@ Chinaimporter You have just taken the very simple step expected of you. You have the choice, you have chosen who you want to serve. You have access to yourself and can choose to either love or hate ANY other things. You are for God or not will only be an issue to Him if paradventure you live and die as if you are the owner of your soul. |
kimond101:You mean Christ is lie with God when God himself revealed his identity through most prophets of the old long before his coming? You might be sceptical about knowledge and understanding of God through the prophets. |
kimond101:Yet your understanding can't be complete without knowing roles of Spirit of God as defined clearly in the Bible. |
kimond101:Do you understand God as a Spirit and how do you mean by saying 'ascribing patners' to God? Who are the partners? |
kimond101:Do you understand God as a Spirit? And what do you mean by intermediary? |
Be Filled with the Spirit (Pentecost) As this week marks the Pentecost week, Christians are expected to long for and invite Holy Spirit into their lives. A Christian without the Holy Spirit is an empty Christian. Holy Spirit is the power that enables Christians to live victoriously and please God. He teaches and reminds Christians of things about God, His kingdom and godly lifestyle. God wants everyone who is willing to receive Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:18 -19. Be filled with the Holy Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. We have the followings for discussion: Filled with the Spirit; Spirit-Filled Living;Spirit-Filled Unity and Service. Filled with the Spirit: God gives His Spirit to those who are living to accomplish His purpose. He took of His Spirit that rested upon Moses and gave it to seventy elders to enable them perform leadership roles for success of His work (Number 11:24-29). It was after the elders had received spiritual empowerment that they were able to relieve Moses of the leadership workload and prophesy. Today God wants all Christians to have the main ingredient (Holy Spirit) required for success in spiritual leadership and to continue in faith. Distribution of God's Spirit to the seventy elders who worked with Moses foreshadowed the great outpouring of Holy Spirit upon the Early Church (Acts 2:1-4). Physical manifestation of Holy Spirit has continued since the time a group of 120 disciples received the promised gift in Jerusalem. It can not be possible for Churches to minister effectively without the power of Holy Spirit. It wasn't possible for the Early Church to witness for Christ until disciples received spiritual empowerment. Peter had thought of going back to his previous work before he received the power for God's service. Today God fills people with His Spirit and uses them in various ways. The Spirit fills and equips the Church to spread gospel to all people and nations. Christians can reach all nations with the gospel and share the message effectively when they are baptised in the Holy Spirit. God's promise of Holy Spirit is for all, as prophesied by Joel in the Old Testament (Joel 2:28-29). Spirit-Filled Living: Spirit-filled living encourages true fellowship; it encourages genuine worship of God and caring for others (Acts 2:41-47). For Christians to live a spirit-filled life they must continue to worship, fellowship, pray and grow in the knowledge of the scriptures. Our life in the spirit must be evident to all that God dwells in us, and we love one another (John 13:35). Holy Spirit impacts and transforms lives of believers. We should obey God's word and submit our selves to one another in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:18-21). A spirit-filled life makes it possible to avoid destructive work of the flesh (Galatians 5: 19-21) and embrace the life that bears godly fruits (Christlike characters, Galatians 5:22-25). Those characters depict the right relationship with God and others. Spirit-Filled Unity and Service: The spirit of God unites believers and makes it easier to have concern for the others. We must follow example of the love, compassion and self-sacrifice of the Early Church to consider others and strive to meet their material needs. Holy Spirit gives the power and enablement to meet needs. Holy Spirit is the strength, the power and the wisdom we need to minister effectively and transform lives (2 Corinthians 3:5-6; Romans 7:9-11; 1 Peter 4:11). To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Numbers 11:10-29; Acts 2:1-17, 41-47; 4:31-35; 2 Corinthians 3:1-8; Galatians 5:22-26; Ephesians 5:18-21. |
The way of God man knoweth not. He is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. To him be the glory, honour and adoration. |
MKO4ever:Bros, stop joining others to believe in lies and spread it... When the northern governors have shed light on when, who and how boko haram was started. It is purely politics of certain selfish politicians of north. Something they started years before Jonathan became the president. |
