Donald Trump’s Twitter account was hacked in October despite denials by the social media giant and the administration, Dutch prosecutors have confirmed.

The White House and Twitter had both strongly denied that the hacker gained access to Mr Trump’s account by simply guessing his password was “maga2020!”

Now Dutch officials say they will not prosecute Victor Gevers as he is viewed as an “ethical hacker” who tried to raise the alarm about the vulnerability of the account.

“We believe the hacker has actually penetrated Trump’s Twitter account, but has met the criteria that have been developed in case law to go free as an ethical hacker,” said the Dutch public prosecutor’s office in a statement.

“Both the hacker and the American authorities have been informed of the outcome of the investigation,” added the prosecutors.

“I expected to be blocked after four failed attempts. Or at least would be asked to provide additional information,” he said. He says he was eventually contacted by the Secret Service, who thanked him for bringing it to their attention.

In 2016 Mr Gevers also hacked into Mr Trump’s Twitter account by correctly guessing that his password was “yourefired”, the catchphrase he used in The Apprentice TV show.

I've listed in four places but when I listed on Sedo I was told their could be a trademark infringement and they didn't list it. It got me thinking. What do I do? It's illegal to do so. You were only lucky to have sold that Mercedes domain name. You may use a generic word instead of a brand name to qualify whatever service you have in the domain. You may say "SUV repairs LA.com" instead of "Jeep repairs LA.com",because Jeep is a trademark.

And how are you even sure this American bank account will not charge you? As long as it is Payoneer I believe you can withdraw money to any bank account recognised by their system.

You should rather try to find out how negligible what your American account charges is in comparison to your Nigerian account.

The way Payoneer makes money, I suspect, is by charging a transaction fee just like PayPal. The 26 dollars may not be entirely the fault of the Nigerian banks.

I once used it to withdraw money from Upwork and I wasn't charged. I wanted to know if it's the same with Dan.
