That shouldn't bother you for now, it will go up as long as you keep engaging in financial transactions online and paying back direct debits.
Use credit card to pay for things and not debit card then setup direct debit to payback.
I can't remember the last time i use my debit cards, i use credit card no matter how little the transaction. I have a phone on contract tho, so I just stabilised enough to pay it on time recently. |

Any immigrant with mortgage deserves some credit even if that mortgage is for 50 yrs it does not matter because its an asset, the house can be sold or re-mortgaged even before the mortgage period ends and the equity /profit from that could be used for another investment. They think it is easy to build credit score to afford a mortgage. They think it's every Dick and Harry can just get mortgage like that. Me that my credit score is looking like pass mark. |

sugarkemi: Planning to have soon. Just got married last year. I will be very blunt with you. Since you are married, that's a very good combination, all you need to do is avoid having kids at the moment until you are no more a student and have secured a job here. The disadvantages of having kids in the UK whilst a student surpasses the advantage of which when looked at doe not even have any advantage to begin with. Having a baby here will not give that baby a British passport. It will be a whole lotta hassle. You will have to incorporate the baby's time in your time. Best bet, leave the baby thing and go for it when you can, for now, no. |

pansophist: Imagine Chinese governors coming to Nairobi for a meeting. Just imagine that. No shame. I think this is to expend their travel allowance as they get more the further they travel. What they don't realise is that they are also selling their self respect too. USA will never do any meeting concerning their country in another country. Likewise the UK. It is only African countries (West Africa), that will sell their self-esteem just so they can steal. What's the use of going to another country to decide on which presidential candidate to support? The people of Nigeria are dumb for choosing dumb people to represent them. There is no dignity at all. Just imagine, having meeting in another country to decide on a presidential candidate, it's not as if these candidates lives in the country they had the meeting in. UK did us so bad, I mean amongst the countries UK colonised we are amongst the country not doing well if not the only country. |

pansophist: London doesn't even feels like London anymore, it feels like Jamaica. If your idea of the UK is through the lense of Mr Bean movie or James Bond, then you need to update.
I was in Birmingham and Luton this summer for a visit, and it feels like I was in the middle East. Middle easterner everywhere with their women covering themselves from head to toe exposing just their face. It feels like the city is majority populated by Muslims.
You'll see more foreigners in London than ethnic English people. It's like Lagos pro max. Unless you go deep into the country, London just doesn't feel like London anymore. There are shops you'll go to and the person attending to you hardly speaks good English.
If you want to japa, target places like new Zealand, Australia, even Ireland is better. And if you do not mind the cold, Nordic countries are good. Your quality of life will improve, with huge space that is badly lacking in the UK. You went to Luton, Luton is known as the Paki Base in UK and these guys are horrible to anyone doesn't matter your race or how long you lived there. |

temi777: We Nigerians and our one way thinking. Yes there are jobs in UK for international students we just dont see them or rather our one way thinking dont make it possible. I only share this with my family members before but I am so annoyed I will share it with you. If you are coming here please learn a trade in Naija before coming-capentary,tailoring,barbing,plumbing,roadside mechanics -These things will make you rich even as a student in UK . A mechanic will earn at least £200 a day, plumbers sometimes £70 an hour , who do you think cuts the black people's hair in UK? but the problem is that people come with the mindset that they want to get job in Tesco alongside their studies. no come with these skills and you will be very ok or otherwise pass your driving test and become a courier or sell things in the market. just think damn out of the box . I self sponsored for 4 years in UK and im now a British citizen since long ago . If you are ready to pay consultancy to me mehhn your landing will be smooth. Self ive divulged too much, lol, that's a joke but i like to help. UK is still dripping with money just change your mindset and learn the street a bit. selah
The aforementioned jobs are not even being monitored by the government so technically you can do 100 hours a week if you like and nobody can prove it . A friend's wife sells Marykay self and makes big bucks. stop your working in Tesco mentality and UK will be nice for you. peace Think about this-my mechanic in Hackney told one day bros I bought two houses cash . Noone bothers with him because the government cannot monitor them and things are done under the table. Im a software engineer but studying in UK is far better than studying in America and Canada and you are likely to get your kpali if you know how to play the system without anything fraudulent self. All the people shouting UK no get job should wake up if they want to come and learn from my advice. Now where is my consultancy fee NAIRALANDERS? You want make I shock you? A lot of Nigerians still carry that one way thinking. Them never learn any of the skills you mentioned above. |

And some of these options that you've mentioned, do you know how difficult it is to get a date for Visa appointment especially Germany and Poland but if they apply from the U.K their applications will be processed faster After all, how many people are moving from U.K to these countries.
Think of it this way, it's way easier to move from U.K to other European countries than moving from Nigerian.
And finally, you people should quit with the U.K threads, not everyone going there are fools. Or maybe, you're just another paid government agent. Omo I have tire for them and UK threads. UK this, UK that. |

daboy18: My 16 years old sister left the house since Christmas eve only to be returned yesterday evening at 11pm , my dad was very angry he promised to deal with her in a way she will never forget throughout her life , my mum said he shouldn't or else they will be war.
When the girl returned my dad asks where she was and she was busy chewing gums and turning her eyes like she was having epepilsy seizure my mum was shouting at him to leave her alone but my dad hit her omg the slapped sound it still haunting me.
It was my first time seeing my dad being a man of the house that he is supposed to be long time ago and I was so proud of him but that didn't last long when my mum slapped my dad back and they started fighting omg .
She beat him up my dad is not strong cus of diabetes she locked him outside saying if I dare to open the door for him she will locked me out too.
I quietly went inside my room crying and I left the house early morning to go and look for my dad he is actually at his elder brother place he says he will not return back.
I feel sorry for him and I have sworn to never marry a woman like my mum she doesn't deserve the titled wife or mother and as for my sister she is cursed for disrespecting dad and the time she will realize her mistakes it will be too late for her.
I wish my dad a long life so I will over pamper him when I become rich, I am only 20 and one day I will make him proud. If you can, advise your dad to rent a place, if you want to join him go ahead. This will spur you into hustling hard and taking care of your dad. Women are not sweet. |