Great nation, funny and interesting people! Northern Governor seeking amnesty for the terrorists, same thing they rejected when ex president Jonathan was prepared to grant to them before boko haram was named terrorists by the United Nations, and which president Buhari declined to be their chief negotiator when they invited him to stand on their behalf. We are watching how the whole events will turn out this time around. |
Hope to see another good example, this time around from the North that can beat ex president Jonathan record. He acted according to his promise and now he has been made a great leader. Some may still ask when and how, but he made it. |
Oh God of mercy touch hearts of the wicked who have spread across the North for genuine repentance. The only thing or option that can help achieve that is CHRIST GOSPEL though it may not be sweet to hears of many of them, it's the real thing that can CHANGE LIVES AND PURIFY HEARTS FOR DOING GOOD AND MAKE INDIVIDUALS PEACE-LOVING PEOPLE, esp those who are confused politically and religiously in the North. |
Many are just difficult to understand. When Jonathan took matters to God through prayers they were the ones calling him names, but Buhari started same thing these people are satisfied. People can't pretent to be serving God with wicked hearts, it is either they are for him or against him. God is interested in humility and faithfulness of those seeking divine intervention. Those putting God first should not be mocked for looking up to him for solutions to difficult issues. Anyway, Congrats to President Buhari, I pray he will have the sense of direction, all enemies of progress and peaceful Nigeria shall be defeated and rendered useless for life. |
icedbreez:Former President Jonathan has made the history. He achieved what seemed impossible. He is honoured for smooth transition without bloodshed. |
juman:Bad people, bad governance since...? If fingers are the way to good governance, what will be the way to make bad people good and responsible people, esp the ones killing others as they go. |
Blizzy9ja:Certificate of exemption could have done the old man better |
noblezone:Yet one Nigeria and a particular tribe of the North is allowed to destroy others under the pretence of communal conflicts and terrorism. Yet we are one with one tribe sending others to early graves. Do you think the people and tribes being killed are comfortable? |
tkcosby02:But when problem of a particular tribe is everywhere. I am not sentimental it's just an observation on what the people have been doing and known for in the past and presently. The main headache is blindness of Nigerian constitution to resolution of conflicts as being caused by the people without bias. |
tkcosby02:His kinsmen are the ones sponsoring and fighting as terrorists. We are all interested to see how they will respond to his call and warning against violence. |
Tgirl4real:It wasn't registered for ke! You mean it's just automatic to access the account and move the money out, even without the concept of the owner of the account? That's very bad, and means they create an avenue to defraud rather to securely transact business with the mobile account. GTBank should either stop or ensure the platform is secure as a matter of urgency. |
Fulani and trail of violence following them everywhere they go. Those who targeted the refugee camp for the killing might be boko haram remnants from sambisa forest. For how long will they continue to dwell among other tribes with wicked hearts and dangerous mission? May God find them out of darkness, remove evil from their hearts and settle them as reasonable human beings. |
linearity:This makes me sound Heh! So technology has gone beyond thwarting and faking physical appearance to faking the whole human beings - their organs and body system, all for criminal behaviors. |
xdos:A good lesson here... The need to verify source of money getting to one's account before being withdrawn for someone claiming to have used the account. |
Exponental:You mean they hide somewhere and a load of cash will just be carried to them, even with the security escort and they wouldn't be arrested? Lol! |
bola4dprec:But not all accounts are registered for BVN, I think mandatory registration still extends to the end of June. |
ttymyluv:Like how much were you charged? |
Tgirl4real: Tgirl4real:So simple process and may not be secure. Careless mistake will make your acct empty without any trace within few seconds. You shouldn't have registered your account for internet banking. Mobile application can be more secure for transactions and serve you better. You just need to load the mobile wallet from your main accout with the amount you need over a period of time, and with your ATM card you can do that at any time |

