between combatant and civilian and harder to hit them precisely without collateral damage. America found it impossible in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia. Russia, Spain, Pakistan, Colombia and India same. There is no country till date that has militarily defeated an insurgency. If there is tell me. We simply cannot defeat Boko Haram by force of arms. David Cameron speaking of ISIS says it will take decades to clean the fall-out. That's why I have always advocated a de-escalation of the situation. A conversion of the insurgency not into a full blown war but de-escalated into a crime and justice situation similar to what happened in Northern Ireland.

As long as people continue to live in those places heavy arms will be controversial and limited. That is the kind of warfare our army is largely trained and equiped for. That BH will take over towns, sack them of all living things, erect their flags and walk the streets thus inviting bombardment and anihilation is a mistake which they may not make again.

The real question I will ask is why the government will still allow civilians to live in or close to those areas. In my opinion they should all be evacuated, the towns locked down and any civilian found 'living' under a flag not Nigerian considered an enemy combatant no matter what badge they wear. You just cannot conduct successful military campaigns in sitting rooms, playgrounds, churches, mosques and admist everyday life. It is impossible.

NB: And as for Cameroun, it is easy for them to fire artillery rounds into Nigeria from across the border. They are not obliged to preserve any life afterall it is not their country. It is a pity.

He was said to have operated on a woman on Monday presumably after secretly treating the diplomat. Fell ill next day Tuesday and died last Friday. No one knew about this hotel angle which was a very big risk he took...and unethical thing to do.. He was ill for 3 days...then started vomiting blood with bloody diarrhoea. He was rushed to Prime...where he was rejected and then taken to Good heart whose MD is a Cardiologist ..a consultant physician with UPTH. He died there. Good heart is on EVO road in GRA ph2 THE Doctor that died practices in East West Road Rumuokoro...Sam Steel clinic. The wife also a Doctor has a 3-month old baby. There may have been well over 200 contacts of this devilish diplomat who lured his young Doctor friend to treat him secretly and went back to Lagos. I hear he has eventually submitted himself for Ebola check in a bid to get a clearance certificate to fly out..he tested positive and is now quarantined in lagos..It's quite a calamity unfolding in Ph. Unfortunately Ph health facilities are not quite ready to contain Ebola at the moment. There are American experts and federal and WHO health workers in town however training Drs and other healthworkers and helping out with contact tracing etc .
Are doctors on the same page with us on halting this onslaught or what. What is all this nonsense. Why couldn't they call the attention of the authorities immediately the symptoms showed. I think it is time to consider stripping any doctor of his or her practicing license for concealing and attempting to treat what should be termed an 'official matter'. Why is the Federal Government/Ministry of Health so slow at rolling out the 'rules of engagement'. The other patients in these clinics have a right to life and not a further threat to their well being. Any doctor who knowingly admits an ebola patient should simply do time if they survive. All ebola patients should be handed over to the Feds sharp, sharp. I'm livid. angry angry angry
Health › Re: Two Cases Of Ebola Confirmed In Port Harcourt by Reference(m): 1:21pm On Aug 28, 2014
Most people I speak to, even doctors and other medical personnel appear more worried about the 'stigma' attached to the disease than the prospects of surviving an infection unfortunately. Some even go as far as to say one is 'unlikely to be able to integrate into society'. And I respond.....if you come out alive by the way. This is the problem with Nigerians or blacks. They are so much more concerned about image, the superficial than the facts, the realities they face. If not why will an educated, informed person seek clandestine treatment for ebola, evading quarantine. Is there any hospital around with the facilities to sustain treatment or the drugs to maintain life or reverse the case. Is your best bet not coming out in the open so that the resources of 'the world' are at your disposal at this stage in the pandemic. Which private clinic can help you, people who cannot save themselves.

If the American missionaries had quietly returned to the US and booked into a private clinic, they will both be dead today and infected many more people. But they cried out and are hailed today as survivors. Nigerians, use your heads. Government does not have to plead, coerce or kill anyone to handle this crises. People should be willing to save themselves and others, especially their loved ones who they are infecting and killing by simply picking up their phone and calling for help immediately they observe the symptoms. Early detection and palliation is the closest chance any man has of surviving. Hide and die, simple.

Nigerians, wise up.

babygirlfl: This is not a problem with women only. This is a problem with society. We practice master slave relationship in almost every sector. Boss to staff, government to the people being governed, pastor to members, husband to wife, madam to house girl, lecturer to student. civil servant to civilians and the list goes on. There is constant abuse of position and leadership in our society. We as a society need to change the way we think.
That is not what he is saying. Why do women have this penchant for seeking to humiliate people they have 'power' over. I was visiting a building site sometime ago, a storey building overlooking a bungalow beside. It was the raised voice that attracted my attention. Apparently a 'madam' was 'correcting' her 'dirty' househelp by superintending over her bath outside the house, in the open compound, in full view of her kids when the house has sanitary facilities, and this was a high school age kid. I felt bad. A man will not do this to his houseboy.
Christianity Etc › Re: Can The Curse Of A Parent Hinder One's Destiny? by Reference(m): 11:30am On Aug 26, 2014
You have to understand how things work. Man has constant inputs to his system from birth through our sensory organs, sight, hearing, taste, touch, smell. The mind processes these inputs and communicates it to the hands, feet and other organs to act appropriately. So it is important as a first step that whoever and whatever wants to influence the concluding part - acts, action, has to start by offering you inputs. As long as you can stop inputs you can control acts. If they get through your next defence is to control the way your mind processes inputs.

As Christians the Bible enjoins us to hear first and further 'renew' our minds by what we hear. Only then can we attain certain abilities and 'act' appropriately which 'justifies' is and makes us acceptable to God. It also tells us to 'flee' sensory attacks and 'guard' our mind (the door to the heart) with all diligence.

What this all means is that nothing happens to you without 'your' express permission. Thus we just cannot blame someone or something else for what happens (in a continuous tense and manner - for emphasis!!!) to us. This is the basis of God's judgement. Every man is a product of his 'thinking' because you cannot out perform your thoughts nor profit from what you donot know.

Thus if a man falls to a curse it simply means you've heard it, processed it in your mind and 'acted' it out. Similarly if a man is elevated by a 'blessing' it means he has heard it or perhaps read it, processed it in his mind and acted it out. Man is created a free mortal with no inhibitions whatsoever even from God.

No man can influence you except if you play along.
