I agree with him. If INEC is in charge of conducting LG elections, no governor will be able to hinder them from conducting elections as at when due, like they easily do to their SIEC. Imagine if the president routinely prevents INEC from conducting a governorship election and keeps elongating the tenure of an expired governor?? |
A relative of mine of about 26 years old was drafted for this war and it was a celebration galore when he came back alive. |
senatordave1:Liar! The same you who's garfield1 who's a APC through and through and can analyse any legal issue to favour APC, support PDP?? |
If Fulani to Fulani disagreement is this heated up, what would it have been if it was Fulani vs Hausa?? |
These Fulani people are not even rotating the emirship with the Hausa — they made it their perpetual heritage. What a wooooow. ![]() |
If Tinubu doesn't have hands in the return of the deposed emir, why did soldiers escort him to another palace?? Why did they even allow him to go back to Kano in the first place?? Is Nuhu Ribadu acting on his own?? |
Who then approved soldiers to escort the former emir to the alternate palace?? I guess this was before the former emir came back. |
Aba is very planned. I like the way you always see a long sea of high-rise buildings by the right and the left and a street road in between. |
Technology and Innovation live in Japan. |
I was even thinking that the recently deposed emir is Hausa while Sanusi is Fulani, but they're actually both Fulani. So this should be very easy to resolve. |
Whoever is advising him to keep doing this is doing him a great disfavor. This was how that US-based doctor thought donations and charity works would help him win Anambra gov election and he ended getting less than 2 votes . |
Abuja people should not set Kano on fire. Ganduje should take his loss in peace. |
id4sho:ICC is different from ICJ. |
A trial that shouldn't have taken more than 4 months is yet to start after nearly 2 years. |
It'd be a show of very high political astuteness and dexterity if this governor succeeds in bringing Sanusi back as emir. |
As much as I believe that ₦54K is still poor, the truth is that many people don't understand what a minimum wage is. They think it means that that is what all government workers earn, whereas it's the wage for the worker at the lowest level, probably the cleaners in govt offices. |
It's like the president or the NASS passing law to extend the tenure of a governor or extend even the tenure of the president himself. |
Rossiki with another funny thread. We're praying for Nigeria to divide into as much as 4-6 countries, because the leaders are unable to manage the bloated population, you're asking for more trouble. How does big population help any country?? Some European countries are not up to 5 million, but their GDP dwarfs Nigeria's with 200m people. |
I was expecting 85. What about the FHC judges cashing out in millions every month from politicians by granting restraining orders?? |
theredaddy:That doesn't change the fact that wealth and economic development is not measured by revenue, but GDP/GDP per capita. |
sacajawea:Yes . |
theredaddy:LIE. Read Wikipedia entries on New York, California, Berlin, London, Accra, Lagos, and any other city/state in any country at all, and you won't come across the term IGR. What concerns IGR with economic development?? IGR belongs to the govt while GDP comprises of the value of all economic activities in a country, state, city, town or even your family. The major metrics for measuring a country's/state's/city's/ prosperity are urban development rate, GDP and GDP per capita. Who cares if your country or state govt generates $100b per month but everywhere is slum and people are living in poverty like Nigeria is?? |
Thread created by ObamaMessi1 obavoh Victorusa efelicity and all the other endless monikers he uses to dispense fake stories. |
Who even does graduation ceremony inside a sitting room?? He should have indicated that the graduation is still two months away, but he only decided to honor the boy by visiting him at his home. |
In addition, they have the most urban development of any zone in Nigeria, with Lagos and Ogun alone having more urban development than the entire Southeast. This was where he shot himself on the foot. Aside Lagos, the rest of the SW is a slum. I served in Abeokuta, the very capital of Ogun State and everywhere was unplanned - you'll see a few high-rise buildings mixed up with mud, dilapidated or rusted roof houses. I'm not even from the SE, to start with. |
Is this OP smart at all?? Everybody knows you're Tinubu supporter whom we all know is most likely the wealthiest politician alive today. So why throw stones at other thieves when you know they will easily point at your man-Friday?? |
When godfather fights godson in politics, it's to the advantage of the masses. Know this and give yourself peace. |
thesicilian:Fallacy. Unless you are less than 20 years old and can't remember how life was then, there's no way you'd be saying this. Nobody was complaining and everybody knew that it was cheap then. Can you compare it to now that people who now eat rice are seen as rich people?? There was absolute price stability for foodstuff for many years. Or have you forgotten that a bag of sachet water was sold for ₦50 for more than 15 years, but suddenly tripled in price within months that APC took over. |
thesicilian:Very true. A bag of rice that used to be around ₦10K in 2015 was very costly then, as only 2% of Nigerians could afford it then. Clap for yourself please. |
A state govt building hotel in 2024?? When will both state and the FG realise that business is better left for the private sector, whilst the govt provides the enabling environment through policies, loans and laws?? |
ChristCee:The black marketers get their rate from these peer2peer crypto spots, which are heavily rigged by people who manipulate the system through placing buy orders at ridiculously high prices and then cancel it, in order to game the market, thereby skyrocketing the rate of naira to the dollar. The endgame is to make massive gains. |
Celebrating backwardness. Our oil production used to be 2.1m barrels/day 7 years ago (https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2017/02/28/nigerias-oil-production-rises-2-1-million-bpd/) . helinues:I personally had and still have a little high hope that the current government would succeed, but we must continue to put them on their toes by constructive criticism and not the destructive praise-singing you're engaging in. If we're able to remind them that there was a time we were producing 2.1mb/d, they'd be challenged to even go up higher instead of them celebrating the current mediocre level. |