Parables about the Kingdom Christ gave the following parables to describe people's attitude toward the kingdom of God. The way of kingdom is open to all but only a few people consider it. The value of the kingdom of God surpasses anything on earth we may consider as thing of joy and happiness. As described by Jesus God's kingdom is about the present and future realities. Romans 14:17 - The kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. We have the followings for discussion: Growth in the Kingdom; Surpassing Value of the Kingdom; Future of the Kingdom. Growth in the Kingdom: Jesus used parables to describe people's attitude toward kingdom of God. The first parable could be described as "The parable of the Soils" though many believe it is "The parable of the Sower. The parable describes hearts of people toward the Word of Life as different kinds of soils (Matthew 13:18-23). God's word to some people is like a seed that fell on the path, which is trampled and eaten by the birds. The soil describes a person who hears the Word but lacks understanding. The second type of soil is rocky; it contains some topsoil, but not enough to sustain long-term growth and establishment. This describes a person who responds at first but couldn't endure challenges. The third type of soil is good but filled with thorns, the seed grows on it but will be chocked eventually. This describes the situation when cares of the world make it impossible to continue living by God's word. The last soil is good and fertile for growth. This represents a person who hears the Word, receives it and brings others to God. Those who want to make heaven should receive God's message, save their lives and make sure they touch and save lives of others with the help of Holy Spirit. Jesus continued with the parable of the Mustard Seed. He wants the kingdom work to expand rapidly even from the smallest beginnings (Matthew 13:31-33). The parable demonstrates the need to overcome all odds and increase over time. The kingdom activities should not be stagnated on account of the size at the beginning. As the kingdom is expanding believers should spread the message in such an way to transform and save lives. Surpassing Value of the Kingdom: Jesus also used two parables to illustrate the extraordinary and surpassing value of God's eternal kingdom (Matthew 13:44-46). God's eternal kingdom is like a hidden treasure which is worth more than all valuable things of the earth. Jesus stated that the kingdom of heaven is worth all sacrifice to get it. Nothing compares to entering into God's kingdom. All things of the earth are temporary and will pass away but God's kingdom lasts to eternity. Ultimate priority must be given to matters of eternal realities. Christians should make kingdom of heaven their primary pursuits on earth. Future of the Kingdom: Jesus gave another parable which describes the world as field in which the enemy sowed tares among good seeds. Jesus is the landowner, the One who sowed the good seeds - children of the kingdom, while devil is the enemy who sowed the tares - the wicked ones (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43). Jesus doesn't want God's people to judge the wicked. God will separate the wicked from His people and deliver them over to eternal punishment on the day of judgment. While it may be difficult to differentiate those truly living as children of the kingdom from those being used by Satan to corrupt Church's testimony, Christians are not to judge anyone. God knows everyone and will judge righteously. In another parable which is like the parable of wheat and tares Jesus compared the kingdom of God to a fishermen dragnet which picked different kinds of fish. The fishermen would separate the good fish from the bad ones (Matthew 13:47-50). God will allow different people to come to the Church and learn of Him, only those who truly surrender their lives to lordship of Jesus Christ will be part of His kingdom. Those who want to be part of God's kingdom must conform o the image of His Son (Romans 8:29; 1 Corinthians 14:49). To God be the glory. Lesson texts: Matthew 13:1-52. |
Infinitikoncept:Your shipping companies or agents? |
Those terrorists and their sponsors really mean the business but they will never succeed. Very soon they will go with history. |
Obynolee: Obynolee:You just need to study and understand Christ's message and madate to those who are called to live as God's representatives on earth. You can start with few chapters on Christ's preachings. Read the whole Matthew chapters 5, 6 & 7 and come back to discuss your understanding of the renewed covenant, or what God has given to the world as the new testament. |
Who is fooling who? The president, governors and their finance ambassadors are fooling Nigerians. They have gotten and shared so much money yet they pretend as if nothing has happened. What has those billions influenced in the lives of ordinary citizens? dotna:All these politicians will always pretend, but they are never saints. All over the places people are facing tight financial conditions that many are suddenly becoming beggars. They should expose themselves down to when the president elect was made the PTF chairman in order to safeguard the course of justice. |
